Lin Xue's alluring figure was fully revealed, her long black hair cascading down to her chest. I glanced at her and froze for a moment, feeling a bit awkward. 0

But she was truly enticing! 0

I thought to myself, what is going on here? Is she trying to force something with me? In an instant, I felt flustered, but even if she wanted to engage with me, I had to restrain myself. 0

Because she is a ghost! If I were to let a ghost bear my child, that would be disastrous. 0

I slightly diverted my gaze. 0

At that moment, the lights in the room were turned on, and I hesitantly asked, "What are you doing?" 0

Lin Xue's playful voice replied, "Chen Lang, I missed you, so I came to see you." Seriously? If you're coming to see me, at least put some clothes on! 0

Although Lin Xue was a ghost, her skin appeared very fair, and her long legs were positioned right over my important area, almost provoking a reaction from me. 0

However, just thinking about Lin Xue being a ghost made my "fire" dissipate. 0

I said to Lin Xue, "If you missed me, then why not put some clothes on?" 0

After my words fell, a blush unexpectedly appeared on Lin Xue's face. Then her voice turned shy as she said, "Chen Lang, I wanted to see you so much that I forgot to wear clothes." 0

"…" 0

"Chen Lang, you won't hold it against me, will you?" 0

For a normal man, if he saw a beautiful woman come to him without clothes on, he would surely be thrilled. But knowing that this beauty was an Evil Spirit made me feel somewhat apprehensive. 0

I took a deep breath and said to Lin Xue, "I don't blame you, but could you please get off me first?" 0

Lin Xue responded with a soft acknowledgment and slowly eased herself down, her curves accentuated in a way that nearly made me nosebleed. I reminded myself in my mind that she was a ghost, and I needed to stay calm! 0

I sensed that Lin Xue's purpose for seeking me out wasn't going to be simple. 0

I adjusted my breathing and asked her, "Is there something you want to discuss with me?" 0

Lin Xue looked at me playfully and said, "Chen Lang, you're really clever; nothing can escape your notice." As she spoke, she slightly puffed out her chest. 0

I was speechless. 0

I hurriedly asked what it was about, trying to mask my own unease. 0

Lin Xue continued, "Chen Lang, I've decided to marry you, so I've taken the liberty of making a 'Spirit Medium Pact' with you." 0

For a moment, I didn't understand. What did Spirit Medium Pact mean? I directly asked her. 0

Lin Xue, still looking shy, explained, "It means that you and I are already husband and wife; we just need to go through the wedding ceremony." 0

Oh no, now I understood what the Spirit Medium Pact meant. It meant that I was already in a marital relationship with Lin Xue; we were just missing one step. 0

I was stunned. Did she forcefully establish this relationship while I was asleep? Looking at Lin Xue without any clothes on, it seemed entirely possible. 0

My heart sank into an icy abyss. 0

Had she really forced this upon me? At that moment, I felt no joy at all! This was truly a disaster; an inexplicable chill crept up my spine. 0

I felt a sense of emptiness inside. 0

Just then, Lin Xue asked me if I was happy. Damn it, how could I possibly be happy? 0

I glanced at Lin Xue. Although she was completely naked, I felt no interest at all. I thought to myself, what am I supposed to do now? 0

I was a bit angry and said to Lin Xue, "It's not right for you to come over before the wedding. You should go back for now. Once I've picked a date, I'll burn some Joss Paper for you." 0

After I spoke, Lin Xue looked at me reluctantly, her eyes shimmering with emotion. 0

Honestly, if it weren't for the fact that Lin Xue was an Evil Spirit, I would have been more straightforward. I was afraid that if I said something harsh, she might kill me. Otherwise, I wouldn't be so accommodating—having been with a ghost and still needing to speak nicely to her. 0

After hearing my words, Lin Xue seemed to realize it wasn't appropriate and said, "Alright then, Chen Lang. You must choose a date soon; I'll be waiting for you!" 0

Finally, she left. 0

Once she disappeared, I felt like my head was about to explode. All the suppressed emotions erupted. Damn it! It was infuriating! 0

I checked my body but found no marks or traces left behind! 0

What a frustrating situation! 0

I glanced at the clock; it was already past one in the morning. I rushed out of my room and knocked on Gao Ling's door. I knocked for several minutes before Gao Ling finally opened it. 0

Gao Ling looked groggy and said, "Fei, what are you doing up at this hour?" 0

I replied directly to Gao Ling, "I think I'm done for; I'm doomed." My heart raced anxiously as if there were a hole inside me. 0

Gao Ling looked at me and asked, "What's wrong, Fei?" 0

I glanced at Gao Ling, the words almost escaping my lips, but I swallowed them back. Damn it, how could I admit that I had been with a female ghost? 0

