Captain Wu retrieved the Dark Flower and stood once again before the golden dragon, channeling Divine Power into it.
His actions seemed to be aimed at saving the golden dragon, which puzzled me somewhat.
With Captain Wu's assistance, the massive dragon regained its original form. It ceased its attack on him and instead knelt at his feet.
Soon after, Captain Wu also released the bindings on another golden dragon, which likewise knelt before him.
I was somewhat astonished. Were these two golden dragons acknowledging him as their master?
In the next moment, I watched as the two golden dragons transformed into human forms before Captain Wu.
"Master."
Captain Wu looked pleased as he regarded the two golden beings before him, responding lightly with a simple "Mm."
Seeing Captain Wu's imposing demeanor left me quite surprised; I had not expected the spiraling golden dragons to take on human forms.
"We should go over," Ruoxi said to me.
I nodded and followed Ruoxi as we approached Captain Wu.
"You see? I've taken care of everything," Captain Wu said proudly, looking at Ruoxi and me.
After he spoke, the two massive dragons dissipated into wisps of smoke that entered Captain Wu's body. Once they vanished, two dragon patterns appeared on his hands.
"Ruoxi, those two dragons won't harm Captain Wu, will they?" I asked anxiously, glancing at him.
Ruoxi stepped closer to Captain Wu and examined the patterns on his hands carefully. "No, don't worry. They are Captain Wu's guardian spirits; they will only protect him and won't cause him any harm."
Ruoxi's words gradually put my mind at ease.
Captain Wu looked at the two dragon patterns on his arm and said to me, "Look, I finally have my own Guardian Deity."
"That's impressive!" I couldn't help but praise Captain Wu.
Then we walked into the Heavenly Court. Although it was magnificent, the surroundings felt desolate, like a cold place that instilled a sense of fear.
"Look, if we walk a bit further, we'll reach the Heavenly Temple," Ruoxi pointed to a small path ahead.
Captain Wu and I looked over and saw that the path was shrouded in White Mist, with strange flowers appearing all around.
"Everyone be careful; these White Mist and flowers are very peculiar," I warned Ruoxi and Captain Wu.
As we stepped onto the path, we instantly sensed something was wrong. The mist transformed into white ropes that tightly bound us.
"This is bad," Captain Wu exclaimed first.
My expression turned troubled, and Ruoxi's face also showed concern.
"Everyone, don't struggle; this is Binding Celestial Rope," I suddenly recalled and said to Ruoxi and Captain Wu.
"Binding Celestial Rope?" Ruoxi's tone was filled with excitement.
"Yes, it's the Binding Celestial Rope used by the Heavenly Gods to deal with those who have made mistakes. If we use Divine Power to break free from the Binding Celestial Rope, it will only worsen our situation. Our Divine Power will not only be rebounded by the Binding Celestial Rope but we could also perish within it," my tone grew serious.
"My goodness, how did this thing end up here?" Captain Wu said.
"There's no need to say more; there are other Celestial Beings around here." I glanced around, realizing that in order to break free from the Binding Celestial Rope, I needed to find the hidden Celestial Beings nearby and subdue them. Only then could the Binding Celestial Rope wrapped around us be undone.
"Younger brother, what are you talking about?" Captain Wu said, astonished.
"Yes, Wang Jun, there might be other Celestial Beings here," Ruoxi looked at me with disbelief.
At that moment, I caught a glimpse of a shadow out of the corner of my eye. Could that be—
An idea suddenly struck me, and I quickly shared my plan with Ruoxi and Captain Wu.
Soon after, we all followed my method and fell down, pretending to faint. This was a tactic to lure the Celestial Being into our trap.
Not long after we collapsed, I noticed a figure approaching us.
My heart raced with excitement as the footsteps grew closer. At that moment, I leaped up with all my strength and directed a prepared dark light at the approaching figure. A chilling scream echoed in our ears. At that instant, the Binding Celestial Rope binding us began to loosen significantly. Seizing the opportunity, I swiftly freed myself from the Binding Celestial Rope.
I quickly moved in front of the Celestial Being and used Divine Power to subdue him.
"Release them now!" I threatened the Celestial Being.
"Hah, you wish!" The Celestial Being's face remained disdainful. I watched as his mouth moved, tightening the Binding Celestial Rope around Captain Wu and Ruoxi even more, causing their flesh to bulge painfully. Pain was evident on Ruoxi's and Captain Wu's faces.
My expression darkened immediately; it seemed this Celestial Being needed a lesson.
"Do you think I can't deal with you?" I said to the Celestial Being.
The subdued Celestial Being scoffed at me arrogantly. I sneered back and tightened my grip around his neck, channeling malevolent energy into his body.
The Celestial God was taken aback, a hint of panic flashing across his face. "What have you done to me?"
I sneered, shaking him off; now, he didn't even have the chance to resist.
"I was wrong! Please, don't inject this dark energy into my body. If you do, I will die! You know how harmful this dark energy is to a Celestial God," he quickly changed his tone and knelt before me.
A cold smile crept onto my lips as I said, "If you want me to let you go, that's possible. But you should know what to do."
Upon hearing my words, the Celestial God nodded eagerly. He then removed the Binding Celestial Rope from Captain Wu and Ruoxi.
"Look, I've taken the Binding Celestial Rope off them. Can you please remove the dark energy from my body?" he pleaded desperately.
I glanced at him, ready to make a move when Ruoxi's voice reached my ears. "Wait, don't."
Ruoxi stepped beside me and whispered a few words in my ear. I immediately understood.
"You can't be released just yet; you need to agree to one thing," I told the Celestial God.
"What is it? Whatever you say, I will agree!" He quickly stood up from the ground, looking at me with urgency.
I replied with a simple "Do you know about the Heavenly Temple?"
At my words, the Celestial God's expression changed dramatically. "What do you want to do at the Heavenly Temple?"
"That's not for you to worry about. Just tell us if you're willing. If not, we will have no choice but to let the dark energy remain in your body," I said coldly.
"Fine, I agree! But before that, I have one request: can you at least reduce the dark energy in my body by half?" The pleading look in his eyes was unmistakable.
I glanced at Ruoxi, who nodded in response. I stepped forward and placed my large hand on the deity's head, drawing out half of the malevolent energy. The deity's expression improved somewhat.
"Thank you," the deity said, retracting the Binding Celestial Rope and leading us toward the Heavenly Temple.
After passing through a narrow path, we saw a large tree, and behind it stood the Heavenly Temple.
"This is the Heavenly Temple," the deity paused and turned to say.
I surveyed the Heavenly Temple before me, feeling a strange sensation; it seemed too simple for a Heavenly Temple.
Once we entered, the Heavenly Temple was very spacious inside. A towering statue stood at its center, and in front of it was a massive Stone Tablet.
"Wang Jun, this is the Heavenly Book that rewrites the mortal realm and produces poison for the Underworld. You need to use your own blood to alter its contents," Ruoxi explained to me.
I nodded and placed my hand on the Heavenly Book. At that moment, Captain Wu also placed his hand on it. After a while, Captain Wu withdrew his hand, his face contorted in pain.
"What’s wrong?" I asked with concern.
"There seems to be a fierce energy emanating from this Stone Tablet; you need to be careful," Captain Wu warned.
I was taken aback; I didn’t feel any fierce energy.
I bit my finger and let my blood drip onto the Stone Tablet. However, before I could begin writing, the blood was immediately absorbed into the Stone Tablet.
