Wang Niu's words instantly puzzled Feng Ju. Although Feng Ju didn't know what Wang Niu was thinking, he still followed Wang Niu's instructions and quickly brought the Silver Mirror.
Wang Niu took the Silver Mirror in hand, and in an instant, a wisp of black mist appeared in Feng Ju's hand, emerging from the mirror. Wang Niu was momentarily stunned, unable to believe what he was witnessing. Then, Wang Niu blew gently at the black mist, which unexpectedly floated away. This immediately gave Wang Niu a sense that things were not simple.
"We need to follow it quickly!" Wang Niu hinted to Feng Ju. Feng Ju also noticed the black mist rising from Wang Niu's hand and realized that it seemed different. Without hesitation, Wang Niu followed it, transferring the black mist to his own hand. The black mist continued to lead them until they suddenly arrived at a very eerie place.
Wind Lord immediately sensed something was off. "Feng Ju, this seems to be a graveyard!"
Wang Niu frowned, feeling confused. It was indeed a graveyard, but there wasn't a trace of Yin Qi present, which left Wang Niu dumbfounded.
"Wang Jun, what's wrong?"
Wang Niu's deep frown made Feng Ju feel uneasy. Suddenly, as if something had occurred to him, Wang Niu said to Feng Ju, "This place isn't for the dead!"
Upon hearing this, Feng Ju was taken aback, unable to believe what Wang Niu had just said. Seeing the look of confusion on Feng Ju's face, Wang Niu crouched down and noticed a coffin beneath their feet. Using Divine Power, he opened the coffin and was shocked to find a small child hidden inside!
What was even more bizarre was that these children were alive and all female infants!
"What is going on?" Feng Ju exclaimed in disbelief, clearly startled by the scene before them. Meanwhile, Wang Niu seemed to understand something and urged Feng Ju, "You need to open the next one quickly!"
Wang Niu nodded as if realizing something else and said to Feng Ju, "Wang Jun, look!"
Then they saw another small child! After a while, they both witnessed the scene unfolding before them! This left Wang Niu stunned once again, unable to comprehend what he was seeing.
"How could these children be here?" Feng Ju looked at the infants with confusion. Wang Niu also appeared puzzled; how could so many children appear in this place? After some thought, Wang Niu seemed to grasp something and said to Feng Ju, "These children seem familiar; I feel like I've seen them somewhere before!"
Upon hearing this from Wang Niu, Feng Ju froze in disbelief and asked, "Wang Jun, you've seen them before?"
Wang Niu nodded seriously at Feng Ju. After a moment of contemplation, he seemed to have an epiphany and said to Feng Ju, "I know now; follow me!"
With that, Wang Niu led Feng Ju onward. "Look here; this is the village where things went wrong before. Nearby are several other villages that are very close to this one, right?"
Feng Ju nodded. Just as Wang Niu was about to speak again, Feng Ju seemed to realize something and asked him: "Are you suggesting that these children are from those villages?"
Wang Niu nodded in agreement and then instructed Feng Ju: "You go check those two villages while I investigate this one. We’ll split up; we’re sure to uncover something!"
Feng Ju nodded in understanding. Shortly after that, Wang Niu seemed to have another realization and warned Feng Ju: "Be careful when you get to those two villages; there might be hidden enemies lurking around!"
After saying this, they began their respective missions. In no time at all, Wang Niu felt compelled by an instinct and flew toward a nearby village! As soon as she arrived there, she sensed something amiss and immediately concealed herself. Just after she hid herself away, she spotted hidden dangers within the village!
Due to her unique identity, she could see those who were concealed! In the center of the village walked two figures that left her momentarily stunned; she hadn’t sensed anything just moments ago! But now that she was hidden and focused her energy together, she reacted swiftly!
"What is going on?" Wang Niu found herself momentarily dumbfounded as those Yin Persons approached the entrance of the village with what appeared to be a Doll in their hands—this Doll looked almost lifelike!
Suddenly their mouths widened as if they were sucking something out of thin air while drawing breath towards the villagers' houses. In an instant, the villagers appeared dazed and expressionless as they walked out into view before these Yin Persons.