However, Gao Ling seemed to have some insight. She quickly said, "Fei, I can see dark energy gathering between your brows; it seems like misfortune is approaching!" 0

Seeing her like this, I decided not to hide any longer and briefly recounted the events to Gao Ling. 0

After I finished, Gao Ling burst into laughter. "Wow, you got overpowered by a female ghost! That's unprecedented!" I told her to stop laughing; I felt like I was doomed. That ghost and I had already formed a Spirit Medium Pact. 0

"What?" Gao Ling's laughter abruptly ceased upon hearing "Spirit Medium Pact," and she exclaimed in shock. 0

Sweat began to bead on my forehead as a chill ran down my spine. I asked Gao Ling if there was any way out of this. 0

Gao Ling shook her head. "I really have no solution. Do you know what a Spirit Medium Pact means? It means you've entered into a ghostly marriage." 0

Theoretically speaking, we were now husband and wife, just like living people who had obtained a marriage certificate—only the wedding ceremony was missing. 0

I inhaled sharply. "Damn it! How could I have not anticipated that she would pull something like this on me?" In my panic, I urged Gao Ling to think of a solution! 0

Gao Ling furrowed her brows, looking quite serious. 0

I knew she was brainstorming, so I refrained from interrupting her. After a while, she said, "The only way is to find Uncle Ghost; I'm really out of ideas." 0

With her half-hearted suggestion, I believed that seeking Uncle Ghost was indeed the only option left. 0

"Then what are we waiting for? Let's go right now!" 0

"It's the middle of the night, Gao Ling!" I exclaimed. "I don't have much time; it's already past three." After a moment, Gao Ling nodded, and we quickly headed towards Uncle Ghost's place. 0

Gao Ling drove his BYD at full speed, and in about forty minutes, we arrived at a village within the city. There were many single-story houses here, and since it was early morning, there was hardly anyone around. 0

"Is Uncle Ghost really living in this place?" I asked. 0

Gao Ling replied with a grunt, "Once we go in, don't say anything out of line. It's best if you let me do the talking." 0

"Okay," I agreed. 0

We soon arrived in front of a single-story house and knocked on the door. After quite some time, someone inside finally responded. The voice was quite old, but when we met face to face, I found that the person was a round, chubby old man who looked rather kind-hearted, not at all like the ruthless character Gao Ling had described. 0

However, I firmly believed in the saying that you can know a person’s face but not their heart. 0

"Gao Ling," the old man greeted politely. He glanced at Gao Ling and asked, "What do you want, brat?" 0

Gao Ling got straight to the point. "My friend is in some trouble and needs your help." 0

With that, he pushed me forward. Uncle Ghost looked me over and then shook his head. "No hope for him," he said. "What kind of joke is this? You bring him to me just to say there's no hope?" 0

I wanted to speak up, but Gao Ling pulled me back and said urgently, "Uncle Ghost, for my sake, please help my friend." 0

Uncle Ghost looked between Gao Ling and me before reluctantly saying, "Fine, for your sake, I'll see what I can do." After speaking, he picked up a bowl of dark liquid from the table and handed it to me. The water looked murky and clearly not safe to drink. 0

"What does this mean?" I asked. 0

Uncle Ghost replied simply, "I'm telling you to drink it." 0

I looked at the bowl of water in front of me, and it seemed like something was writhing within it. I really couldn't bring myself to drink it, so I said, "I won't drink." 0

"Then you can leave," Uncle Ghost replied, his tone resolute. This fat old man was indeed quite uncompromising. 0

Gao Ling immediately tried to mediate, saying, "Uncle Ghost, what kind of water is this? If you won't drink it, how can my friend dare to?" 0

"I won't drink it. Let's see if he will. If not, you all can leave," Uncle Ghost insisted. 0

Gao Ling protested, "Uncle Ghost, this is a bit unfair!" 0

Uncle Ghost explained, "He's already tied to a ghost marriage; half of his life is in that Evil Spirit's hands. Drinking this bowl of water might give him a chance. If he doesn't drink it, well, he might as well wait to die." 0

I stared at the bowl of dark water and then back at Uncle Ghost. Finally, I asked, "If I drink this, does that mean I'll come back to life?" Deep down, I still had many concerns; after all, I had been inexplicably entangled with a female Evil Spirit. How could I feel at ease? 0

Uncle Ghost gave a grunt of acknowledgment. 0

I steeled myself and said, "Then I'll drink it. But if it doesn't work, you know the consequences." 0

At that moment, looking at the old man who seemed somewhat sinister, I felt compelled to make a bold statement. Just as the bowl was about to reach my lips, a shadow suddenly appeared beside me. It said, "Don't drink." 0
