Wang Niu's face turned ashen at once, a sense of foreboding spreading through his heart. He inhaled deeply, and at that moment, the Ghost Gate Sect Master appeared before them.
Wang Niu's heart trembled. The Ghost Gate Sect Master wore a strange smile on his face.
"Did you think you could escape from here?" the Ghost Gate Sect Master said coldly to Wang Niu.
Wang Niu tried to speak while thinking of a way out. The Ghost Gate Sect Master's gaze remained fixed on him. Seeing this, Xiaomei discreetly unleashed her Divine Power against the Ghost Gate Sect Master. Just as her Divine Power was about to strike him, the Ghost Gate Sect Master narrowly avoided it. At that moment, Xiaomei felt a chill rush toward her.
She shivered all over and had no time to evade before the Ghost Gate Sect Master's large hand seized her by the throat.
The overwhelming sensation of suffocation turned Xiaomei's face pale instantly. The Ghost Gate Sect Master lifted her high into the air, and in that moment, she felt as if she were about to die.
Wang Niu grew anxious; he wanted to approach the Ghost Gate Sect Master but was struck down instead.
Wang Niu fell to the ground, completely unable to retaliate.
After a while, the Ghost Gate Sect Master threw Xiaomei down. She coughed up a significant amount of Black Blood, which quickly stained the area red. Xiaomei let out a cry of pain, while Wang Niu felt an unbearable ache in his heart, as if it were being twisted.
"Don't touch her!" Wang Niu shouted at the Ghost Gate Sect Master.
The Ghost Gate Sect Master's gaze turned toward Wang Niu as he slowly approached him. Wang Niu sensed the murderous intent radiating from the sect master.
Wang Niu felt a sense of unease creeping into his heart. Sure enough, the next moment, he saw a mass of black mist appear in the hands of the Ghost Gate Sect Master. This mist made Wang Niu's heart skip a beat. In an instant, the black mist struck him, and he felt as if his body was shattering into pieces.
He took a deep breath, but the intense pain coursing through him overwhelmed him. Wang Niu was in agony, yet he maintained a facade of endurance; he couldn't let the Ghost Gate Sect Master see his suffering.
Wang Niu exhaled deeply. At that moment, the Ghost Gate Sect Master stepped forward and brutally stomped on Wang Niu's hand. A piercing pain surged through him, making Wang Niu feel as if his strength was being gradually siphoned away.
Wang Niu inhaled sharply, trying to hold onto his abilities. Just then, a sword appeared in the Ghost Gate Sect Master's hand and plunged into Wang Niu's body. He trembled violently as blood gushed from him—black blood that quickly transformed into wisps of black mist, which flowed directly into the Ghost Gate Sect Master's body. The sect master continuously absorbed this mist, and Wang Niu watched in horror as the Ghost Gate Sect Master began to swell larger and larger. The thought that if this continued, it would lead to endless trouble filled Wang Niu with dread.
Suddenly, an idea struck him. He secretly infused a trace of celestial energy into the Ghost Gate Sect Master.
He knew that this celestial energy could lead to the sect master's demise.
Indeed, the Ghost Gate Sect Master showed no awareness of what was happening and rapidly inhaled the celestial energy. In an instant, he sensed something was wrong; his face changed dramatically before he collapsed to the ground, seemingly still growing.

If he wanted to reclaim his energy, now was the time to absorb what would be released when the Ghost Gate Sect Master exploded. Suddenly, a massive wave of energy surged toward Wang Niu, causing an overwhelming transformation within him. At that moment, the Ghost Gate Sect Master's body erupted violently. Instantly, familiar energy spread out around them. Wang Niu quickly absorbed this energy; with it, he felt his own strength gradually returning while the pain began to dissipate.
Wang Niu took another deep breath; his energy had returned.
He rushed over to Xiaomei and lifted her into his arms. Her face appeared even paler than before, sending waves of panic through Wang Niu's heart.
“Xiaomei!” he called out anxiously, but she did not respond; she seemed as if she were asleep. Just then, Xiaomei opened her eyes. In an instant, her face contorted in pain, and Wang Niu felt an indescribable sensation welling up inside him.
“Heavenly Emperor,” she gasped weakly, “I... I feel so unwell.”
Suddenly, Xiaomei's face turned pale. At that moment, Wang Niu seemed to realize something and immediately transferred a large amount of energy to Xiaomei. After receiving the energy, Xiaomei's complexion gradually improved.
“Xiaomei, are you okay?” Wang Niu asked nervously. Although he had just given her a lot of energy, he could still see that her color was not good.
Xiaomei shook her head and replied, “Heavenly Emperor, don’t worry, I’m fine.”
As soon as Xiaomei finished speaking, Wang Niu seemed to sense something. A wave rippled through the air, as if a door to another space had been opened.
Then, they saw the child appear before them, and both Wang Niu and Xiaomei were momentarily stunned.

