City A Xu Yi's home
Back home, Xu Yi threw herself onto the soft sofa and felt her whole body relax. She closed her eyes and replayed every moment of the exam in her mind, the moments of tension, anxiety, excitement, and relief intertwined to form a unique picture.
Xu Yi: "【Jian Chen, I'm done with the exam.】"
After a long time, Jian Chen still did not reply.
A few days later, the college entrance examination results were finally announced. Xu Yi sat in front of the computer, her heart pounding like a drum, her fingers trembling as she entered her examination number. The number that popped up on the screen momentarily left her feeling dazed. 657 points, completely beyond her expectations, enough to get into University A.
Xu Yi happily shared this news with her parents, and the whole family was immersed in the joyful atmosphere, except for Xu Yi, who was filled with mixed emotions.

Received the admission letter on July 24th, 223. Xu Yi received the admission letter from University A. She sat alone by the window, tightly holding the heavy letter, feeling a mix of emotions. She looked at the bright sunshine outside the window, lost in her thoughts. This achievement, this admission letter, was once her dream, but now she felt an indescribable feeling.
Jian Chen - this name echoed repeatedly in her mind. Since their last phone call, he hadn't replied to any of her messages.
Xu Yi took a deep breath, trying to calm the turmoil in her heart. She decided to ask Jian Chen today via video, to find out what was going on.
Sitting at her desk, Xu Yi hesitated with her fingers on the phone. She wanted to send a video invitation to Jian Chen, but was afraid to face the possible outcome. However, she knew she needed a clear answer, needed to understand Jian Chen's attitude.
Finally, she gathered her courage and clicked the send button. The loading icon on the screen spun, and her heart raced nervously along with it.
A few seconds later, the video connected successfully, and Jian Chen's face appeared on the screen. He looked somewhat haggard, with a hint of weariness in his eyes.
Xu Yi looked at him, feeling a surge of complex emotions. She took a deep breath, trying to make her voice sound calm: "Jian Chen?"
Jian Chen fell silent for a moment, then nodded, "Hmm." The two fell into a brief silence, and the atmosphere seemed somewhat heavy. Xu Yi took a deep breath and broke the silence, " Jian Chen, why didn't you reply to my message? Has something happened?" Jian Chen spoke slowly, " Xu Yi, there's something I want to tell you."
Xu Yi looked at his serious expression and suddenly felt a sense of foreboding in her heart. She forced a smile and said, "Go ahead."
Jian Chen sighed and looked at Xu Yi on the screen, a hint of complex emotions flashing in his eyes. He slowly said, "Xu Yi, let's break up." Jian Chen spoke coldly to the screen and then hung up the video call.
Xu Yi was stunned by Jian Chen's words, unable to speak for a moment, and could only stare blankly at the screen.
Jian Chen looked at Xu Yi's reaction, feeling a mix of emotions in his heart. Xu Yi silently shed tears, which fell onto the screen of her phone, blending with the words "call duration 1 minute 20 seconds." She felt as if her heart was being twisted by a knife, as if a powerful force was tearing her apart. She sat there, letting the tears flow, not understanding why Jian Chen suddenly suggested breaking up, why he decisively ended the video call.
Xu Yi Looking back on the bits and pieces of our past, those sweet moments feel like just yesterday.
