"What is inside?" Ye Kai waited for the feedback from the Nano Flying Insects and Combat Robot, not daring to rush in.
After all, there were clear footprints on the ground. Did this mean that someone had been here before him and opened the stone door?!
If so, could it be assumed that if there was something strange about this place, then the person who entered the stone door before him might have attracted the attention of some guardians that were watching over this area?
WIKI shook her head at Ye Kai's question, indicating that she didn't know either; such questions were difficult for her to comprehend.
Suddenly, a clever Nano Flying Insect flew out.
"Lord God, it seems like another world inside," WIKI said, her eyes lighting up with two blue lasers as she projected the scene within the stone door.
It was a sunlit meadow, with distant green hills and winding rivers crisscrossing the grassland. Groups of gentle Red-eyed White Rabbits, goats, and spotted deer curiously gazed at each Nano Flying Insect.
"It truly is a quiet and peaceful world."
"Let's go. Regardless, at least one group of people has already gone in ahead," Ye Kai said as he stepped through the stone door.
Upon entering, he saw various flying vehicles piloted by Combat Robots already accelerating to several times the speed of sound, beginning their exploration into the distance.
Multifunctional Detectors also started operating, gathering countless data on sounds, colors, and light to continuously improve the map for WIKI.
Seeing the curious and bold gentle animals around him, Ye Kai couldn't help but smile wryly. Although these creatures lacked any demonic aura, living in this tranquil world was filled with Spiritual Energy.
He captured a few of them and stored them in his Spirit Beast Bag.
The remaining animals saw their companions vanish in an instant and couldn't help but flee in panic; perhaps they would never forget this moment for the rest of their lives.
However, at this moment, Ye Kai felt a surge of curiosity. He was eager to understand the biological chain present here; if there were no carnivorous animals, this group of gentle herbivores would have already proliferated extensively.
Just then, a mirrored data report came through, causing Ye Kai to rejoice. "Is there a cluster of Palace Complex ahead?"
"Yes, Lord God, and the Nano Flying Insects have already begun their reconnaissance," WIKI replied, its eyes shimmering with light. "A very strange palace has been discovered. Would you like to see it in person?"
"How strange is it?"
Ye Kai asked with curiosity, "Open the three-dimensional imaging projection."
"Whoosh!!!"
Upon seeing the peculiar palace described by WIKI, Ye Kai suddenly recalled an anime he had watched: Cancer Dismask's Facepaint Palace.
Upon entering the main hall, he found it to be an unusually spacious area. The walls of the hall were covered with countless bizarre human faces, some crying, some laughing, others showing fear, sadness, or cold indifference.
The entire wall was adorned with stone faces that seemed almost lifelike. It appeared as if they were forcibly embedded into the stone wall or were trying to emerge from it, creating an especially eerie sensation.
At a glance, thousands of faces surrounded him from all directions.
This sight sent chills down Ye Kai's spine; nonetheless, he continued to observe closely. After a while, he suddenly noticed two figures appearing one after the other.
Who are they?
Why did they choose to enter here?
What makes this Palace Complex more appealing than others?
At this moment, Ye Kai was seated in the aircraft, sipping a glass of red wine while pondering a myriad of questions. He quietly watched as two figures walked toward a two-meter-high stone door across the hall.
Less than ten minutes after they entered, Ye Kai arrived with a large contingent.
However, he did not rush inside. Instead, he deployed three thousand Combat Robots and increased the number of Nano Flying Insects to nearly one hundred thousand, sending them out in groups to scour the area.
Even if there were no special items to be found, he intended to thoroughly explore the entire Palace Complex on the mountain.
Only then did he proceed with WIKI and nearly a hundred Combat Robots, along with thousands of Nano Flying Insects, toward the mysterious stone hall.
Half of the stone door on the right side was ajar, indicating that the two individuals had already entered.
Just as one of the Combat Robots stepped through the stone door, a sudden sound echoed.
"Clang! Clang! Clang!!"
Through the screen, Ye Kai clearly saw a corridor leading to the Lotus Pond. Metal spikes suddenly shot out from all directions, extending several meters long and effectively sealing off the passageway.
If it weren't for the Electromagnetic Energy Shield, the Combat Robot would have been pierced by these long spikes.
Ye Kai waved his hand, instructing the Nano Flying Insects to scout ahead while he waited with WIKI.
"Ding! Ding! Ding!"
In just a few minutes, they discovered over a dozen such Metal Spike traps. The scene then shifted back to reveal what appeared to be an ancient Jiangnan Water Town, reminiscent of Su Gardens with its elegant corridors.
"Those two who entered didn't trigger any traps?" Ye Kai mused, stroking his chin with a glint of interest in his eyes.
“Lord God, there may be danger ahead.” WIKI's eyes suddenly brightened as it warned, “Nano Flying Insects have detected a large accumulation of Negative Energy appearing within the third Garden Gate, initially assessed to be highly corrosive Demonic Energy.”
“Negative Energy? Highly corrosive Demonic Energy?” Ye Kai was taken aback, his gaze fixated on the walls flanking the corridor ahead.
“Yes, and it is spreading at an alarming Speed. Moreover, there seems to be a very strange creature living within it. Preliminary assessments suggest it resembles the fairies from Western mythology or flower sprites,” WIKI continued.
Sure enough, just three to five minutes later, after careful observation of one side of the corridor wall, Ye Kai finally spotted a series of holes arranged like a honeycomb.
Although the openings were no wider than a thumb, from the dark holes emerged creatures with transparent wings, their faces adorably cute and their bodies petite like fairies.
As these fairy-like beings crawled out and unfurled their transparent wings, they quickly took flight, producing a buzzing sound reminiscent of bees in motion.
However, in an instant, Ye Kai frowned. The girls with transparent wings were slowly changing color; their skin transitioned from a normal creamy white to a dark green.
Moreover, their once smooth and pristine bodies began to be covered by what appeared to be a hard shell, and their features took on a strangely sinister and malevolent expression.
As this swarm of hundreds of fairies rapidly flapped their wings, their delicate faces transformed into grotesque visages, emitting hissing sounds akin to snakes flicking their tongues, sending chills down Ye Kai's spine.
The swarm of fairies quickly noticed the intruders Ye Kai and WIKI, and they opened their mouths wide, revealing rows of jagged teeth like saw blades.
