Amidst her pleas, Ye Kai left a few protective treasures for his 'disciples' Kou Zhong and Xu Ziling, and tossed several exquisite jewels and even a sword far beyond the era's standards to Song Lu as payment for the boat fare. When Zhu Yuyan saw that flying object again, her pupils constricted. However, what moved her even more, even causing a hint of panic, was the sight of her precious disciple sitting atop it.
Yet she still maintained the habit she had cultivated over decades, forcing herself to suppress the surprise and lightly nodded. "Wanwan, look at how you’re shouting like that!"
Wanwan stuck out her tongue playfully and turned back, tugging at Ye Kai's sleeve. "Senior, come on, get up! Master is waiting for you!"
