After resolving the matter, I returned to the Underworld with Feng Ju. At that moment, Ruoxi was busy with Xiaomei.
Feng Ju and I walked over to them.
"Hey, you're back!" Xiaomei was the first to notice us.
Upon hearing Xiaomei's voice, Ruoxi looked up and smiled gently, saying, "Have you finished what you were doing?"
Feng Ju and I nodded.
Seeing this, Ruoxi stood up and walked to the side. After a moment, she returned with two pieces of clothing in her hands and handed one to me and the other to Feng Ju.
"This is what Xiaomei and I made for you. Try it on," Ruoxi said.
Feng Ju and I were a bit surprised as we accepted the clothes. I looked at mine and exclaimed, "It looks really nice!"
Ruoxi nodded in agreement, saying, "Of course! Xiaomei and I put a lot of effort into making these stitch by stitch."
Hearing Ruoxi's words made my heart swell with excitement. "Ruoxi, you're amazing!"
Ruoxi smiled and urged me to change into it quickly.
I responded with a quick "Okay" and immediately put on the outfit.
"It looks great on you, Wang Jun," Feng Ju said, admiringly.
I smiled back and replied, "It really is quite nice."
Seeing this, Feng Ju quickly put on her clothes. Although the styles of the two outfits were quite nice, they gave off entirely different vibes when worn by me and Feng Ju.
"Feng Ju, Wang, what do you think?" Xiaomei said with an appreciative look as she approached us.
"Of course it looks good!" I replied happily.
"Yes, you've worked hard," Feng Ju said, glancing at Xiaomei.
"It's no trouble at all."
Afterward, we continued to explore the Underworld. The next day, Ruoxi and I returned to the heavens.
At that moment, Flower Spirit walked over with a troubled expression on her face. I glanced at Ruoxi before focusing my attention on Flower Spirit. "What's wrong? Have you encountered some difficulties?"
Upon hearing my words, Flower Spirit nodded and said, "Heavenly Emperor, it's like this. You asked me to manage the flowers under your reign, but in these past few days, I've discovered something alarming: all the Flower Fairies in the mortal realm have been harmed."
I furrowed my brow immediately and asked Flower Spirit, "What did you say? All the Flower Fairies have been harmed?"
Seeing my expression, Flower Spirit's face also turned serious. She nodded and said, "Yes. Once these Flower Fairies are harmed, the entire mortal realm will lose its vibrant colors. Right now, the world has fallen into a dull gray."
After hearing Flower Spirit's words, I quickly rolled up my sleeves and began to check on the mortal realm. To my dismay, it was indeed as Flower Spirit had said; there were no flowers anywhere. This simply couldn't be allowed.
"Flower Spirit, come with me to the mortal realm right away to investigate," I said, my tone turning grave.
Flower Spirit nodded immediately in response.
"Wang Jun, are you all going to be busy again?" Ruoxi looked at me with a helpless expression.
Upon seeing Ruoxi's gaze, I felt a sudden pang in my heart. I nodded at her and said, "Yes, but don't worry. Once I finish this task, I will definitely spend some quality time with you."
Ruoxi could only nod in understanding.
"Wang Jun, please be careful," Ruoxi instructed.
After I assured her with a simple "Okay," I followed Flower Spirit to the human realm.
As soon as we landed, I noticed Flower Spirit looking at me with envy, which puzzled me. I cautiously asked her what was wrong.
"Your relationship with the Queen is really good, Heavenly Emperor," Flower Spirit remarked.
"Yes, it is quite good. Have you looked into this matter before?"
Flower Spirit nodded and pointed ahead. "Heavenly Emperor, look here; this is where the incident occurred."
I followed Flower Spirit's finger and saw that the area was filled with wilted flowers. Not only that, but there was also a disgusting puddle of slime on the ground.
"What is this?" I approached the slime on the ground.
