Jin Chengyan walked over to Jono, as she had no intention of getting into the car. Ever since she left the Jin Family Mansion, this woman had been quite disobedient.
"Come here, Jono," Jin Chengyan called out, his tone exuding a sense of masculinity, a declaration of ownership over Jono in front of Yan Beiting.
To his surprise, Jono actually took a few steps toward him, uncertain of what Yan Beiting intended to do.
But just as she moved forward, Yan Beiting grabbed her by the arm.
"Yan Beiting, I really am Jin Chengyan's... wife. I signed the marriage agreement willingly, and this has nothing to do with you. Please don’t interfere," Jono said helplessly, looking at Yan Beiting as if offering her final explanation.
Upon hearing Jono's words, Yan Beiting felt as if his mind had exploded. How could Jono be married to Jin Chengyan?
How could this happen!
He had returned because of Jono, only to find that Jin Chengyan had beaten him to it?
It seemed that karma truly existed! In the past, Jin Chengyan had liked Ruan Shengyu, while she had wholeheartedly loved Yan Beiting.
Now, the person in Yan Beiting's heart was Jono, yet Jono was married to Jin Chengyan.
Had he returned too late, or was there another reason?
Still, Yan Beiting couldn’t believe that someone who loved Ruan Shengyu so deeply would actually marry Jono; there had to be another reason behind it!
"I came here today to resolve other matters!" Yan Beiting said, still holding onto Jono's arm but directing his gaze at Jin Chengyan.

Jin Chengyan remained silent, watching Yan Beiting. What could he possibly have to resolve? Take Jono away?
Suddenly, Yan Beiting gestured towards his car, and one of Yan San's men, who had been waiting at the rear of the vehicle, dragged out a middle-aged man.
Jono squinted in the light and recognized the man—Lu Ling.
Confusion washed over her as she looked at Yan Beiting.
Lu Ling, upon seeing Jin Chengyan and Jono, was terrified and fell to his knees, trembling as Yan Beiting's men held him in place.
"Lu Ling?!" Jono exclaimed in surprise, glancing from Lu Ling to Yan Beiting. Now she truly had no idea what Yan Beiting intended to do!
Yet, Yan Beiting did not spare Lu Ling a glance. He released Jono and stepped in front of Jin Chengyan.
"I don't know what you did to Jono, but regarding Ruan Shengyu, don't you dare shift the blame onto her! She had nothing to do with that incident! If you harm Jono because of Ruan Shengyu, I won't just stand by anymore." This was Yan Beiting's bottom line.
Jin Chengyan shot a glance at Jono; it seemed there were indeed many black knights around! Even Yan Beiting was doing her bidding!
"This has nothing to do with you; it's best if you don't interfere," Jin Chengyan replied dismissively. He had just come from the Jin Family and remained unfazed even in the face of threats from Jin Zhongshu and Melancholy.
However, Jono was completely taken aback. Was Yan Beiting here because of this matter?
"Third Young Master, Jin Shao, please spare me! I was just following orders for money. If I had known Miss Qiao and Miss Ruan were so close to you, I wouldn't have dared to do this even if you gave me ten times the courage!" Lu Ling cried out, clearly having been taught a lesson by Yan Beiting earlier.
As Jono and Jin Chengyan listened to the truth spilling from Lu Ling's mouth, they each had their own thoughts.
She had finally cleared her name; this incident was not orchestrated by her, and she had been framed. Everything that Jin Chengyan had done was a misunderstanding of her!
But suddenly, Jono felt that the truth of the matter was not so important anymore.
Jin Chengyan had no place for Jono in his heart; knowing the truth would change nothing.
All it would do is make him feel sorry for having wronged Jono.
Jono's gaze shifted away from Jin Chengyan, her expression calm, which made Jin Chengyan feel as if he had committed some unforgivable sin.
And indeed, he had wronged Jono.
Perhaps he had never truly believed in her from the very beginning.
"Is the truth really that important?" Jono looked at the two men before her, feeling as if she had been completely drained of energy. After all, the Jin family believed she was someone who would stop at nothing to get a man.
She glanced once more at Lu Ling, who was kneeling on the ground, and walked over. "Tell me, who made you go to such lengths to harm two innocent girls?"
At that moment, Lu Ling felt an oppressive aura emanating from Jono that made it hard to breathe; it was terrifying.