At that moment, it became evident that the Dolls in their hands had turned pitch black and looked even more sinister! After a while, something appeared in the villagers' hands—though Wang Niu couldn't see clearly what it was—she sensed that whatever it was must have been significant since it made her heart race with unease; these villagers were running low on vitality!
As dawn broke slowly over the horizon and reached its peak intensity, those Yin Persons in the center of the village seemed aware of something and vanished without a trace. Following their lingering aura led Wang Niu back to where she had previously met up with Feng Ju.
Wang Niu furrowed her brow deeply! Soon after that, those Yin Persons entered a Tomb! At that moment, it seemed like she spotted Feng Ju too; as soon as he appeared before her eyes, she exclaimed: "Over here!"
Feng Ju also caught sight of Wang Niu at that same moment!
"What happened on your end?" Before Feng Ju could speak up first, Wang Niu took the initiative to ask him!
Feng Ju pondered for a moment before sharing his findings with Wang Niu! Upon hearing what Feng Ju had encountered, Wang Niu was taken aback: "How come what you experienced is exactly like mine?"
Feng Ju stared incredulously at Wang Niu: "Are you saying my experience is identical to yours?"
"Yes!"
At this point, Wang Niu pointed toward a Tomb nearby just as Feng Ju’s gaze followed suit toward it!
"I recognize that Tomb; those Yin Persons walked right into it!"
Wang Niu nodded in agreement with Feng Ju’s conclusion! After some time passed by and Feng Ju seemed to realize something else again; he suggested: "Why don’t we go take a look ourselves?"
Wang Niu hesitated slightly—not because he feared entering but because he wasn’t clear about what lay inside; if they rushed in blindly without preparation and encountered danger instead...that would be troublesome!
Then suddenly an idea struck him as he said: "Actually we could capture those Yin Persons first for questioning; this way we’d gain some insight into what’s inside there—reducing our risk significantly!"
Upon hearing this from Wang Niu,Feng Ju nodded in agreement: "That works too; however won’t these Yin Persons avoid coming out at this hour?"
Wang Niu affirmed: Of course they wouldn’t come out during daylight! But things would change come nightfall!
Before long night fell upon them; both Wang Niu and Feng Ju had concealed themselves in anticipation of those Yin Persons emerging! After waiting for some time without any sign of movement from them left both feeling puzzled—what could possibly be keeping these Yin Persons from showing up? Just then an ominous aura wafted through the air causing both of them heightened alertness!
"Wang Jun! It seems like those Yin Persons are finally here!"
Hearing this from Feng Ju prompted Wang Niu’s response: "Yes! Look over there!"
As they turned their attention toward two approaching figures—Yin Persons making their way toward the village—they appeared terrifyingly pale like Evil Spirits!
They positioned themselves right at the center of town just like before; suddenly sensing something amiss,Wang Niu told Feng Ju: "Look—they’ve brought out those Dolls again!"
Both turned their gazes toward them only to see one holding onto a Doll!
"What is that?" A wave of confusion washed over Feng Ju!
Wang Niu shook her head in uncertainty.
The Yin Persons began siphoning off energy from the villagers!
"Wang Jun—now’s our chance! Quickly subdue them!"
Nodding affirmatively,Wang Niu moved swiftly alongside Feng Ju as they set up traps while remaining unnoticed by these two Yin Persons—in an instant one of them fell captive!
"What are you doing here?!" The two captured Yin Persons wore expressions filled with shock upon seeing them appear suddenly!
Wang Niu quickly approached them seizing both by their jaws—dark mist began swirling around their forms!
"What is happening?" Feng Ju stood frozen—could these two really be ghosts? Otherwise why would dark fog envelop them?
"I-I beg you—please spare us!" The two Yin Persons began pleading for mercy!
Wang Niu regarded them coolly: "Speak up—if you dare deceive me I won’t hold back!"
As soon as she uttered these words,their Yin Qi diminished drastically leaving them trembling with fear!
"We belong to Black Gate!" Upon hearing this declaration,Wang Niu froze momentarily—Black Gate? What did that mean?
"Wha-what do you mean?" Both she and Feng Ju stared blankly at each other.
The Yin Persons exchanged glances revealing awkward smiles as they realized neither knew anything about it yet.