Xiaomei was taken aback. The atmosphere around them was filled with a sense of dread that made her heart tremble. Previously, Wang Niu had expended a lot of energy; this situation might be too much for him to bear.
“Heavenly Emperor, let me handle these creatures,” Xiaomei said firmly as she handed the child over to Wang Niu and charged forward, using Dark Light to eliminate the threats.
However, Xiaomei had underestimated the situation. The energy she possessed was insufficient to sustain her efforts. Before long, she coughed up blood.
Wang Niu was startled. “Why is Xiaomei coughing up blood again?” He immediately set the child down and rushed to Xiaomei’s side, transferring more energy to her. In an instant, a brilliant light erupted from her body. At that moment, the surrounding creatures went wild, lunging toward them. Wang Niu and Xiaomei were left dumbfounded; if these creatures attacked them, they would be in grave danger. Just then, the child unexpectedly emitted a burst of light that enveloped both Ruoxi and Xiaomei.
Xiaomei took a deep breath and said to Wang Niu, “Heavenly Emperor, we don’t need to worry anymore because this light will deal with those creatures.”
Wang Niu watched as the surrounding entities were rapidly absorbed by the light. He took a deep breath, astonished by what he saw. He looked at Xiaomei, who also wore an expression of disbelief. In no time at all, those creatures were completely absorbed by the child’s light. Suddenly, the child transformed dramatically and grew taller, resembling an adult.
Xiaomei gasped in shock, staring at the child in disbelief.
The child took a deep breath and walked toward them. Wang Niu’s attention remained fixed on the child as he asked, “What’s happening? How do you have Dark Light?”
The child was startled by Wang Niu's words, looking at him in disbelief. "Heavenly Emperor Uncle, did you just say this is Heavenly Emperor's Light?"
Hearing the child's words, Wang Niu felt even more puzzled. Could it be that the child didn't know this was Heavenly Emperor's Light?
Then the child turned to Wang Niu and said, "I don't know how this happened either; I already had something like this in my hand."
The child's statement deepened Wang Niu's confusion.
Xiaomei seemed to have thought of something and said to Wang Niu, "I know what’s going on; this must be Feng Ju who gave it to the child."
Standing next to them, the child seemed to have heard something and said to Xiaomei, "Mother, Daddy had given me energy before."

After the three of them arrived at a safe place and sat down for a while, the child suddenly noticed something and asked Xiaomei, "Mother, what about Daddy? And the Queen of Heaven?"
As soon as these words were spoken, both Wang Niu and Xiaomei became somber. The child looked at their expressions and seemed to understand something. He shook his head and said, "Heavenly Emperor Uncle, Mother, don’t be sad. I won’t ask anymore."
Wang Niu looked at the child and reassured him, "We’re not blaming you; it’s just that this matter has troubled us a bit. You don’t need to worry; we will rescue your Daddy and the Queen of Heaven as well."
Xiaomei nodded in agreement.
Seeing Xiaomei and Wang Niu's worried faces made the child feel uneasy too. He said to them, "I know a way to save them."
Wang Niu and Xiaomei were momentarily stunned after hearing the child's words, unable to believe how the child could possibly know.
"How do you know that?" Wang Niu asked the child.
A smile appeared on the child's face as they replied, "Before, I was trapped by the Ghost Gate Sect Master in that place. One day, the Ghost Gate Sect Master suddenly brought a child."
Upon hearing this, Wang Niu seemed to understand something and asked the child, "What do you mean? What kind of child?"
Seeing Wang Niu's astonishment, the child continued, "I heard the Ghost Gate Sect Master say that the child was some kind of Ghost Child, and he even called that child 'boss.'"
"What did you say?" Wang Niu became unsettled. Wasn't this Ghost Child the one that had emerged before?
"Heavenly Emperor, I understand now," Xiaomei suddenly recalled. Wasn't Wang Niu reincarnated because of this Ghost Child?
Wang Niu looked at Xiaomei, who was also looking back at him. Taking a deep breath, Wang Niu said to Xiaomei, "It seems we need to eliminate this Ghost Child. Only then can we restore our peace."