On the ground, Lu Ling was terrified as the two powerful figures suddenly clashed, but fortunately, she was quickly taken away by Yan Beiting's subordinates.
"Jin Chengyan, why are you marrying Jono? I know you don't love her!"
Jin Chengyan did not resist; he allowed Yan Beiting to hold him down.
"Does it matter to you whether I love her or not? Are you in love with her?" Jin Chengyan's words struck a nerve with Yan Beiting.
Observing the expression on Yan Beiting's face, Jin Chengyan confirmed his suspicion.
"What if you really love Jono, Yan San? Then I won't let her go so easily. Perhaps I should make her fall in love with me, so you can experience what it's like to watch the one you love be with someone else."
These words undoubtedly fueled Yan Beiting's rage, and he punched the glass window behind Jin Chengyan.
Instantly, both of them could smell blood.
"If you don't love her, then don't torment her! She's innocent!" Yan Beiting felt pain for Jono; he didn't want her to become a victim of their entanglement.
"No one is ever innocent," Jin Chengyan pushed Yan Beiting's hand away and straightened his clothes.
At that moment, he appeared charming and aloof, detached from the situation.
Meanwhile, Yan Beiting was engulfed in endless worry, fearing for Jono's safety.
History always has a striking resemblance.
However, six years later, the identities of two people have swapped; Yan Beiting has become the one filled with worry.
Meanwhile, Jin Chengyan has taken on the role of Yan Beiting from that time, but the only difference is that Jin Chengyan carries a sense of vengeance.
"I will make sure you never win Jono's heart," Jin Chengyan said with a smile as he patted Yan Beiting on the shoulder, then stood tall and walked into Jin Mansion.

"Jono!" Jin Chengyan called out into the house, but no one responded.
Yet just moments ago, he had clearly seen Jono come in!
After searching the first floor without finding her, he went upstairs and finally spotted Jono sitting by the swimming pool on the balcony, dipping her feet into the water while lying on the ground, gazing at the stars above.
In truth, after hearing Lu Ling mention that someone had instigated him to act that way and that person was Ni Yue, Jin Chengyan felt a twinge of guilt wash over him.
He looked at Jono's expression; she appeared so calm.
If Yan Beiting hadn't been there at that moment, Jin Chengyan would have certainly seized Jono immediately.
He felt that what he had done yesterday was truly... terrible!
How could he have thought that such a method would ruin a girl's innocence?
Jin Chengyan rubbed his temples, unsure of how to face Jono.

Noticing someone approaching, Jono got up from the ground and looked up at Jin Chengyan as she sat there.
"If you're here to apologize, I won't accept it. I can't forgive someone who acts without thinking," Jono said casually.
From his elevated position, Jin Chengyan looked down at her. Sitting by the water, the sunlight reflected off the surface, casting a soft glow on her face. When she tilted her head back, he caught a glimpse of something beautiful peeking out from her collar.
Yet Jono's words were infuriating.
Even if he had made a mistake, did she have to be so unforgiving?
"I'm not planning to apologize, so don't get ahead of yourself," Jin Chengyan replied coldly, though his gaze remained fixed on her.
Jono seemed taken aback by his audacity, her expression twisting slightly. "I've never seen such a shameless man. You clearly did something wrong but refuse to apologize. Can't you show a little gentlemanly behavior?" Jono exclaimed as she stood up abruptly.
Water from the pool splashed onto Jin Chengyan's legs as she moved, likely on purpose.
She took two steps closer to him, closing the distance significantly.
“Jin Shao, what are you staring at?” She wasn’t blind; how could she not notice where Jin Chengyan’s gaze had just been!
Jin Chengyan was speechless; this woman!
“Don’t get angry!” Jono patted Jin Chengyan’s chest, calming him down. “You know that tomorrow your family will announce our marriage. As a possessive woman, I don’t want to see any rumors about you and other women, especially Ruan Shengyu! As long as I still have that marriage certificate with you, don’t even think about being with Ruan Shengyu!”
“Jono!” Jin Chengyan grabbed Jono’s hand. How dare she interfere in his affairs?
“You owe me!” Jono boldly stated, ignoring how tightly Jin Chengyan was gripping her hand. “I didn’t touch Ruan Shengyu, but you did touch me.”
Jin Chengyan felt a pang at her words.
But the next second, Jin Chengyan pulled Jono into his embrace. “Alright, I won’t spread rumors. So shouldn’t you fulfill a Wife's Duty?”
