I was somewhat surprised to find that this water prison was hidden underwater.
"Isn't that the people from the Flower Tribe?" Upon seeing the individuals inside the cell, I immediately expressed my astonishment. They were all lying on the ground, seemingly unconscious.
"Yes, they are indeed members of the Flower Tribe. I just used a bit of spiritual power to knock them out," the Tree Sage explained. "The reason I brought you here is because there’s something else."
I looked at the Tree Sage, who continued, "I wanted to talk to you about Ruoxi. At the beginning, I mentioned that I had some feelings for Ruoxi; you should know that by now. Also, now that you're here, you've encountered some old acquaintances from the human realm, haven't you?"
It suddenly clicked for me; the Tree Sage was referring to the paper-crafted Boss. I nodded in acknowledgment.
The Tree Sage walked to the center of the water prison and closed his eyes, seemingly chanting something. I watched him with curiosity. Moments later, I saw wisps of yellow gas emanating from the Tree Sage's body, swirling towards the members of the Flower Tribe and enveloping them instantly.
The members of the Flower Tribe remained unconscious but began to tremble violently, which was quite alarming.
After a while, I noticed that they all transformed back into their original forms—beautiful flowers.
At that moment, the Tree Sage opened his eyes and looked at me. "Come here," he said.
I hesitated for a moment, unsure of what the Tree Sage was doing, but eventually approached him. He pointed to a spot beside him, and I stood where he indicated.
"Do you know why I called you here?" he asked.
I shook my head honestly and replied that I didn't know. The Tree Sage then asked, "Do you know what Ruoxi's true form is?"
"What do you mean?" I looked at him in confusion.
Ruoxi's true form...
The Tree Sage nodded. "Yes, everyone has a true form; even Ruoxi is no exception. Your true form is that of fire. Do you remember what your guardian spirit's symbol is?"
I said, "Remember, it's Three Flames."
"Yes, that's right. You are fire, and Ruoxi is the flower. In your past lives, you were always entangled," Tree Sage replied.
I was somewhat surprised, but previously the paper figurine Boss had told me that Ruoxi's true form was in the human realm. I just needed to bring Ruoxi's soul back to the human world.
Tree Sage glanced at me and began to channel spiritual energy towards the flowers in the water prison. In an instant, these flowers transformed into strands of light, which then converged together.
Soon after, I saw these lights flying towards me. I was taken aback when Tree Sage's voice reached my ears, saying, "Extend your hand."
I hesitated for a moment but quickly reacted and extended my hand just in time to catch the ball of light. In the next second, I saw a small figure appear on my palm; this Doll was formed from that ball of light.
“Tree Sage, what is going on? Why does this Doll resemble Ruoxi?” I noticed the resemblance of the Doll.
"You are correct; this Doll is indeed Ruoxi's essence. Ruoxi transformed from a flower, and she is the embodiment of the Flower God. There’s something else I haven’t told you; I believe he may not know that Ruoxi's true form is not her physical body. This is her true essence. The body in the human realm is merely her flesh without a soul, which will naturally decay over time. The true essence of the Flower God is these myriad flowers. Therefore, even if you find Ruoxi's soul and bring it back to the human realm, it will not revive her; only this true essence can do that."
After saying this, Tree Sage looked at the Doll in my hand.
My gaze also fell upon the Doll, and my heart began to race with excitement. I already had ten Yin Pearls. I could go to the Solitary Sea to find Ruoxi now.
"Now is not the time for celebration," Tree Sage said.
I was taken aback for a moment as memories of what the paper figurine Boss had told me flooded my mind. I needed to use these ten Yin Pearls to reclaim my identity as The King of the Earth. That was essential.
"Your identity hasn't been restored yet; I'll help you," Tree Sage suddenly said while I was lost in thought.
"Really?" I exclaimed, feeling excited that the Tree Sage was considering me so thoughtfully.
"Yes, you need to give me ten Yin Pearls."
I immediately took out ten Yin Pearls and placed them in the Tree Sage's hands. The Tree Sage used spiritual energy to transform all ten Silver Pearls into a massive beam of light. Then, the Tree Sage threw the beam into the air, and in an instant, I was lifted off the ground by this enormous light.
"Close your eyes. During this process of reclaiming your identity, it might be a bit uncomfortable. You must hold on, understand?" the Tree Sage instructed.
"I understand."
I closed my eyes, and suddenly, it felt like something surged directly into my mind. A wave of intense pain enveloped me completely.
I furrowed my brow; this pain was several times worse than anything I had experienced before. I thought it would last a long time, but after a while, the sensation faded away. Then, I heard the sound of dragons roaring in my ears, which was incredibly awe-inspiring.
I felt a surge of excitement and opened my eyes to see a giant dragon flying back and forth in mid-air before me. My eyes widened in astonishment.
"Prepare to accept the identity of the King of the Earth," the Tree Sage's voice echoed in my ears.
I nodded, and just then, I saw the giant dragon that had been circling in the air rush toward me. In an instant, it entered my body, and I felt an overwhelming surge of power coursing through me. The Divine Power that had been suppressed within me was unleashed one by one.
"Ah!" The force erupted from my body, and I couldn't help but cry out.
Afterward, I returned to normal. The Tree Sage approached me with a beaming smile. "Congratulations! You have reclaimed your identity as the King of the Earth."
I looked at the Tree Sage with gratitude, but then I remembered something important.
The members of the Flower Tribe had all transformed into Ruoxi's true form, which meant that the Flower Tribe had officially vanished from this world. However, if the Bird Tribe were to cause a commotion, it would indeed be a difficult situation.
I relayed this matter to Tree Sage, who smiled and said, "There's no need to worry; I will naturally find a way to rescue them. Now, the Spirit Martial Conference is nearing its end. The sooner it concludes, the better. You should say your goodbyes to the Beast Clan and prepare for your journey."
I pondered for a moment before Tree Sage continued, "Now that you have regained your identity as the King of the Earth, you also possess the ability to rescue Ruoxi's soul. Therefore, you must hurry, lest Night is Long and Dreams are Many. Initially, I intended to announce after the Spirit Martial Conference that you would be the future Spirit King, but I think it’s best to wait until you have rescued Ruoxi's soul before making any plans."
Feeling grateful towards Tree Sage, I nodded and left, returning to the venue of the Spirit Martial Conference.
At that moment, other tribes' members were already exiting the venue.
I anxiously searched for Dumeng Princess and Beast King, unsure of who had obtained the Spirit Pearl.
After waiting for a while without seeing any sign of the Beast Clan or Dumeng Princess, my heart began to race with worry. What if something had happened to Dumeng Princess?
I hurriedly rushed inside and happened to bump into Beast King. I immediately asked him where Dumeng Princess was.
Beast King looked at my anxious expression and chuckled, "You two really are quite affectionate. Dumin hasn't come out yet; why don't you go in and look for her?"
Feeling a bit embarrassed, I bid farewell to Beast King and quickly entered the venue. At this point, there was no one left in the hall; only two women remained on stage.
