Jono was too tired and fell asleep in her chair. When she woke up, she found a yellow envelope beside her.
She glanced down the empty corridor; there was no one around, and the envelope bore no signature. Even if it was meant to be handed over to the nurses' station, she should at least see what it contained...
Jono opened the envelope, and to her shock, the first document was from Qiao Real Estate Company. This was confidential information—how could it be so carelessly left here? Her nerves tightened as she looked again at the deserted hospital hallway. Who had brought this document?

"What are you doing at the hospital? Didn't I tell you to go home after school? I can take care of Dad," Jono said, noticing a bruise at the corner of Qiao Chen's mouth. "What happened to your face? Did you get into a fight?"
Jono sprang up from her chair. She knew her brother had been the family's treasure since birth; unlike Jono, he hadn't experienced the transition from a comfortable life to wealth.
Qiao Chen was a true young master, complete with all the spoiled attitudes that came with it. From school until now, he had caused countless troubles. Whenever Qiao Chen was too afraid to let their father handle things, he would turn to Jono for help at school.
In the past, Jono would patiently go to school and assure the teachers, but now, overwhelmed and exhausted, she simply didn't have the energy to deal with Qiao Chen's endless troubles.
Seeing Jono's expression made Qiao Chen unhappy as well. He declared, "I'm not going back to school! There's no point in studying anyway. I'm grown up now; I can earn money myself! I'll make the Qiao Family great again!"
Though Qiao Chen was only sixteen years old, he stood taller than Jono by two heads. Yet in his heart, he was still just a child.

She spoke earnestly, not expecting Qiao Chen to absorb everything she said, but he wasn't a clueless child; he should know what to do.
However, Qiao Chen replied, "You can't even afford Dad's surgery fees right now. What money do you have left for me to go to school? Those people mocked me, calling me a poor kid. I couldn't take it and ended up hitting them! But they, relying on their wealth and power, insisted that I apologize!"
Jono understood the reason behind Qiao Chen's reluctance to go back to school.
She softened her tone and held Qiao Chen's hand. "Xiao Chen, please listen to your sister. Go back to school. Once you have a diploma, one day you will definitely be able to restore our family to what it was before, but that won't happen now."
Qiao Chen looked at Jono; his stubborn nature eventually softened. He knew that with the family's bankruptcy, he was no longer the young master. His sister bore the entire burden; he couldn't add more trouble for her.
"Okay..." He lowered his head in agreement. "But the teacher wants you to come tomorrow..."
Upon hearing this, Jono couldn't help but laugh. This scene reminded her of when Qiao Chen had gotten into trouble before and secretly came to her university for help without telling their father.
Seeing his sister laugh made Qiao Chen smile as well.
This was the first smile they had shared since the bankruptcy, but only they knew the bittersweetness behind that smile.
