I looked at Jinlan, who wore a face full of sadness, and decided to change the subject. I feared that if I continued, Jinlan would feel even worse. After chatting for a while, I bid farewell to Jinlan, as there were too many things I needed to attend to.
Soon after, I called Feng Ju and Old Five to a secluded place to secretly discuss the plans for five days later. Meanwhile, Azure Grain's side was also making preparations in the shadows.

The celestial beings observed our interaction with complex expressions but said nothing. Once they left, I turned to Azure Grain and asked, "Are you ready? Tomorrow marks our wedding day."
Azure Grain nodded, still smiling as she replied, "I'm ready. You can call me Wang Jun, right?"
I was taken aback for a moment but quickly responded affirmatively.
Upon hearing my agreement, Azure Grain became very happy and kissed me on the spot. "You're so wonderful, Wang Jun! Then I'll see you tomorrow."
I nodded as she left. Shortly after Azure Grain departed, Feng Ju appeared before me.
Feng Ju glanced at Azure Grain's retreating figure and said, "Wang Jun."
I nodded in acknowledgment. "Feng Ju, keep an eye on the Heavenly Court for me. I'm going to follow Azure Grain; I have a feeling something significant will happen tonight."
Feng Ju nodded and assured me, "Wang Jun, don't worry. I'll keep a close watch on the Heavenly Court."
I let out a sound and followed Azure Grain. She arrived at the same place as before, opening the barrier, and I stepped in alongside her. We entered a courtyard that was already filled with many people—those I had seen earlier.
"Has there been any movement from the Heavenly Emperor?" the person referred to as the clan leader asked Azure Grain.
Azure Grain appeared nonchalant as she replied, "No movement. I’ve told you all before, the Heavenly Emperor is serious about me. Perhaps he’s just foolishly infatuated with my beauty. I think we can proceed with our original plan without any changes."
Upon hearing Azure Grain's words, I felt a wave of disbelief wash over me. She was far too confident; if it weren't for her connection to the Previous Empress, who would bother to entertain her?
After Azure Grain spoke, the clan leader still looked worried. He scrutinized her and said, "What if the Heavenly Emperor isn't as you say? What if he has secretly prepared everything and is just waiting for us to take the bait? How would you explain that?"
My heart skipped a beat; I hadn’t expected this clan leader to be so astute.
"That's impossible! I can feel the Heavenly Emperor's affection for me. You don't know—he has allowed me to call him Wang Jun. As far as I know, he only permits that woman to call him Wang Jun. The clan leader glanced at Azure Grain but chose not to engage further with her. Instead, he addressed the others, saying, "Regardless, we must be cautious. I will arrange for you to replace the Celestial Soldiers and other important positions in the heavenly court one by one. As he finished speaking, those present erupted in cheers, as if victory was already within their grasp.

After they finished speaking, everyone dispersed, and Azure Grain prepared to leave when the clan leader called out to her.

With that, Azure Grain pulled out a vial of potion from her bosom.
Seeing that the potion was still there, the clan leader sighed in relief and said, "Azure Grain, please don’t let personal feelings cloud your judgment. The Heavenly Emperor is not as simple as you think. Matters concerning the Queen of Heaven cannot afford any mistakes; do you understand?"
Azure Grain seemed to understand the seriousness of the situation, nodding earnestly at the clan leader and saying, "I understand, Clan Leader."
Seeing Azure Grain take things so seriously, the clan leader's expression improved significantly. He continued, "You must not let your feelings cloud your judgment. Regardless of whether you have feelings or not, remember one thing: falling in love with the Heavenly Emperor is a mistake. Our Queen was destroyed by the Heavenly Emperor because of this."
At these words, I was immediately taken aback. What was going on?
I realized I had no idea how the Queen had died.
Azure Grain appeared curious as well and asked the clan leader for clarification.
The clan leader sighed and began to explain to Azure Grain.
After the Queen killed Consort Qian, who was my mother, the Heavenly Emperor manipulated the Queen into weakening Consort Qian's maternal lineage. He also made some promises to the Previous Empress. Under the Heavenly Emperor's secret arrangements, when things had stabilized somewhat, he began to extend his dark hand toward the Previous Empress.
Using their marital bond as an excuse, he took the Queen to a certain place.
When the Queen arrived at that location, she was moved by its romantic setup, thinking that the Heavenly Emperor was preparing a surprise for her. In reality, it was a trap laid out by him.

The Heavenly Emperor then began to coax her into relinquishing her power temporarily, assuring her that it would be returned later because the heavenly court had just undergone turmoil and needed a strong front to pacify those celestial beings.
The Queen agreed and handed over her authority to the Heavenly Emperor. However, what she did not anticipate was that this act would signify her impending death. Once he obtained power, he immediately harbored murderous intent toward her.
With a single strike from the Heavenly Emperor, he could take her life.
Having consumed the poisoned wine, the Queen felt blood surge from her heart with that one blow. In that moment, she understood the true intentions of the Heavenly Emperor.
However, it was all too late; the Queen could no longer save herself. Tears streamed down her face as she loudly questioned the Heavenly Emperor about why this was happening. The Heavenly Emperor's gaze toward her had grown colder.
"Do you even realize what unforgivable thing you have done?" the Heavenly Emperor asked the Queen.
In her heart, the Queen believed she had never done anything wrong to the Heavenly Emperor, so she felt no guilt.
Seeing that the Queen was still oblivious to her mistakes even at death's door, the Heavenly Emperor struck her again. The blow tormented the Queen painfully, leaving her barely clinging to life.
Yet deep inside, she was still unwilling to accept her fate and asked the Heavenly Emperor where she had gone wrong. Hadn't she done enough for him over the years?
In response to the Queen's questions, there was no hint of remorse in the Heavenly Emperor's eyes; instead, there was only disdain.
"Do you know that you killed the person I loved most? I allowed you to destroy her family but forbade you from harming her. Yet you went ahead and killed her anyway."
Upon hearing this, the Queen burst into laughter. After all these thousands of years, she had loved a man with a heart of stone.
He was the one who spoke of killing Consort Tian and claimed to love her as well.
The Queen finally saw through the Heavenly Emperor's true nature, and her heart filled with regret. If she had known it would come to this, she would never have fallen in love with him.
Once the Heavenly Emperor gained control over the Queen's power, he began to eliminate her influence, slaughtering all of her loyal followers.
