Such a reckless act of killing three thousand while injuring herself eight hundred left Jono severely depleted. As she drove to the riverbank, she could no longer hold back her emotions and collapsed onto the steering wheel, tears streaming down her face.
She had always known that Jin Chengyan did not love her; the only thing he felt for her was for her body. It had been that way four years ago, and it remained the same now.
She could not protect her body, nor could she guard her heart.

Before Qi Ziluo could finish, Jono interrupted him.
"Can Qiao Lovely wait three years?"
"If you are suggesting that Qiao Lovely wait three years because of your relationship with Ayan, then Qiao Lovely will not be able to wait that long," Qi Ziluo stated bluntly.
Jono's mood sank to an all-time low.
"Actually, now that things have come to this point, I want to tell you that the person who matched successfully with Qiao Lovely is Ayan."
With a loud bang, Jono felt as if his mind was about to explode!
The person who matched successfully was actually Jin Chengyan!
Why him?
How could it be him?
"He was one of the first to get tested, but worried about his compatibility, so he had all the healthy employees from the Jin Family undergo testing. Out of tens of thousands of samples, only he and Qiao Lovely matched." Qi Ziluo had been observing everything these days and naturally wanted to speak up for his friend. Exiting Qi Ziluo's office, Jono walked weakly toward Qiao Lovely's hospital room.
In the corridor, he encountered Qiao Lovely's biological mother, Chen Yue.
She hesitated at the door of Qiao Lovely's room, seemingly wanting to enter but didn’t. When she turned around and saw Jono, a somewhat ingratiating smile appeared on her face.
"Miss Qiao, look, I'm about to undergo surgery soon. The money you promised me—could you give me a little bit in advance?" Chen Yue’s complexion was slightly yellowed, giving off a malnourished vibe.
Why hadn’t Jono noticed anything unusual before?
“Miss Qiao, are you going to go back on your word? If you don’t give me the money, I won’t perform the surgery, and let Qiao Lovely fend for herself…”
“Smack—” Before Chen Yue could finish, Jono slapped her across the face.
How could someone like her even deserve to be a mother? When her own flesh and blood faced life and death, all she could think about was money!

“So you deceived me? Do you know how much hope I had, thinking that finding you would finally allow Qiao Lovely to have the surgery? And now you’ve ruined everything with your drug abuse. How are you going to help Qiao Lovely?” Jono was at her wit's end, filled with frustration.
Everything from the past few days weighed heavily on her nerves, and now that Chen Yue had touched that nerve, Jono felt like she was about to break down!
She tightly gripped Chen Yue’s neck, unable to believe that all of this was real!
Chen Yue grabbed Jono’s wrist, bewildered by the strength Jono suddenly possessed.
The way Jono looked as if she wanted to kill someone was terrifying.
At that moment in the hospital, when Qiao Chen arrived, he saw Jono in a frenzy. He quickly rushed over and pried Jono’s hands away, pulling her into his embrace with all his strength.
“Sis, sis, calm down! Please calm down!” Qiao Chen didn’t know what had happened, but seeing Jono like this made it clear that it had something to do with Chen Yue.
When Chen Yue saw Qiao Chen arrive and realized that Jono had exposed her earlier actions, she gasped for breath and immediately fled.
“Chen Yue—” Qiao Chen wanted to call out to her. How could she just run away when Qiao Lovely’s surgery still needed to be done?
But with Jono sobbing in his arms, he found himself unable to chase after Chen Yue.
"What's wrong, sister?"
Jono's sobs gradually subsided as she composed herself, holding onto Qiao Chen's arm.
"Her current physical condition does not allow for a match with Qiao Lovely."

Jono didn't want Qiao Chen to know that the donor was Jin Chengyan. She could even imagine Qi Ziluo deliberately revealing that the bone marrow donor was Jin Chengyan, surely under his instructions.
Jin Chengyan just wanted her to give in and submit.
But Jono had no other choice; if she wanted to save Qiao Lovely, there was no alternative.
"No, it's fine. I'll talk to Dr. Qi about this. Don't you still have company matters to attend to?" Jono quickly agreed to handle it herself. If she let Qiao Chen get involved, who knew how it would turn out in the end?
Jin Chengyan and Qiao Chen were both strong-willed individuals; Jono truly couldn't imagine what would happen if they clashed.
With their mindsets adjusted, the two entered Qiao Lovely's hospital room.
Qiao Lovely's condition had been deteriorating over the past few days. When she first entered the hospital, she could still joke and laugh, but now she lay in bed all day long. The daily examinations had drained her energy significantly, and with her worsening illness, there were far fewer smiles on her face.
Jono also noticed that Qiao Lovely's hair was falling out little by little, so she could only put a hat on Qiao Lovely to prevent her from overthinking.
When they entered, Qiao Lovely had just woken up from her sleep, but there was still an IV drip in her hand, and it hurt a bit. She looked at Jono with tearful eyes.
"Mommy, Little Daddy, my cute hand hurts so much..." Qiao Lovely wanted to raise her hand, but she didn't have the strength.
Seeing Qiao Lovely like this made Jono's eyes turn red instantly.
She sat beside Qiao Lovely and gently touched her forehead.
"Sweetheart, Mommy will blow on it for you, and it won't hurt anymore!" Jono lightly blew on the back of Qiao Lovely's hand.
What used to be a chubby little hand now had a bruise on the back, all caused by the IV.
