Tald felt a surge of determination rising within him, ready to unleash a fierce declaration, when suddenly, an overwhelming aura descended upon him without restraint.
"Vacuum Wave!!!"
At that moment, true fear gripped him. He thought these were reinforcements summoned by Cydis, so the tendrils on his back intertwined once more, forming a strange pattern. He unleashed a blinding white light, accompanied by a piercing shriek that echoed through the air.
"Ah!!!"
Cydis was momentarily stunned as well, but she quickly regained her composure. Just as she was about to question Tald, she noticed he wore an expression of sheer terror, which made her realize something was amiss.
