"What the hell is that?!" The delicate cat continuously wiped the blood streaming from her face, her expression shifting wildly.
As she wiped away the crimson, sticky blood, any sense of contempt vanished from her heart. While everyone else was frantically fleeing, she felt no pain; instead, she suddenly realized that her entire body was becoming numb.
It was like a patient on a surgical table who had been given anesthesia, with only her eyes able to move slightly. The chilling sensation made her increasingly fearful.
"Don't stop! Hurry up and go!" Beiman urged everyone to leave quickly, his expression serious.
Wood and Wen Changqing, along with a few others, nodded in agreement without any doubt. This caused Ferson, who had been keeping an eye on them, to relax his vigilance slightly.
"Quickly! If we cross this mountain, we'll reach White Line Gorge. We need to get there as soon as possible," Haigema shouted, wiping the sweat from his brow.
Dibearzagg also shouted anxiously, "Mr. Eckhart, hurry! Those demons are going to catch up!"
As everyone rushed towards White Line Gorge with tense expressions, terrifying mutated werewolves began to appear in the woods on either side of them.

"Ye, don't you think it's a bit strange?" Nerun asked seriously, his eyes scanning the surroundings warily.
"Of course it's strange!" Ye Kai felt a surge of unusual emotions but quickly continued to chase after the others. He countered, "Do you believe in souls?"
Nerun frowned in thought. "Ye, are you suggesting that those black-red birds have evolved into tangible souls?"
"No, it's not just that simple. I understand Holy Rune quite well and have some knowledge about these things," Ye Kai replied after a moment of contemplation, deciding it was best to explain it within the context of this world.
"I've discovered that it's a fusion of twisted mental power based on souls. However, it has been tainted by dark energy and forcibly birthed into creatures after being attached by various negative energies."
"Those things are a mix of many elements; it's not something that can be solved by a single method."
"Didn’t we just take down a lot of them?" Nerun listened in confusion, but after hearing the explanation, he was still taken aback. He shook his head vigorously, trying to cast aside the ominous feeling creeping into his mind.
"We’ve encountered many strange things along the way, like giants appearing out of nowhere and the crazed, mindless Cyclops Demon."
Ye Kai shook his head. For some reason, at that moment, Nerun gave him the impression of someone who never wanted to experience this again: "They don’t..."
"Awooo!!!"
Suddenly, he heard an extremely loud and high-pitched wolf howl.
It was a sound filled with immense pride, excitement, and even a frenzied killing intent.
"This is bad!"
Nerun's mask nearly fell off as he forced a bitter smile. "Ye, we might have to fight for our lives; another pack of rabid dogs is coming."
"Chilly!!!"
A group of ferocious werewolves, tongues lolling and drooling, charged out from both sides.
"Bang! Bang!!"
With two consecutive crashing sounds, two Black-Furred Werewolves were sent flying as they attempted to encircle them.
"What the hell! Where did these guys come from? According to my calculations, I should be able to blow their heads off!" Ye Kai stared in shock at the two Alpha Wolves that had just smashed through a tree trunk.
"Bang!"
He quickly turned around and delivered another powerful kick. A werewolf lunging from the right was sent flying once more, but this time the impact caved in its entire chest, sending a spray of internal organs and Blood Mist erupting out.
"These werewolves are at least twice as strong as any I've encountered!"
Ye Kai swiftly dodged a few Gray-Furred Werewolves and instantly sprinted into the distance, his voice low as he said, "Don't you think we should do something?"
"I'm looking for an opportunity!" Nerun replied anxiously.
He knew just how troublesome the creature lurking somewhere could be. If they got caught in between like this, stopping would mean facing immense danger!
"Thud!!!"
The two-meter-long Soft Sword in his hand quickly wrapped around a Gray-Furred Werewolf charging from behind and with a flick, it was sliced into dozens of pieces by the sharp blade.
"Let's go! There are still seven pure silver-furred giant wolves behind them, along with a Golden-Furred Wolf King. However, once we cross the White Line Gorge, they won't pursue us any longer."
"Cross the White Line Gorge?"
Watching Nerun's speed suddenly surge to its limit, Ye Kai's eyelids twitched. Goodness, that speed is outrageous! What terrifying creature is chasing us?
"Boom Boom Boom!!!"
At that moment, a loud crash echoed as a four-meter-tall Silver Giant Wolf smashed through oak trees, charging toward him with crazed red light flashing in its eyes.
Ye Kai calculated quickly but soon realized that even he would struggle to withstand this impact. If he didn't conceal his strength, he would undoubtedly end up severely injured.
"Bang! Bang Bang!!!"
With three consecutive swipes of its massive claws, three one-meter-wide craters appeared behind Ye Kai, sending clouds of dust flying. Even as he dodged swiftly, he felt the ground tremble beneath him.
