In the end, the police dispatched personnel once again to investigate. One team went to the hospital to check the surveillance footage, while another team examined the lunchboxes and kitchen utensils. When the results came in, everyone fell silent.

The video showed Lin Yan and Fu Jing in an intimate moment. Fu Jing was lying on the bed while Lin Yan sat on his lap, both of them locked in a passionate kiss. Beside them lay my paralyzed grandmother quietly.
"Doctor Lin, what are you doing?"

The expressions on Fu Jing and Lin Yan's faces changed instantly. They rushed toward me to grab my phone, but were stopped by the police.
The video was copied onto a computer and enlarged, allowing everyone to clearly see the entwined figures of the two. My paralyzed grandmother lay beside them.
Everyone was shocked, staring incredulously at Fu Jing and Lin Yan.
"No... it’s not like this..." Lin Yan stammered in panic.
Fu Jing glared at me fiercely.
I ignored his gaze and continued playing the video.
Fu Jing lay on the bed while Lin Yan sat on his lap, chatting away.
"Fu Jing, didn't you say you were going to divorce your wife? Why haven't you brought it up?"
"Bring it up? If I initiate the divorce now, wouldn't that ruin my good image?"
"And besides, my mom is still at home, I need someone to take care of her."

Fu Jing was left speechless.
The police locked them in a neighboring room while they conducted an investigation at home.
Earlier, Fu Jing had deleted the surveillance footage, but I had secretly saved a copy.
This video was the crucial piece of evidence.
The police found bodily fluids from both of them on Fu Jing's bedsheets.
In Lin Yan's shopping app, they discovered records of her payments to a pesticide store.
With both eyewitness and physical evidence present, Fu Jing and Lin Yan had no way to defend themselves.
The police released the investigation results online, and I was also set free. As soon as I stepped out of the police station, Lin Yan approached me. She said she wanted to meet with me, and I agreed.
Lin Yan cried, " Yuanyuan, I'm sorry. At first, my feelings for Fu Jing were just those of a regular friend."
