Li Ming suddenly woke up from his bed, his heart racing as if he had just escaped from a nightmare. He gasped for breath, his eyes filled with a hint of fear and confusion as he looked around. This was a quiet and peaceful room, adorned with several landscape paintings on the walls, their elegant aura seemingly soothing his troubled mind. A candle flickered on the table, its weak light casting a soft and warm glow throughout the room. 0

The window was half-open, and a gentle breeze flowed in, bringing a touch of coolness. This chill brushed against Li Ming's body, sending a shiver down his spine. The damp sweat mixed with the cold air created an indescribable discomfort deep within him, as if he were submerged in icy water. 0

His mind was still filled with fragments of the fierce battle he had just experienced—the flash of blades, the cold smiles of enemies, and the feeling of helplessness as he lay in a pool of blood. These memories surged like a tide, causing him to tremble involuntarily. He shook his head vigorously, trying to dispel the shadows, but the unease and doubt lingered. 0

"Where am I?" he murmured to himself, his voice trembling and low. Li Ming desperately wanted to get out of bed to investigate, but as he attempted to rise, he immediately felt his body wrapped tightly in bandages; every movement sent sharp pain coursing through him. Gritting his teeth against the agony, he struggled to prop himself up, but each action felt like a test of his endurance. 0

"What is happening? Who saved me?" Questions flooded Li Ming's mind. His memories were hazy; all he could recall was being gravely injured during the fight before losing consciousness. Now awake, he found himself lying in this unfamiliar room, tightly bound in bandages that throbbed with pain. 0

He tried to struggle out of bed, but even the slightest movement brought intense pain. Li Ming clenched his jaw as beads of sweat formed on his forehead. His fingers trembled as he attempted to touch the wounds beneath the bandages, but the sharp sting made him gasp for air, and darkness threatened to cloud his vision. 0

"I need to calm down." Li Ming forced himself to take deep breaths, striving for composure. He knew that he couldn't make any significant movements right now; he needed to regain some strength first. Slowly, he lay back down on the bed, feeling the hardness of the wooden frame and the warmth of the blankets; his anxiety gradually gave way to a sense of helplessness. 0

The candlelight continued to flicker in the breeze, while the landscape paintings on the wall seemed to whisper tales of ancient tranquility. Li Ming's thoughts began to settle, yet the questions and worries in his heart remained unresolved. He understood that no matter who had saved him or where he was now, he needed to recover quickly because the outside world was still fraught with unknown dangers and challenges. 0

Li Ming's body ached unbearably, as if every muscle were protesting against him. The conversation with Mo Shiu in that alternate space echoed incessantly in his mind—the eerie voice, the chilling presence, and Mo Shiu's abyss-like eyes were all hard to forget. He couldn't tell if it had all been just a dream or some kind of ominous premonition. 0

He raised his right hand to confirm whether he was still in reality. When his gaze fell upon his wrist, a jolt of shock coursed through him. The Chaos Pearl was gone! That pearl which had always accompanied him and helped him navigate countless dangers had vanished without a trace. 0

"Chaos Pearl... where did you go?" Li Ming exclaimed in surprise, panic flooding his heart. He tried to recall when he last held the Chaos Pearl in his hand, but all that remained was a blur of memory. 0

Just as he was engulfed in despair, the door curtain was gently lifted, revealing a familiar figure stepping inside. It was Master Han—his mentor and guide. Upon seeing Li Ming awake, Master Han's face broke into a relieved smile, his eyes sparkling with joy. 0

"Li Ming, you finally woke up," Master Han said as he approached the bedside, his voice gentle. "Do you feel any better?" 0

Li Ming took a deep breath, trying to calm himself, and nodded. "Master Han, I... I'm okay. It's just that... the Chaos Pearl is missing." A hint of fear and unease crept into his voice as he looked directly at Master Han, seeking answers and comfort. 0

Master Han furrowed his brow slightly, the relief on his face shifting to seriousness. He lowered his head in thought for a moment before patting Li Ming's shoulder, his tone firm yet soothing. 0

Li Ming's gaze remained fixed on Master Han, hoping to learn about the whereabouts of the Chaos Pearl from him. However, Master Han did not respond directly; he merely smiled faintly and redirected the conversation toward Li Ming's recovery. 0

"Li Ming, right now the most important thing is your health. You need to rest and regain your strength," Master Han said in a warm yet resolute tone, clearly unwilling to linger on the matter of the Chaos Pearl. 0

But Li Ming was not ready to give up; his heart was filled with confusion and urgency. "Master Han, where has the Chaos Pearl gone? It's very important to me; I need to know." His voice carried a note of pleading and determination. 0

Hearing this, Master Han's expression shifted slightly, revealing a hint of displeasure. He shook his head and sighed. "Li Ming, have you really been brainwashed by the Chaos Pearl?" Disappointment and helplessness seeped into his tone. 0

Li Ming was taken aback; Master Han's words felt like a cold splash of water over him. A flicker of bewilderment crossed his eyes. "Brainwashed? Master, what do you mean?" 0

Master Han's brow furrowed deeply, his expression serious. "Li Ming, have you forgotten everything? Forgotten your battle with Feng Tianlong? In that fight, you lost your sanity and even attacked me." 0

Memories flooded back to Li Ming like a dam bursting open. He recalled the fierce clash with Feng Tianlong—the bloodshed and brutality—and that uncontrollable surge of violent power. It was a force so foreign yet overwhelming that it caused him to lose himself in battle, even striking his own master. 0

"I... did I really do those things?" Li Ming's voice trembled as disbelief washed over him. His gaze shifted from confusion to guilt and pain, unable to meet Master Han's eyes. 0

Seeing Li Ming's reaction, Master Han sighed again, his tone softening slightly. "Li Ming, this is not your fault. The power of the Chaos Pearl is incredibly strong and dangerous. It can amplify your emotions and cause you to lose your reason without you even realizing it." 0

Li Ming took a deep breath, deciding to share his conversation with Mo Shiu during his unconsciousness with Master Han. He knew this information was crucial and could not be concealed. 0

“Master Han,” Li Ming began, his voice tinged with a hint of nervousness, “while I was unconscious, I entered a strange alternate space and encountered Mo Shiu. He told me that the Chaos Pearl is actually a tool used to seal him.” 0

Upon hearing this, Master Han's expression changed dramatically, a flicker of terror flashing in his eyes. He exclaimed loudly, “Impossible! Mo Shiu... he cannot still exist!” 0

Li Ming was taken aback by Master Han's reaction; he had never seen this usually composed elder lose his composure like this. He struggled to regain his calm and continued to explain, “Master Han, I am not sure about Mo Shiu's influence in the Three Realms, but I truly felt that he is an extremely dangerous figure. Even in the alternate space, his presence suffocated me with fear.” 0

After listening, Master Han's face grew even more serious, revealing deep concern in his eyes. He walked to the window and gazed into the distance, seemingly lost in thought. After a moment, he turned back to Li Ming, his tone low and grave: “Li Ming, you do not understand Mo Shiu's true power. He once roamed freely across the Three Realms, leaving devastation in his wake. His existence poses a tremendous threat; whether in the Divine Realm, Demon Realm, or Human Realm, all are deeply wary of him.” 0
