"I understand now!" Wang Niu suddenly froze, then exclaimed in surprise, "You mean you've noticed something?" Feng Ju nodded and shared the observation he had just made with Wang Niu. Upon hearing this, Wang Niu frowned. "This won't do; it will only provoke her. However, we can wait a bit longer."
"Wait?" Feng Ju was somewhat confused. Wang Niu affirmed and began to explain further. "You should be aware of this!" Wang Niu looked at Feng Ju. Feng Ju nodded and replied, "I understand. Don't worry; I will keep a close watch over this village. But you need to be careful too; this is where she died!"
"Rest assured!" After saying that, Wang Niu left the area and returned to the small village. She wandered around the village and suddenly noticed a place where the black mist seemed particularly thick, which immediately alerted her.
Wang Niu walked towards that spot and was confronted by a swirling mass of black energy emerging from a large hole. She crouched down, finding the inside of the hole quite peculiar. As she reached out to touch the entrance, the black mist surged violently towards her!
"Oh my, this resentment has a consciousness!" Wang Niu muttered to herself. The resentment grew increasingly terrifying, wrapping around her hand. Feeling something strange, she attempted to disperse it, but even more bizarrely, the resentment did not dissipate; instead, it solidified in an instant!
"What is going on?" Wang Niu was left dumbfounded. Then she noticed a faint glimmer of light emanating from within the hole. Quickly, she reached her hand inside and felt an eerie aura radiating from that light. Suddenly realizing something, she prepared to extinguish it when a voice called out from behind her!
"Don't!" A woman's voice echoed as a wave of resentment surged towards Wang Niu at high speed. Before she could react, it struck her, causing her to fall to the ground! In that fleeting moment, Wang Niu sensed something and tried to get up but found herself ensnared by an unseen force, startling her. Turning around, she was shocked to see ghostly hands reaching for her!
"What is happening?" Wang Niu looked at the woman before her. The woman's expression was cold as she unleashed black mist towards Wang Niu, enveloping her instantly. At that moment, Wang Niu felt compelled to charge at the woman, but was tightly bound by the black mist. After a while, the mist slowly receded, igniting a surge of anger within Wang Niu—she couldn't believe how ruthless this woman was!
Wang Niu seemed to have an epiphany as she glanced back at the previous spot where there appeared to be no hole anymore. It dawned on her that the woman had cleverly shifted the entrance!
"You think I won't find you?" Wang Niu gazed ahead and noticed a strange disturbance in the air that made her heart skip a beat. Determined, she pressed forward!
At that moment, Wang Niu sensed something unusual nearby. "Could it be blood from that woman?" Following the trail on the ground, she continued onward until she stumbled upon a bizarre scene filled with numerous corpses!
"Where am I?" Wang Niu looked around in confusion. Just then, she heard faint cries of children echoing sorrowfully, freezing her heart in place—could it be that the woman had captured all those children?
Cautiously advancing deeper into the area, Wang Niu suddenly felt an overwhelming surge of popularity directed at her—it was unmistakably coming from the children! Moments later, she saw a group of children being dragged by the woman as if they were about to partake in some ritual!
"What is that?" She observed that all their limbs were bound as they were placed in a strange location where a coffin stood ominously among them. This sight left Wang Niu stunned; closing her eyes briefly allowed her to sense something unusual within that coffin—something akin to ghostly aura!
Could it be the child the woman had mentioned earlier? Suddenly it clicked for Wang Niu: the woman must want to resurrect her own child using these kids!
"This woman is truly ruthless!" Looking around for any sign of the woman and finding none, Wang Niu quietly approached the children. "Are you all okay?" After asking this question, silence fell upon them; their lack of response puzzled Wang Niu deeply.
"What happened to these children?" Just as she bent down to check on them, all at once they lifted their heads—Wang Niu gasped in shock as their eyes glowed red! She reached out instinctively to touch one child's head only to feel an overwhelming aura of death emanating from them—this left her in disbelief!
"This shouldn't be happening!" Wang Niu murmured under her breath when suddenly an odd presence emerged behind her! Turning around quickly revealed another strange woman standing there.
"Who are you?" Wang Niu asked flatly as she regarded this new figure.