Suddenly, a massive log spun toward him like a giant top, crashing into his path.
Not only was Ye Kai startled by the blow, but even Nerun, who was running headlong ten meters ahead, felt his scalp tingle and his face turn pale.
With a strange cry, Ye Kai soared into the air like a great roc spreading its wings, evading the strike. At the same time, dozens of grenades suddenly appeared in his hand and were tossed backward.
"Boom Boom Boom!"
The Silver Giant Wolf and seven or eight Gray-Furred Werewolves, caught off guard, were instantly knocked to the ground by the shockwave.
Hearing the piercing howls of wolves behind him, Nerun's expression changed dramatically as he cursed loudly, "Damn it! Are you crazy? Those big dogs are all transformed beasts, they're all lunatics! Why did you provoke them? You're going to get us killed!"
Sure enough, just as Ye Kai landed and scattered another batch of grenades, several massive roars echoed from the dense forest in the distance.
"Damn it, another Silver Giant Wolf?!"
"Of course! I told you that as long as we crossed the White Line Gorge, they would give up. Why did you provoke those rabid dogs?!"
"Shut up! Just because we're temporarily cooperating doesn't mean you can act tough with me!"
"You..."
"Shut your mouth!"
At that moment, Ye Kai grabbed Nerun by the shoulder and hurled him forward with a fierce shout, "Stop dawdling! Get moving! I'll hold them off for a bit; you hurry up and get the others to move faster."
Before his words had even faded, he had already thrown out dozens of grenades again. After a series of loud explosions, his figure flickered and vanished. When he reappeared, he had already decapitated four Alpha Wolves.
With a loud bang, Ye Kai was sent flying backward by the force of a massive silver claw. He swung his arms repeatedly as sparks flew in all directions, pushing back two more Silver Giant Wolves.
As he struck at the three-inch-long claws that resembled crystal, sparks erupted in a dazzling display.
"Damn it, this is really infuriating!" Ye Kai muttered under his breath.
The strength of these Silver Werewolves was represented numerically, each at least around fifty. Even he wouldn't dare to take a full hit from one, yet suddenly there were four of them. How was anyone supposed to survive this?
At that moment, he could see the group of people on the distant mountaintop. If no one stayed behind to hold them off, by the time the werewolf horde caught up, no more than five people from that group would likely survive.
This forced him to stop and deal with these terrifying creatures.
"Damn it, hurry up and run! I can't hold them off for long by myself. If you have any heavy weapons, don't hide them! Find an opportunity quickly!" Ye Kai shouted impatiently at the person in front who looked conflicted.
"Shut up! I know what I'm doing!" Nerun yelled back in frustration.
With that, he crouched down and his Soft Sword vanished into his waist. Then he stomped the ground hard, creating a crater as he suddenly disappeared from his spot.
Damn it!
Ye Kai shot an angry glance at Nerun, who had just unleashed a speed several times greater than before. He then began to evade the werewolves' claws, which were as hard as steel.
Clang! Clang! Clang!
He knocked one Alpha Wolf back again, and a series of metallic sounds rang out against its chest.
Just as he was about to deal with this Alpha Wolf, five shimmering claws appeared behind him. With a dull thud, he was knocked back several meters, nearly falling into a nearby pack of Gray-Furred Werewolves.
While he didn't care about the Black-Furred Werewolves, the Gray-Furred Werewolves posed a threat. His expression changed slightly as he turned his body low and suddenly leaped upward at an angle, crushing the skull of a Gray-Furred Werewolf beneath his foot before using the momentum to jump high again.
Boom!
As the sound of taut metal reverberated through the air, two black Azure Dragons spiraled down toward the Gray-Furred Werewolves below, instantly shredding seven or eight Alpha Wolves into dozens of pieces.
The stench of spilled blood lingered in the air, momentarily halting the attack of the Silver Giant Wolf and clearing the threats from the ground beneath.
"Whoosh!"
Ye Kai shook his arms, retracting two specially crafted memory metal wires that pulled his daggers back. He dared not pause for even a moment; he knew just how formidable these werewolves were. If he didn't give it his all, he would truly be in trouble!
"Awooo!!!"
Hearing the chilling howl behind him sent a shiver down Ye Kai's spine. Although he had just gained at least four thousand Evolution Points from that encounter, he could easily be torn to shreds by the enraged werewolves.
He realized that these special werewolves were far more powerful than Lucien's Subordinates and much crazier as well. Just as Nerun had described, they were like rabid dogs.
"Bang!!"
Another Alpha Wolf crashed through several oak trees, roaring fiercely as it pursued him. At the same time, with this Alpha Wolf's rampage, a series of piercing wolf howls echoed once more.
"Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!!"
The Oak Forest behind him seemed to shake as if an earthquake had struck, with trees toppling over and being uprooted. Many trunks were hurled at him by these frenzied werewolves.
