"Hehe, what should we do now?"
Anna's lips curled into a sly, dangerous smile, her lazy demeanor laced with allure. "Is this what you call a fair judgment against me, Beiman?"
"You should be well aware of your fate!" Beiman replied sternly.
"Hahaha..."
Suddenly, an endless malice flickered in Anna's eyes, and the dark aura around her began to seep out unabashedly.
"Splurt!"
Dibearzagg pulled out a vial of Holy Water and splashed it directly at her. Caught off guard, steam rose from Anna's body, and the skin that came into contact with the Holy Water turned pitch black, revealing scars that looked as if they had been burned by flames.
"Let everyone present and God himself see your true nature. This woman before me is accused of practicing dark magic; she summoned the Black Death from hell to plague the world..."
"Aha, heh heh... I'm truly flattered, but let me tell you..." Anna turned in her prison cart, tilting her head with a mocking and venomous expression.
"I did deceive you all!"
"You think that by openly admitting these wrongs, you can attain redemption? You're mistaken!"
Dibearzagg clutched The Book of Solomon tightly, speaking with righteous authority. "I command you to confess the whole truth before God right now!"
"The truth?"
Anna scoffed as if she had heard a ridiculous joke. After a disdainful laugh, she suddenly snarled, "Don't talk to me about truth, you bunch of hypocrites and despicable people..."
"Hundreds of years, hundreds of years, you despicable wretches have continuously used fire, hanging, and crucifixion against anyone who obstructs you."
She suddenly turned around, her eyes glowing with two dark orbs of light. An eerie aura emanated from her, causing the two high-spirited horses pulling the carriage to whinny in fright. At that moment, she revealed a contemptuous smile again. "To be honest, I should actually thank you."
"The souls sent to Endless Hell by the Church far exceed those who have died from war, famine, and plague..."
Dibearzagg's eyes widened in fury as he shouted, "What utter nonsense, you Witch!"
Beiman seemed to sense something. After giving Ye Kai a slight nod, he suddenly called out loudly, "Dibearzagg, prepare the ritual and incantation!"
Upon hearing this, Ye Kai and Nerun began to feel anxious. After all, facing a demon for the first time, they had no idea how powerful this creature from hell truly was.
Although both felt a weight in their hearts at Beiman's suggestion, they recalled that he and Ferson were seasoned elites who had survived countless life-and-death battles and were still lively. It was not surprising.
Thus, they began to discreetly signal their team to get ready for an all-out assault at any moment.
Just then, a strange chant echoed through the air. Inside the prison carriage, Anna suddenly closed her eyes. Dimly, Ye Kai saw fiery red lines writhing beneath her skin.
"Ah!!!"
A sudden gash appeared on Dibearzagg's hand, crimson blood flowing like a stream.
Feeling the bizarre attack method, Ye Kai's Dual Eyes narrowed sharply. He drew a two-handed sword that shimmered with white light and fixed his gaze on the prison carriage.
"Ha, Beiman, what are you planning? Are you going to kill an innocent child again?"
"Anna" wore a mocking expression. "And now is an opportunity, a chance for redemption. Do you really think that pretending not to care about what you've done in the past will allow you to forget it completely?"
"Come on, Beiman, you can deceive others, but can you really deceive yourself? Your sins could also be a legend. Come on, tell me, tell everyone, how many innocent lives have been taken by your sword?"
At that moment, it seemed as if everything returned to the past in Beiman's eyes.
"The other side are atheistic heathens; they blaspheme against God and His only son, Jesus Christ. They must be punished..."
Ferson's face was filled with shock as he murmured in disbelief, "How do you know this?"
Just then, Ye Kai suddenly reminded them, "I don't know how she knows, but I can tell you that the aura of death and heat around her is growing stronger. You all better be careful; this is no joke!"
"Death and heat?!"
Dibearzagg's expression changed drastically as he frantically flipped through his copy of The Book of Solomon. His gaze suddenly sharpened as he exclaimed, "She’s not a black witch; no, she’s a demon..."
As he began to recite the incantation, Anna's expression also shifted. A sharp, animal-like shriek erupted from her voice: "Don't you dare chant those damned spells!"
"Ahhh... roar roar roar..."
With Dibearzagg's incantation echoing in the air, Anna completely lost control. Her eyes turned pitch black as she began to scream wildly within the confines of the prison cart.
The roars that erupted from her were like those of tigers and leopards, sending chills down everyone's spines and causing strange phenomena to occur. Whirling winds began to circle around the prison cart incessantly.
The atmosphere grew increasingly dark as endless clouds began to roll ominously above the land.
Ye Kai's expression grew increasingly serious as he watched the steel frame of the prison cart slowly turn red and soften, before bursting into flames with a loud pop. In just three seconds, it was completely consumed by fire.
"Caw... caw... quack..."
A swarm of crows and strange goat-headed bats began to circle above the Monastery, and the atmosphere grew ever darker, as an endless night descended upon the land.
"Crack, crack, crack!!!"
Suddenly, a series of bone-cracking sounds erupted from Anna's body. Her skin transformed into a dark blue hue, and her fingers began to enlarge, sharp claws glinting coldly as they pierced through her skin.
"Roar!!!"
With her roar, Ye Kai understood that the real battle had begun. He instantly positioned himself in front of Dibearzagg, watching as the monstrous figure approached and swung a sword with ferocity.
"Clang, clang, clang!!"
At the moment Ye Kai struck, Nerun also unleashed several sword strikes from the side. The sounds of clashing echoed as both he and Anna were forced back a few steps, their bodies momentarily halted by the impact.
Transformed into a demon, Anna let out a cold snort. She kicked up a stone with her toe and sent it flying towards Nerun. With a loud thud, Nerun was knocked back three or four steps by the force of the blow.
Simultaneously, she snapped her fingers, and several pillars of intense flame erupted from the ground beneath her feet. With a thunderous roar, everyone except Ye Kai was blasted away.
