Legends about extraterrestrials have woven through the entire history of human society, with countless mysteries that science cannot explain, yet human intuition seems to sense the answers. Such phenomena began to appear frequently around the late twentieth century, with signs scattered across the globe. The "Familiar" program of Internal Human was officially launched in the early twenty-first century, corresponding to the internal expansion army led by Ban Sa in the Lunar Era, which faced off against the resistance forces led by Inner Beings, New King, and Nars. At this point, the battlefield had largely turned in favor of one side. The Southern Gate Project was rumored to have been included in future construction goals since the founding of New China, but due to a lack of technological and economic support at that time, it had not been put into practice. 0

In 2030, Liang Muqi launched China's first artificial gravitational wave into space toward the moon using a giant Gravitational Wave Emitter developed by his team. Initially, he thought this would be a mere self-entertainment for humanity, and he did not pay much attention to it. He turned his focus to discussing the development possibilities of a new type of warfare weapon—Human-Machine Integrated Wearable Armor—with military industrial groups like General Wang. However, two years later, he received a very complete gravitational wave on an already idle receiving instrument. 0

In two years' time, which in cosmic terms felt like just two seconds, this indicated that the unknown contact was very close to Earth. He had previously aimed his sights at Europa, believed to have potential for life, but had never received authorization to launch another gravitational wave. Frustrated, he privately utilized his still-maturing Quantum Technology to send a Quantum Band back in that original direction. This matter weighed heavily on Liang Muqi's mind. In 2049, his team successfully put their humanoid armor prototype into operation. Everyone was discussing whether this successful creation could be ready in time for this year's Centenary Celebration of the Founding of the Nation, hoping to surprise their homeland. Yet just when everyone was filled with enthusiasm, Liang Muqi announced that due to funding issues, the project would be paused until further notice. 0

With Liang Muqi's high prestige and status at that time, no one questioned his words. Indeed, the development of the humanoid armor had consumed a massive amount of resources from the entire base. However, all of this was just one side of the story told by Liang Muqi, as he had once again received a quantum encrypted reply that was even more perfect than his own quantum frequency response—and this encryption was ineffective for him, meaning it was visible only to him. 0

"We have always been by your side, dear." 0

That night, as Liang Muqi pondered over these strange words and tossed and turned in bed, he decided the next day that all high-tech research under his supervision would be completely sealed off from external access. General Wang did not question him; though somewhat puzzled, he approved his request. Unable to determine whether this message was a threat or a fact—or perhaps an expression of goodwill—he could only prepare for the worst. Standing at the pinnacle of human intellect, he was the first to see the volcanoes along humanity's path of growth. 0

After Liang Muqi's discovery, prophets among humans gradually emerged. Under their protection, the Southern Gate Project was secretly restarted and given a new significance—to respond to any potential cosmic threats in the future. 0

"The Southern Gate Project isn't as mysterious as you think," said General Jiang, walking with two others on a platform overlooking rows of never-before-seen war machines taking shape below. "To put it simply, it's about daringly loading immature technologies onto existing combat platforms; we have no other choice." 0

"If they're willing to load them onto such aircraft and tanks, they must not be inexperienced," said Lu Sha, leaning eagerly against the railing to observe the production line below. 0

General Jiang paused and nodded in acknowledgment: "What I mean by immature is that some technologies have never been applied on real battlefields. For example, outside of Southern Gate, there's another world-class cooperative project being established on Japan's latest artificial island... Lu Sha, what you're standing over is a semi-finished product belonging to the branch plan 'White Emperor.'" 0

"White Emperor City?" Lu Sha thought aloud. "It sounds so cultured!" 0

"White Emperor is a deity in our legends who governs the skies and is one of the Five Emperors," explained An Xiaotian. "Naming this model after such a mighty figure suggests it will be a key player in aerospace combat." 0

"Indeed," continued General Jiang. "White Emperor is a heavy multi-role fighter jet equipped with state-of-the-art magnetic propulsion devices and fusion engines for high-intensity combat both in space and within the atmosphere. All aircraft in the Southern Gate Project have abandoned traditional missile concepts; instead, each White Emperor carries four pump-action high-precision Laser Emitters, which serve as its primary air combat weapon. Although its firing rate isn't as fast as fully automatic systems, its precision and penetration power are deadly enough; fully automatic systems can suffer from rapid energy depletion issues. All four emitters are concealed within its sleek aerodynamic body since its fuselage integrates seamlessly with its wings; I refer to it collectively as its body. Below its fuselage is a black hole vortex generator capable of locking onto targets within any radius on land for precision bombing strikes; each generated artificial black hole can eliminate all surrounding threats without leaving any explosive traces behind as it takes its target away. The tail compartment houses manually operated aircraft cannons capable of launching interference bombs, EMP explosives, and hovering balloon mines for evasion when necessary." 0

