As the ancient and eerie images flashed rapidly through Mocus's mind, everything suddenly came to a halt. It was as if scenes from thousands of years ago were abruptly severed by an invisible force, vanishing without a trace. Mocus felt something being pulled from his brain, as if something important had been stripped away. He was instantly engulfed by an indescribable emptiness, a deep sense of loss that spread relentlessly from his heart. 0

This emotion quickly overwhelmed him like a tidal wave, filling him with immense disappointment and confusion, as if he had just brushed against the edge of the truth only to have it cruelly snatched away at the crucial moment. He began to ponder why he had participated in the Light Activation Project, his desires and confusions intertwining painfully within him. Mocus clearly remembered that his purpose for joining this mission was not merely for scientific exploration; the obsession with uncovering the truth was deeply rooted in his heart, driving him to seek answers relentlessly. 0

At that moment, the voice in his mind echoed again, laced with a hint of mischievous laughter: "Yes... Dr. Mocus, you joined the Light Activation Project just to find out... what I truly am, didn't you?" 0

This statement struck like thunder, exploding within Mocus's consciousness. He widened his eyes in shock, filled with dread. He had never revealed this deepest secret to anyone, yet this voice seemed to know it all too well, piercing directly into his innermost being and leaving him nowhere to hide. 0

Mocus felt a chill run through his body; his heart raced as if the entire world had come to a standstill in that moment. His mind was a chaotic jumble, thoughts scattered like pieces of a broken puzzle that he could not reassemble. He could not comprehend how this voice knew everything, even truths he himself was unwilling to face—truths that were laid bare so directly and cruelly. 0

"What... what are you?" A storm surged within Mocus as he attempted to ask, but his throat was too dry to produce sound. He felt as though he were being completely controlled by some invisible force; this sensation was more real and terrifying than ever before. The voice in his mind felt like an unseen hand gripping him tightly, pulling him toward an endless abyss. 0

"This is what you want to know, isn't it?" The voice whispered, dripping with smugness and disdain, as if mocking Mocus's vulnerability and helplessness. "Don't be afraid, Dr. Mocus... the truth will be revealed to you at the right time, as long as you follow me." 0

Lying on his bed, the tumultuous emotions within him refused to settle. His thoughts drifted back to when he first arrived at this place—the tribe hidden deep within the jungle—where he had heard tales of the Black Rope Deity. The locals' reverence and fear of the Black Rope Deity captivated him deeply; although he feigned disdain outwardly, he could not suppress the fervent curiosity within. 0

Mocus was obsessed with those legends not because of the Super Cells or for the Light Activation Project. What he truly wanted to know was the truth behind this mysterious Black Rope Deity. This desire drove him to participate in this perilous mission; even if the truth ultimately proved to be nothing more than a crude joke told by ignorant savages, he had to witness it for himself. 0

These thoughts echoed ceaselessly in his mind, accompanied by that voice which continued to erode his consciousness. The voice laughed darkly within him, carrying an indescribable wickedness: "Doctor... the truth lies in tomorrow's journey... as long as we cooperate well, you will learn everything you wish to know." 0

This statement struck Mocus's heart like a heavy hammer. He could not ignore the temptation and promise embedded in that voice. Though fear and unease gripped him, the burning desire for knowledge ignited like flames within him, compelling him to move forward regardless of what dangers or unknowns lay ahead. 0

"Truth..." Mocus silently repeated these two words as his heart raced within his chest. He knew that this journey would bring him closer to the secrets hidden behind legends, and there would be no turning back. No matter how dark or terrifying that truth might be, he had to know. 0

"As long as we can cooperate well..." The voice carried a hint of cunning and provocation, as if anticipating Mocus's reaction. Mocus felt that power gradually taking control of him, yet the desire within made it difficult for him to resist this influence. 0

"Alright..." Mocus silently resolved that no matter where this journey would lead him, he would spare no effort in uncovering the truth about the Black Rope Deity. Even if that truth could completely alter his perception of the world, or even push him into an endless abyss, he was willing to explore it. 0

The voice seemed to sense his determination and let out a satisfied low laugh before fading into the depths of his mind. Mocus felt a profound emptiness wash over him, as if everything that had just happened was merely an illusion. But he knew this was just the calm before the storm. The journey ahead would change his life forever, bringing him the truth he had long sought, and perhaps even more unknown horrors. 0

Mocus lay on his bed, his body succumbing to an irresistible fatigue. He could feel that deep voice echoing in his mind, soft and full of temptation, as if hypnotizing him: "Sleep now... Mocus, sleep now... you need rest." 0

This voice was like an invisible force, bringing with it an unresistable sense of calm that gradually dispelled his inner fears and anxieties. Mocus felt his eyelids growing heavier; no matter how hard he tried, he could no longer stay awake. His eyes closed involuntarily, and with that closure, the sense of strangeness in his mind began to fade away, as if that unusual presence was slowly merging with his consciousness, becoming one with him. 0

Mocus sensed himself adapting to this feeling step by step, the resistance deep within him continually weakening. Although he still could not fully comprehend the source and purpose of this voice, he began to accept its existence as if it were a natural part of himself. He understood that this voice was not merely an illusion but a substantial presence slowly intertwining with his awareness. 0

Yet even so, Mocus retained a flicker of rational struggle within him. He couldn't help but question whether he had truly gone mad—was all of this real or just a figment of his imagination? Such doubts constantly surfaced in his mind but could not linger for long because that voice continued to urge him into slumber. 0

"Perhaps I really am losing my mind..." Mocus whispered to himself as his thoughts grew increasingly hazy, as if he were about to be pulled into an endless abyss. However, the obsession for truth deep within him prevented complete surrender. The images that had flashed through his mind earlier and the overwhelming sensations made it impossible for him to ignore their significance. 0

This was not merely an illusion; it felt more like a real experience intertwined with time and space. Those ancient scenes and incomprehensible languages deeply touched Mocus's soul. Even though fear resided within him and he felt as if some malevolent force was taking control, his obsession for truth was stronger than all of it. 0

"No matter what, I must know the truth..." This was Mocus's final thought; he knew there was no turning back. The influence of that voice had seeped into his very bones, and all he could do was yield to this power and continue forward, regardless of where this path might lead. 0

With this thought, Mocus felt himself completely relax as both body and consciousness gradually sank into a dark dream. The voice whispered once more in his ear: "Yes, Mocus... sleep now... tomorrow, the truth will be closer to you..." 0

With those words, Mocus fully entered the realm of dreams, where fear and obsession intertwined within him, leading him into a more mysterious and unknown world. He knew that after this night, nothing would ever be the same again. 0