The woman smiled slightly and said, "What? You don't recognize me after being with He Hua? My revival is tied to your actions!"
Wang Niu froze at this revelation—He Hua? Wasn't that the woman who had been killed by villagers? Noticing Wang Niu's silence, the woman continued: "That was the woman who died because of your village's actions. I know you're not ordinary; just don't interfere with our plans!"
Wang Niu glared at them disapprovingly—did they think they could do whatever they wanted?
"Heh heh, you're truly delusional!" With that remark, a sword appeared in Wang Niu's hand. The woman's expression shifted instantly into one of fear upon seeing it.
"You... who are you really?" Fear flickered across her face as if she'd begun piecing together Wang Niu's identity but hesitated to confirm it.
Wang Niu regarded her coolly: "If you wish to continue living, release these children immediately!"
"Release them? Impossible!" The woman flatly rejected.
"Very well; if that's how it is, I won't let you off easily!" With those words, Wang Niu lunged forward with her sword aimed directly at the woman!
The woman's face turned pale as she swiftly dodged out of harm's way! However, just as she thought she'd escaped danger halfway through her movement, unexpectedly, the sword lunged toward her again—this made her feel cornered.
"Hurry and get rid of that sword; I'll agree to your terms!" Panic spread across the woman's face.
Wang Niu grinned at this response: "Are you serious?"
The woman nodded vigorously in agreement!
Wang Niu put away her sword but remained unaware that after evading its strike, the woman vanished along with all those children!
"This is outrageous!" Realization hit Wang Niu hard—the woman had deceived her!
"This is truly unacceptable," anger surged within Wang Niu as she returned to the small village where Feng Ju happened to be sitting at its entrance.
"How did it go? Any findings?" Feng Ju approached Wang Niu eagerly.
Wang Niu shook her head: "I was played by those ghosts twice!"
Feng Ju was taken aback by this revelation: "If word gets out that you—the Heavenly Emperor—were fooled so many times..."
Before he could finish his sentence, he burst into laughter which made Wang Niu feel embarrassed.
"Alright enough laughing; it's not just one Wraith here but also a female ghost targeting children!"
"What did you say?" Feng Ju's eyes widened in disbelief!
His expression quickly turned serious as he realized he hadn't sensed anything amiss until now.
"These two ghosts might do something detrimental to our village!" said Wang Niu gravely.
Feng Ju pondered deeply for a moment before responding: "Then we need to be cautious."
"What should we do?" asked Feng Ju.
Wang Niu contemplated: "To capture both female ghosts effectively we must neutralize Yin Chai's power!"
"Yin Chai?" Feng Ju looked puzzled.
"Yes," confirmed Wang Niu. "Doing so will help prevent many unforeseen incidents!"
Feng Ju nodded thoughtfully before both seemed struck by inspiration and headed back into the village together.
After some time passed, Wang Niu suggested: "You should summon Yin Chai now!"
"Alright!" Feng Ju agreed and began calling forth Yin Chai; moments later numerous Yin Chai appeared before them.
"There are so many!" A wry smile crept onto Wang Niu's face!
"Heh heh! Now we can easily catch them!" After considering Feng Ju's words further convinced herself they were indeed reasonable and instructed him: "Let these Yin Chai guard each entrance of our village!"
Feng Ju nodded and promptly positioned those Yin Chai at various exits around their village.
Seeing this arrangement made Wang Niu take a deep breath before saying: "We need to leave here first; otherwise those two ghosts won't show themselves!"
"Leave?" Feng Ju questioned curiously.
"Yes," replied Wang Niu before whispering several instructions into his ear.
Feng Ju nodded thoughtfully in understanding!
While they discussed their plans not far away two Wraiths lurked closely observing them intently!
After some time passed by without incident between them both departed together!
Once they left however those two Wraiths emerged from hiding following closely behind their every move!
Instead of continuing on foot however they returned skyward!
"Look!" exclaimed Wang Niu pulling out a celestial mirror revealing its contents for Feng Ju’s view.
Naturally Feng Ju noticed what unfolded within its reflection—the two Wraiths emerged from concealment heading straight toward their small village!