Flower Spirit followed my gaze and said, "Heavenly Emperor, I think this is evidence left by the culprit. This substance resembles some kind of monster's blood; it must have harmed the Flower Fairy in the human realm."
I pondered for a moment and then looked at Flower Spirit. "Where do you think the culprit might be?"
"Flower Spirit," said, "Heavenly Emperor, I started investigating as soon as the incident occurred. The aura from this Demon Form has a strong scent of pollen, but after I followed it to a certain location, it disappeared."
A hint of confusion appeared on Flower Spirit's face. I looked at Flower Spirit curiously and asked, "What location?"
Flower Spirit replied, "It seems to be the Red Lotus Pavilion in the human realm."
"Red Lotus Pavilion? Are you saying the culprit is at the Red Lotus Pavilion?" I frowned. If that's the case, it would be quite troublesome, considering the overwhelming scent of pollen inside the Red Lotus Pavilion; one could smell it as soon as they entered.
Flower Spirit nodded seriously. After a moment of thought, I said, "In that case, let's go to the Red Lotus Pavilion and see what's going on."
Flower Spirit hesitated and said, "Heavenly Emperor, but I'm a female. It seems that women aren't allowed in the Red Lotus Pavilion."
I paused for a moment and replied, "Can't you just transform into a male?"
Flower Spirit's eyes lit up with understanding as she said, "You're right, Heavenly Emperor! I'll do as you suggest."
As soon as Flower Spirit finished speaking, I watched as she transformed into a man.
"Heavenly Emperor, how does this look?" Flower Spirit asked awkwardly.
I examined Flower Spirit's new appearance and nodded in approval. "It's fine. Let's go."
Flower Spirit nodded and led me to the Red Lotus Pavilion.
I scanned the surrounding aura and noticed nothing unusual. Could it be that the culprit is exceptionally skilled?
"Heavenly Emperor," Flower Spirit called out to me.
I nodded and turned to look at her. She pointed towards the interior of the Red Lotus Pavilion and exclaimed, "Heavenly Emperor, look! There's demonic energy!"
I glanced back, and in just a few seconds, I caught a glimpse of a dark shadow flashing by.
Surprised, I turned to Flower Spirit and said, "We need to hurry inside; the murderer must still be in the Red Lotus Pavilion."
Upon hearing this, Flower Spirit nodded in agreement and replied, "Okay."
As soon as we stepped inside, a middle-aged woman emerged, looking rather strange. She was likely the Flower Mother here.
"You two gentlemen seem unfamiliar; is this your first visit?" the Flower Mother asked us with a greasy expression.
I took a sharp breath; this Flower Mother looked genuinely intimidating.
I replied, "Bring out your best girls and those currently entertaining guests." There was a reason behind my request.
The Flower Mother froze for a moment at my words and asked, "Are you two joking?"
I understood her hesitation; after all, she wouldn't act without seeing money.
I exchanged a glance with Flower Spirit, who immediately understood. He pulled out a bag of gold, and as soon as it opened, it radiated countless glimmers of light. Upon seeing this, the Flower Mother's eyes lit up instantly, and she smiled broadly at us. "This is no joke; I'll bring them out for you right away!"
While speaking, the Flower Mother's gaze intentionally lingered on the bag of gold in Flower Spirit's hand.
"Give it to her," I instructed Flower Spirit.
Flower Spirit nodded and handed the bag of gold to the Flower Mother. Immediately, she clutched it possessively and beamed as she hurried off to summon all the girls for us.
At that moment, I turned to Flower Spirit and said, "Make sure to check every room here later, understood?"
"Flower Spirit" nodded and said she understood.
After a while, "Flower Mother" led all the young women to stand in front of me, and her attitude towards me was very pleasant.
"Oh dear, young master, I've brought the girls here. I wonder which one has caught your eye?"
I glanced over the young women; they looked decent enough, so I casually pointed out a few. Seeing this, "Flower Mother" became even more delighted.
"Let them go," I said lightly.
