“Dare to hit Brother Three!” A group of people stood up from the bedside, glaring at me and shouting. 0

Sitting on the large bed inside, the Room Manager said, “Alright, alright, everyone back off. I’ll handle this.” 0

The crowd cursed and surrounded me, looking as if they were eager to take credit for beating me up. 0

The Room Manager continued, “You’ve got quite a bit of strength; I didn’t expect you to have such a temper at your age. I can overlook the fact that you injured Three Sons since that’s your conflict, but rules still need to be followed. Otherwise, I won’t be able to explain things to Brother Huzi.” 0

“Does that mean I have to wash your feet today?” I asked. 0

The Room Manager replied, “Whether today or tomorrow, you’re going to wash them. There’s no escaping it.” 0

“Then let’s do it today. Back when I was working outside the mountain, I heard that Foot Washers earn tens of thousands a month. I’ve always wanted to learn, but they wouldn’t take men. This is a good chance to learn,” I said as I walked toward the Room Manager. 0

“The Room Manager’s foot-washing basin is right here, you pig,” a young boy with sharp eyes said casually while nudging me and pointing at the basin on the rack. 0

“Wait a moment.” I picked up the basin and went outside to fill it with water. 0

The sharp-eyed boy added, “If you’re going to fill it that much, you have to drink half a basin first. This place is already humid enough; if water spills everywhere, whose responsibility is that?” 0

I ignored the boy while the crowd behind me burst into laughter, some praising him and giving him thumbs up. 0

Whether in a military camp or a prison, newcomers often bully the latest arrivals; it’s a way to establish authority. 0

I brought the water over to the Room Manager’s bedside. He still held onto his book and extended his foot toward me, signaling for me to take off his socks first. I removed his socks and placed them beside the bed before gripping his ankle and placing his foot in the basin. 0

“Ouch.” The Room Manager kicked his foot up from the basin, trying to splash water onto my face, but his foot was firmly held down by me in the basin. 0

I looked at the Room Manager and said, "Room Manager, your heart is cold. Sudden exposure to cold water can easily cause a strong reaction in your knees." 0

As I spoke, I rubbed the Room Manager's feet and then suddenly lifted the basin, splashing the water onto his face. 0

The Room Manager was furious, completely caught off guard by my actions. He was stunned for a second, and by the time he reacted, I was already standing on his bed, holding his socks tightly around his neck. 0

"Do you think I'm easy to bully just because I work in the fields?" I whispered in his ear. 0

A group of people rushed towards me, some even pulling out iron rods from under the bed. I shouted at them, "If you're not afraid of him dying, come over!" 0

The Room Manager's face turned red from being choked. He strained to speak, "Let's talk this out. If you kill me, you won't survive either. There are so many people here; if Brother Huzi finds out, he won't let you go. Let me go and I won't let my brothers harm you." 0

"You really are magnanimous, Room Manager." I loosened my grip slightly as I searched for that Eyed Boy among the angry faces. 0

Pointing at him in the crowd, I said, "I can let you go, but I just saved two bowls of water mixed with your foot-soaking grime for this Eyed Boy to drink. Otherwise, you'll have to drink it yourself." 0

"Are you looking to die?" Eyed Boy shouted at me. 0

"It seems your friends aren't very protective of you," I said as I suddenly tightened my grip on the Room Manager's socks. Pulling back sharply, I lifted him off the ground, causing strange noises to escape his throat. He pointed at Eyed Boy and then at the basin by the bed, mumbling one word: "Drink!" 0

I loosened my grip a bit and said to the Room Manager, "I'll give you ten seconds. Either you drink it all or he does, or I'll choke you to death—I'm serious." 0

The Room Manager yelled at Eyed Boy, "Finish it right now! If anyone kills him, they'll be the biggest in this dorm besides me!" 0

"Don't hit him! I'll drink!" Eyed Boy exclaimed in fear as he hurriedly picked up the basin from the ground. Looking at the layer of grime floating on top, he hesitated until the Room Manager shouted at him again: "Drink!" 0

Eyed Boy immediately lifted the basin and gulped it down in one go. I leaned into the Room Manager's ear and said, "Now you've got to deal with this bowl of hot mess." 0

The Room Manager obediently shouted at the Eyed Boy, "Drink this bowl of hot mess!" 0

The people nearby showed strange expressions, while the Eyed Boy spat out the foot-soaking water with a "pfft" and ran aside to vomit uncontrollably. 0

"You have potential, Room Manager," I said as I picked up the book that the Room Manager had been reading earlier. Looking at the cover, I saw the large characters for Jin Ping Mei, then placed the book on top of the Room Manager's head. "You have such refined taste. I've read this book long ago; we are kindred spirits. I washed your feet as you asked without breaking your rules, but you must also adhere to mine. I’m letting you go now. If you want to retaliate, feel free to try. I am sent by Elder Hong, and there’s no one in the Water Storage Room that I fear. Elder Hong thinks this place is quite chaotic and is considering whether to change its leadership, so think carefully." 0

