If Judge had remained silent, it would have been better; but once he spoke, it only made Feng Ju even more furious.
"You, how can you still say that? Do you know how much you’ve harmed it by making that change?" Feng Ju pointed at the Ghost Child standing nearby.
Upon hearing Judge's words, Ghost Child immediately burst into tears. If it weren't for Judge swapping its fate, perhaps it could have had a happy home.
"I'm sorry, King Yan. Please forgive me; I didn't mean to," Judge trembled as he spoke.
Looking at Judge in front of him, Feng Ju wore a cold smile. "Forgive you? I think you're being naive."
As soon as Judge heard Feng Ju's words, he felt a chill run down his spine, and his tone became even more fearful. "King Yan, what must I do for you to let me go?"
Feng Ju stepped closer to Judge, lifting his chin and saying, "Tell me, who did you transfer its fate to? And who is your Godson?"
Hastily, Judge replied, "King Yan, speaking of my Godson, it's actually because of my own foolishness."
Upon hearing this, Feng Ju immediately guessed something and unleashed a Black Light at Judge. The light struck him directly, causing Judge to let out a miserable cry, though he dared not say anything further.
The anger on Feng Ju's face seemed to dissipate somewhat as he said to Judge, "Continue."
Judge pouted and continued, "The story goes like this: I went into the Black Valley for some training. You know about that too, King Yan."
At this point, Feng Ju nodded in acknowledgment. After glancing at him, Judge continued, "In the Black Valley, there were many evil creatures. While I was training, I accidentally got injured. Just when I was about to be harmed by those creatures, my Godson appeared and helped me. You could say he saved my life; after that, I became his godfather."
With a light chuckle, Feng Ju remarked, "So you gained quite a bit from that experience."
Feeling awkward at the comment, Judge smiled sheepishly. He indeed received many benefits; otherwise, why would he continue doing things for his Godson?
Of course, these were things that Judge would never admit.
"This Godson has been quite good to me. I can't just take advantage of his kindness without doing anything in return. One day, he suddenly told me he wanted to be reincarnated. I felt a bit troubled because, according to the rules, he wasn't qualified for reincarnation. But seeing how pitiful he looked, I agreed to help him."
"So, you chose to harm others, didn't you?" Feng Ju said coldly.
Judge's face flushed as he continued, "Yama, you know that spirits like him are not eligible for reincarnation. I found someone with similar conditions and used his chance to replace him. At this point, Judge stopped speaking, and both Feng Ju and I understood what had transpired.
"Yama, can you spare me?" Judge pleaded with increasing fear as Feng Ju remained silent.
Upon hearing this, Feng Ju turned to me and asked, "Wang Jun, what do you think?"
I glanced at Judge and pondered for a moment before asking him, "Which family was your Godson reincarnated into?"
Judge revealed the information to us.
Exchanging glances with Judge, we silently agreed to eliminate him.
"Wang Jun, what should we do now?" Feng Ju said lightly.
I looked at Ghost Child, who met my gaze at that moment. I asked him, "Do you still harbor any hatred?"
Ghost Child nodded earnestly and replied, "That woman has no idea that she has taken countless lives. Even if I don't kill her, I want her to understand her wrongdoings."
After considering this, I nodded at Ghost Child and said, "We'll go with you. Then we'll work on reversing your fate."
Ghost Child was taken aback, looking at us in disbelief. "Master, are you saying that I can continue living?"
I let out a sigh, and the Ghost Child seemed very pleased. Soon, we arrived at a narrow alley.
The alley had a desolate feeling to it, and the Ghost Child pointed inside and said, "Master, if you go further in, that's where the woman lives."
I glanced inside and continued to follow the Ghost Child.
Feng Ju trailed behind us, and before long, the Ghost Child stopped in front of a house.
As we approached, we heard the sounds of a man and a woman in the throes of passion, which made both Feng Ju and me feel somewhat awkward.
"This is it. Just listen to those sounds, and you'll know what kind of woman she is—only seeking her own pleasure without regard for other lives," a flicker of anger flashed in the Ghost Child's eyes.
Feng Ju and I exchanged glances with the Ghost Child before turning our attention to the house.
We walked inside, and as we moved deeper in, the sounds grew louder.
"This woman has really gone too far," Feng Ju said with disgust.
I frowned slightly; this woman was indeed quite repulsive.
"Look, that woman is right there with a man," the Ghost Child pointed at two shadows cast on the window.
"You go ahead, but remember to make yourself look scarier," Feng Ju instructed the Ghost Child.
Upon hearing Feng Ju's words, the Ghost Child froze for a moment before immediately transforming into a frightening appearance. When the Ghost Child turned to look at Feng Ju and me, we were nearly scared to death by its new form.
"What are you doing? Why do you have to look so terrifying?" Feng Ju complained.
I couldn't help but laugh; it was he who had asked the Ghost Child to change its appearance like this, yet now he was criticizing it.
The Ghost Child looked aggrieved and had no choice but to make itself look somewhat more presentable.
Only then was Feng Ju satisfied and nodded. After that, the Ghost Child directly passed through the wall into the woman's house.
"How do you think this will turn out?" I asked Feng Ju.
Feng Ju glanced at the house in front of us and said, "Is there any need to guess? The way the Ghost Child looked is already quite scary; it will definitely frighten someone to death."
Just as Feng Ju finished speaking, we heard two mournful cries coming from inside.
Both Feng Ju and I were stunned. What was happening?
Suddenly, a naked man burst out, his face filled with terror.
"Ah! There's a ghost!"
After that, the man vanished before our eyes. Not long after he left, a woman ran out, her face also showing signs of fear.
The Ghost Child appeared as well, flying directly in front of the woman.
Upon seeing the Ghost Child, the woman nearly fainted and collapsed to the ground, repeatedly pleading, "Please don't harm me; I have no enmity with you."
Hearing her words, the Ghost Child replied, "How can you say that? Let me ask you, have you had three pregnancies?"
The woman froze for a moment at the Ghost Child's question. "Y-you... how do you know?"
The Ghost Child slowly approached her. "How do you think I know? I am one of the children you discarded. Why won't you take responsibility?"
"W-what are you saying? You are one of my lost children?" The woman's face turned pale instantly.
"Yes, a woman like you has no right to be pregnant," the Ghost Child scolded her.
The woman began to tremble uncontrollably, unable to meet the Ghost Child's gaze. Noticing her silence, the Ghost Child let out a cold laugh. At that moment, dark energy suddenly erupted from the Ghost Child's body. Feng Ju was taken aback and said to me, "What happened to this Ghost Child?"
"This is all the resentment within him being released. It means that the Ghost Child has transformed into a pure spirit, which indicates that his future reincarnations will become smoother."
"Is that so? Since what we need to do has been settled last night, let's go," said Feng Ju, glancing at Ghost Child, who understood immediately as their eyes met.
Just as Ghost Child was about to follow us, a voice suddenly came from behind— it was a woman's voice.
"Child."
Upon hearing this voice, we paused. Ghost Child turned to look back and saw a hint of guilt and regret on the woman's face.
"What are you doing?" Ghost Child asked calmly, gazing at the woman.