With a beaming smile, "Flower Mother" replied, "Alright, I'll have them leave right away. Young master, have you made your selection? Why not choose a few more?"
Hearing this, I nearly choked on my tea and said, "Are you trying to get me killed by them?"
Upon hearing my words, "Flower Mother" froze for a moment before awkwardly laughing and saying, "Hehe, well then! Alright, you girls take good care of this young master, understand?"
She turned to the few young women I had chosen and instructed them. They nodded in response and said, "Got it, don't worry, 'Flower Mother.'"
"That's good. Now take this young master to a room and attend to him," "Flower Mother" directed them.
"Yes, 'Flower Mother.'"
With that, the young women led me into a room. As soon as the door closed behind us, they immediately rushed towards me.
I changed my expression instantly and used my magical powers to hold them back.
I sat down at the side and sipped the tea on the table. These women were too overwhelming; they couldn't compare to "Ruoxi."
After a long while, "Flower Spirit" finally appeared before me. Seeing her gloomy expression made me think of what was to come.
"Did you not find anything?" I asked the Flower Spirit.
The Flower Spirit nodded at me and said, "Yes, it's strange that there is no trace of the murderer in this Red Lotus Pavilion."
Seeing the worried expression on the Flower Spirit's face, I comforted her, "Don't worry. Can you sense the murderer’s presence here?"
The Flower Spirit paused for a moment and replied, "Heavenly Emperor, let me try."
I nodded, and the Flower Spirit began to use her Flower Summoning Technique.
The Flower Summoning Technique allows her to summon every Flower Fairy in the world and also sense their unique auras.
After a long while, the Flower Spirit showed no reaction. I noticed a look of pain on her face, and soon beads of sweat began to form on her forehead.
"Are you okay?" I asked with concern.
"I'm fine."
After a moment, the Flower Spirit finally stopped her Flower Summoning Technique. "Heavenly Emperor, just now when I used this technique to check for the murderer’s aura, I discovered something very strange."
"What is it?"
"Heavenly Emperor, it seems that this murderer is quite cunning. At first, I couldn't sense anything at all, but after a while, I did pick up on the murderer’s aura," the Flower Spirit said with a frustrated expression.
I thought for a moment and then said to the Flower Spirit, "So what you mean is that the murderer is still here, right?"
The Flower Spirit nodded and confirmed, "Yes, Heavenly Emperor."
I hummed in response and said to the Flower Spirit, "Go call the Flower Mother over."
The Flower Spirit nodded and stepped outside. I then released the women who had been restrained, and they looked at each other in confusion before turning their gazes toward me.
"Young Master," one of them spoke.
Before they could approach, I immediately dismissed them. "You all should leave first."
The women froze at my words, seemingly questioning each other about what was happening.
I tossed a bag of shadows toward them. Upon seeing it, they scrambled for it and quickly exited the room.
After a while, the Flower Mother walked in. Upon noticing that there were no young women in my room, she was taken aback.
"Young Master, are you dissatisfied with our girls?" the Flower Mother asked me.
I shook my head. "No, I have something good I want to discuss with you. I wonder if you would be willing."
Hearing my words, the Flower Mother's eyes lit up as she hurried to my side. At that moment, I suddenly caught a strange scent in the air.
I couldn't help but furrow my brows; the smell felt oddly familiar.
"Is something wrong, Young Master?" the Flower Mother asked when she noticed my silence.
I frowned again and turned my gaze back to her. "It's nothing; I just feel like there's a strange smell here."
"Flower Mother" changed her expression upon hearing this, as if she recalled something, and said to me, "Strange smell, did the young master perhaps mishear?"
I shook my head, and "Flower Mother" shifted the topic, saying, "Earlier, you mentioned there was something good you wanted to discuss with me. I wonder what that good thing is."
It was then that I remembered and said to "Flower Mother," "I would like to stay here for a while. I hope it's convenient for you."
After speaking, I took out a bag of silver from my pocket.
