The Detection Ball was conducting an in-depth exploration behind the stone gate, but this task would take some time. Inside the cave, each member of the team was using this downtime to prepare. Jonas leaned against the stone wall, meticulously inspecting his firearm, checking every detail to ensure it would function flawlessly when needed. Every latch and bullet was scrutinized repeatedly; it was a habit he had developed over the years—before every mission, he would adjust his weapons to peak condition. 0

However, despite his outward focus on the task at hand, he couldn't shake off the worries about the future that loomed in his mind. He constantly pondered the dangers they might encounter in this mysterious cave. The darkness and dampness of the cave, coupled with the faint sounds of movement around them, made him uneasy. He knew that this expedition was not just an ordinary mission; what lay hidden here could far exceed their expectations. 0

What troubled Jonas even more was Mocus's strange behavior. Since earlier, Mocus had been acting unusually; his dazed expression and subsequent fearful reactions sent a shiver of concern through Jonas. Mocus had always been a composed scholar, but in this cave, his demeanor seemed increasingly unhinged—a transformation that Jonas could not ignore. 0

As Jonas sank deeper into his thoughts, Isabella quietly approached Mocus. Her steps were light yet determined, her gaze fixed intently on him. Isabella was intelligent and perceptive; she had also noticed Mocus's oddities. She moved closer to him and softly asked, "Doctor... do you think it's really possible to find answers here?" 0

Mocus lifted his head to look at Isabella, confusion and unease flickering in his eyes. He paused for a moment, seemingly contemplating how to respond. At that moment, the voice in his mind echoed once more, coldly reminding him: The truth is right before you; do not waver. 0

"I... I think it's possible," Mocus finally spoke up. His voice sounded hesitant but still carried a hint of conviction. "Everything here points to some ancient wisdom; perhaps we can truly find answers here—find what we have been searching for all along." 0

Isabella listened carefully to his words, her expression tinged with unease. She knew Mocus was an extremely rational person, but right now he seemed unusually fixated—almost too eager. 0

Isabella slowly moved closer to Mocus, her eyes filled with concern and doubt. She lowered her voice so only they could hear: "Mocus... you know we need to find any clues related to the Super Cell here, right? The Light Activation Project... this is a big deal for both of us." 0

Her tone was laden with pressure and expectation, as if every word carried an invisible weight. Isabella sighed softly before continuing, "Mocus, I need you to focus. I feel like you're... overly excited." 0

Those words struck Mocus like a sharp blade; each syllable felt like a reprimand and a doubt cast upon him. A wave of indescribable anxiety and resistance surged within him. He knew something was off with his state of mind; he felt as though he were being controlled by some uncontrollable emotion, yet deep down he refused to acknowledge it. Instinctively resisting Isabella's words, the familiar whisper in his mind echoed back coldly in response to her doubts. 0

"She doesn't understand..." the voice reverberated in his head, "she doesn't grasp the truth we are pursuing... she only cares about those Cells and the project... but what we seek is far more important than that..." 0

Inside Mocus's mind was a chaotic turmoil; the struggle between reason and that whisper left him almost breathless. On the surface, he forced himself to remain calm, suppressing any outward display of emotion. Taking a deep breath, he fought to quell the inner turmoil before managing a strained smile at Isabella. 0

"I know, Isabella." Mocus's voice sounded calm, but there was still a hint of stiffness in his tone. "I understand the importance of the Light Activation Project to us, and I know the goal of our mission... I will focus." 0

His words seemed perfectly normal, yet the unease in his heart lingered like a shadow. The whispering voice continued to echo in his mind, instilling an indescribable pressure and fear within him. Though he appeared calm on the surface, the struggle deep inside him grew more intense. 0

Isabella watched him quietly, as if trying to discern his true feelings. She knew that Mocus's demeanor was not as tranquil as he claimed, but she also understood that pressing him further would only complicate matters. 0

"Alright," Isabella finally nodded, her tone softening slightly. "As long as you understand. We all hope this operation goes smoothly; no matter what difficulties we encounter, we will face them together." 0

Mocus nodded, but the weight in his heart remained heavy. He knew he was being pulled by some force deeply rooted within him, one that he could not escape. He tried to remind himself to focus on the Light Activation Project and to achieve this lifelong goal, but that voice kept reminding him that the true truth lay far beyond their plans. 0

Samuel stared at the 3D map on the tablet. As data from the Detection Ball streamed deeper into the cave, the map gradually became clearer and more complete. He had initially thought it was just an ordinary underground cave, but upon closer inspection of the map, he discovered some astonishing details. 0

"How is this possible..." Samuel murmured, sliding his finger across the tablet's screen to zoom in on certain areas of the map. His eyes widened as he realized that the cave's structure was far more complex than they had initially imagined. 0

"Jonas," Samuel looked up, his voice filled with evident surprise and confusion. "This cave... it's not just an ordinary cave." 0

Jonas walked over, brow furrowed as he leaned down to look at Samuel's tablet. The screen displayed a cross-section of the cave, clearly divided into three layers. The first layer was relatively shallow, appearing to be the entrance area of the cave. The second layer delved deeper with a more intricate internal structure featuring numerous winding passages. But what shocked them most was the third layer—a vast underground space that far exceeded their expectations. 0

"This third layer..." Samuel pointed at the marked area on the map, his tone filled with disbelief. "Its scale is much larger than any cave we've encountered before, and its structure is exceptionally complex; it feels like some sort of artificially constructed underground palace." 0

Jonas stared at the map with a furrowed brow. He had to admit that what lay before them exceeded his understanding. This cave was much deeper than they had imagined and did not appear to be naturally formed. Especially in regard to the third layer—the immense scale and complex structure seemed almost impossible for the local Indigenous people to have excavated. 0

"This is incredible," Jonas said softly, his tone laced with deep skepticism. "If this cave was truly dug by the local Indigenous people, then they must possess technology and power beyond our imagination; it simply cannot be." 0

A strong sense of unease began to swell within him. The complex structure and vast scale of the cave made him question what it truly concealed. He knew that such a cavern could not merely be the remnants of a local tribe; it might hide some ancient and terrifying secret. 0

"Are you sure this data is accurate?" Jonas looked up at Samuel, his tone filled with doubt. 0

Samuel nodded, his voice firm. "The Detection Ball's scanner is state-of-the-art technology; the accuracy of the data should be reliable. If there really is a third layer, then everything we see now is just the beginning." 0

Jonas pondered for a moment, feeling the pressure within him intensify. He understood that the secrets within this cave could be far deeper and more complex than they had anticipated, and this sense of the unknown filled him with extreme anxiety. 0

"This doesn't feel right..." Jonas murmured to himself, his gaze falling once more on the map. His instincts warned him that this expedition might lead them into an abyss beyond their control, but at this moment, retreat was no longer an option. 0