Xiaomei felt increasingly anxious. If that Ghost Child was indeed powerful, they stood little chance.

They arrived at a small town bustling with people. This made Wang Niu somewhat uneasy; if they caused trouble for these innocent people, it would be disastrous. Taking a deep breath, he said to Xiaomei, "This might get a bit complicated."

They found a place to stay, and by evening, Xiaomei and Wang Niu decided to follow the child's instructions. They told the child, "You stay here; we will lure in the Ghost Child."
The child nodded, and soon after, the two of them left the room and stepped out onto the street. At that moment, the street was completely deserted. Wang Niu glanced around and noticed the chilling atmosphere, which made him feel anxious. Just then, he heard a strange sound that made him shiver. Realizing what it might be, he said to Xiaomei, "It seems like the Ghost Child has arrived; we need to set everything up quickly."
Xiaomei paused for a moment but immediately coordinated with Wang Niu. After a while, she seemed to sense something and said to Wang Niu, "Heavenly Emperor, there’s someone else besides the Ghost Child."
Upon hearing Xiaomei's words, Wang Niu replied, "I know."
With that, Wang Niu moved even faster, and in an instant, the area was filled with items and toys meant for the dead.
Wang Niu looked around and saw that everything appeared normal again; his heart began to settle. He then focused his gaze ahead, where a dark mist was forming. The mist rapidly approached them, and at that moment, Wang Niu's heart skipped a beat as he warned Xiaomei, "Be careful; that thing is coming."
As soon as he finished speaking, Xiaomei saw two wisps of smoke appear before them. Two oddly-shaped children emerged from the mist. Xiaomei's heart raced in fear as these strange-looking children stepped right in front of them.
"Are you the owners of these stalls?" one of them asked.
Wang Niu and Xiaomei felt a surge of tension and nodded in response. "Yes, we are the owners of this stall."
Upon hearing this, the two children exchanged glances filled with an eerie expression that sent chills down Xiaomei's spine.
She discreetly signaled Wang Niu about her unease, and he too noticed the children's odd behavior as he pondered their next move.
Before them stood the Ghost Child.
The Ghost Child was entirely focused on the items at their stall, seemingly fascinated by them as it picked through various objects. Just then, Wang Niu sensed something unusual and used Emperor's Light to bind the Ghost Child within its grasp.
In an instant, the Ghost Child let out a deafening scream. Wang Niu took a deep breath and then said to Xiaomei, "You keep an eye on this Ghost Child while I deal with the Demon."
As soon as the words left his mouth, Wang Niu noticed the group of black-clad figures surrounding them. In reality, these figures were all ghosts.
Wang Niu took a deep breath and unleashed the Emperor's Light against these entities. It seemed as if they sensed Wang Niu's power and immediately vanished.
This startled Wang Niu; he did not believe that those beings had simply disappeared. To his surprise, in an instant, they reappeared, their black mist growing thicker and more ominous. This made Wang Niu uneasy. Sure enough, the dark fog enveloped them completely. Xiaomei took a deep breath, and at that moment, Wang Niu realized that his surroundings had changed.
"What is happening?" Wang Niu muttered to himself.
Everything around him had transformed. Wang Niu cautiously observed his surroundings, and just as he turned to look beside him, a black hand reached out and seized him. The grip was so tight that it left him gasping for breath. At that moment, another black hand grabbed hold of his body.
Wang Niu found himself unable to move. He frowned at these entities when suddenly he felt a chill run down his spine. He whipped around to see a massive Snowman looming behind him, raising its fist to strike.
Wang Niu's heart raced, and he quickly flew away just as the Snowman swung its fist but missed. However, the Snowman was not one to give up easily; its body instantly transformed into snowflakes and in the blink of an eye, it tightly bound him once more. Wang Niu took a deep breath and summoned all his strength to push the Snowman away. Yet, he underestimated the situation; all the power he had exerted was swiftly consumed by the Snowman.