Upon seeing it, "Flower Mother's" eyes widened, fixated on the bag in my hand.
Noticing her silence, I asked, "Does 'Flower Mother' disagree?"
Hearing my words, "Flower Mother" immediately shook her head and said, "It's fine. If the young master wants to stay for a few days, then please do."
After that, I handed the silver to "Flower Mother."
"Thank you, young master," she said with a joyful expression as she took the shadow and walked out.
Once she left, "Flower Spirit" appeared.
"Heavenly Emperor, I sense something is off. There’s a strange smell coming from 'Flower Mother.'"
I looked at "Flower Spirit" and said, "Did you notice that it smells just like the blood left at the scene?"
"Flower Spirit" nodded in agreement.
I couldn't help but wonder if the Flower Mother had any connection to the murderer.
"Keep an eye on the Flower Mother," I instructed the Flower Spirit.
After receiving my command, the Flower Spirit went off to follow the Flower Mother. Once the Flower Spirit was on its way, I stepped out of the room. As soon as I exited, I saw many men enjoying themselves with the girls here.
I wandered from room to room but found nothing of interest. Just as I was heading downstairs, I noticed a suspicious figure making their way toward the backyard of the Red Lotus Pavilion. I quickly followed them.
The backyard was cluttered with various items, and as I entered, the person had already vanished from sight.
At that moment, I heard strange sounds coming from somewhere. Following the noise, I was shocked to discover several Flower Fairies trapped in cages.
"Help us!" The Flower Fairies cried out for rescue upon seeing me.
I glanced around and, seeing no one else present, decided to free them from their confinement.
Finding a safer spot, I released the Flower Fairies.
"What’s going on? I heard from the Flower God that you all had been killed," I said in confusion.
"No, Heavenly Emperor," one of the Flower Fairies replied. "This is just a scheme by that snake demon."
"The one capturing you is a snake demon?" I asked.
The Flower Fairy nodded in response. "Yes, it's indeed the snake demon. This Red Lotus Pavilion is not what it seems."
As soon as I heard that, a strange feeling washed over me. I turned to ask the Flower Fairies what was going on, but suddenly they collapsed to the ground. The sight nearly startled me. Just as I was about to help them up, they vanished right before my eyes.
"What is happening?" I stared at the disappearing Flower Fairies, utterly confused.
I quickly summoned the Flower Spirit. Within moments, the Flower Spirit appeared before me. "Heavenly Emperor, is there something you need?"
I nodded and first inquired about the situation of the Flower Mother. The Flower Spirit replied, "Heavenly Emperor, the Flower Mother seems fine; she is just handling some matters and receiving guests in the Red Lotus Pavilion."
After hearing this, I nodded and asked, "Is there anything else?"
The Flower Spirit shook her head. I paused for a moment and asked her, "Do you know if those Flower Fairies are still alive?"
Upon hearing my question, the Flower Spirit froze, looking at me in disbelief. "Heavenly Emperor, are you serious? That can't be possible!"
I looked at the Flower Spirit and said, "It's true. I just rescued them from the Red Lotus Pavilion, but somehow they were taken away by a mysterious force."
The Flower Spirit hesitated for a moment and said, "Could it be that they were returned to the Red Lotus Pavilion?"
I shook my head. "I'm not sure. However, I believe they might not be there anymore. These individuals will surely become wary; the Flower Fairies could be in increasing danger."
This was also a point I had not fully considered.
"What should we do now, Heavenly Emperor?" The Flower Spirit grew anxious.
"Don't worry; they shouldn't act against the Flower Fairies so quickly. We just need to find them as soon as possible. By the way, there's one more thing—the Flower Fairies told me that their captor is a snake demon."
The "Snake Demon" Flower Spirit looked at me.
I nodded and said, "This Snake Demon must have been in this area for a long time; asking Earth God should provide some answers."
Then, Flower Spirit called out to Earth God.