After saying that, I patted the Room Manager on the shoulder and jumped off the bed. The other people in the dormitory blocked my way, asking for the Room Manager's opinion. 0

"Let him go," the Room Manager said. 0

Once back in my Tile House, I began to sleep soundly with the door wide open, allowing anyone passing by outside to see me. 0

I had offended the second-in-command of the Water Storage Room yet remained unscathed, sleeping peacefully with my door open, unafraid of being beaten to death by those who might want to harm me. Anyone thinking of making a move would surely reconsider. 0

Although my parting words to the Room Manager were somewhat cryptic, I was indeed the only one from the latest selection allowed into the Water Storage Room. The people there had no chance to interact with the outside world; they couldn't even reach Outer Sect Disciples. 0

I was brought here by Elder Hong's Dao Child, and during conflicts with those from the Water Supply Room, that Dao Child did not favor anyone from the Miscellaneous Room. This made it clear that in Elder Hong's eyes, the Water Storage Room was insignificant; he had no need to protect or target anyone. 0

Even those around Elder Hong referred to us as lower-class individuals. 0

Thus, I speculated that Huang Laohu, the tyrant of Reservoir Mountain, was merely a king of this hill. Compared to Azure Cloud Sect's Inner Sect and Outer Sect, he was nothing more than a nuisance; everyone had simply grown accustomed to being suppressed by him. 0

The Room Manager did not retaliate after I let him go; he must have been contemplating the truth of my words. Even if he investigated later, he wouldn't uncover anything substantial because I was indeed sent in by Elder Hong. Moreover, Elder Hong's Dao Child had criticized those from the Miscellaneous Room a few times because of me and allowed me to descend from the mountain freely once. 0

The Room Manager was also a disciple who had not cultivated Dao Qi; being over thirty years old made him equivalent to a useless disciple in a sect. He probably wasn't even regarded by those guarding the gates and lacked qualifications to enter Outer Sect. Therefore, any superficial findings would only work in my favor. 0

My statement about "Elder Hong considering whether to change leadership in this chaotic Water Storage Room" referred specifically to Huang Laohu. If Huang Laohu were toppled, it would naturally be his turn to become master of this mountain of Water Storage Room. He would have to consider this seriously, and I was certain he wouldn’t bring it up with Huang Laohu. 0

When I woke up, it was already evening. The autumn chill had settled in the mountains, and the cold air was unavoidable, especially since I had only a thin blanket covering me while I slept. 0

Ever since I consumed the Ointment from the Medicine King's Cave, my physical condition had improved significantly. My strength had increased, and I felt full of energy. I still remembered how, while soaking in the hot springs of the Medicine King's Cave, my pores expelled impurities, and over time, those impurities became less and less. 0

In the Treasure Pavilion of the Azure Cloud Sect, when I placed my hand on the testing compass, the gray bead shattered instantly under a burst of light. Perhaps it exceeded its limits; that bead was used to test the aptitude of Cultivators. Looking back now, I was glad I hadn't tested it in front of everyone. Otherwise, drawing attention would have certainly attracted the gaze of some powerful figures beyond my reach, which would have been detrimental to me. 0

In this dormitory, aside from the sheets and blanket, there were hardly any living essentials. Even washing my face and brushing my teeth became a problem. 0

At that moment, the Room Manager was standing under the water tower, watching everyone work. When he saw me awake, he nodded at me. 0

I returned his nod and casually asked, "Where do you all get your living supplies?" 0

The Room Manager replied, "From the Miscellaneous Room down the mountain. Didn't anyone arrange that for you when you arrived?" 0

"No one got anything for me. I had a little altercation with someone from the Water Supply Room yesterday; they’re probably trying to compete with me." I shook my head and happened to see a sturdy young man named Three Sons running up from down the mountain with water. I pointed at him and shouted for him to come over. 0

He was the third in command of the Water Storage Room's large dormitory. However, aside from Huang Laohu and the Room Manager, he also had to work. Yesterday, after I knocked Three Sons out, he now approached me with an arrogant attitude and dropped what he was carrying to confront me with a shoulder pole. 0

I grabbed the pole and delivered a punch to his face, hitting him hard several times. The Room Manager hurried over and said, "Brother Yang Hao, let's talk this out. Why are you hitting him for no reason?" 0

I replied, "I'm not usually that kind of person; it's just that I've been used to bullying others in the past. After taking quite a few pills from Elder Hong, my body has become this strong. Seeing him act so nonchalantly made me want to teach him a lesson. How about this: you let him give me his set of living supplies and he can go buy another set for himself." 0