"Oh my," said An Xiaotian, shaking his head in amazement as he admired the elegant contours of the White Emperor. Even though it wasn't fully formed yet, its rounded shape with almost no visible angles left both him and Lu Sha awestruck. 0

"The design of the White Emperor is indeed aimed at outer space combat; thus its fuselage must be smooth and perfectly symmetrical—it looks like a work of art, doesn't it?" said General Jiang, eager for their astonished expressions. 0

"Next up is another fighter jet you'll see—a completed model designed solely for operations below Earth's stratosphere; its appearance is completely different from that of the White Emperor." 0

As they approached an intersection with two paths—one leading left above current factory buildings while straight ahead ended at a locked door leading elsewhere—Lu Sha caught up with curiosity: "General, you mentioned another project being built in Japan?" 0

Under their watchful eyes, General Jiang projected a holographic plan document from his watch towards both An Xiaotian and Lu Sha. "You can take a look at our support plan for Japan," he said without surprise at their complex expressions. "We certainly cannot forget past grievances; however, that should not hinder our collective efforts against adversity. Remember this lesson: when you harbor resentment due to others' harm towards you, true revenge lies in continuously strengthening yourself until you can actively forgive them." 0

After extraterrestrial forces were officially reported, an emergency meeting was convened by the United Nations where China's spokesperson laid everything bare and called upon nations and individuals alike to set aside grievances for future generations' right to their own planet. However, countries were preoccupied with stabilizing internal panic and suppressing religious extremism until “Heavenly Eye” telescopes and their Armed Satellite Matrix were destroyed—only then did global public opinion achieve unprecedented unity. Initially placing hope in humanity's nuclear arsenal seemed promising; however everyone understood well that nuclear weapons would wreak devastating havoc on Earth’s surface—even if humanity could win such battles, it would come at an unsustainable cost. A new defense plan became urgent. 0

Soon after, two officially recognized plans gained majority support from the United Nations: China-led “Southern Gate” plan focusing on Asia-Pacific development and Japan-led “Ocean's Light” plan involving NATO and EU cooperation. 0

Due to geographical advantages, humanity's “Ocean's Light” plan chose an independent artificial island located in Japan Sea for construction purposes—this island would host several concealed gamma-ray guided cannons along with landing platforms facilitating rapid mobilization of reinforcements within minimal timeframes—despite uncertainty about where battles would ultimately occur on Earth; similar landing platforms had already begun construction worldwide under American military bases’ leadership so that once conflict erupted supporting forces could reach battlefields swiftly via these platforms. 0

"Look ahead!" said Lu Sha, nudging an engrossed An Xiaotian. 0

Ahead appeared what seemed like an impromptu meeting where seven or eight individuals dressed in splash-proof work coats gathered around a woman. As soon as they entered alongside General Jiang,An Xiaotian realized he couldn't understand what she was saying until she turned towards them smilingly bowing her head while gesturing amicably—at which point,Lu Sha whispered into his ear: "Her name tag says she's from Japan." 0

“将軍、あなたの後ろには天下を震撼させる栄星人戦士がいますか? 顔が若いですね。 やっぱりこの世界は前途有望な若者が必要だ!(General, do you have the legendary Eiseijin warriors behind you? You look so young. Indeed, this world needs promising young people!)” The Japanese woman gazed at both An Xiaotian and Lu Sha with admiration while playfully tossing her air bangs aside. 0

“She admires you,” explained General Jiang. “This is technical advisor Matsushima Riko sent by Japan specializing in armed technology guidance for ‘Xuan Nu’ aerospace fighter jets.” 0

“Sister, do you speak Chinese? Chinese?” asked Lu Sha while shaking hands with Matsushima Riko. “I haven’t read much; I don’t understand—heh heh.” 0
"Of course, otherwise, how could I be ordered to support your country?" Matsushima Riko's smile was very gentle. She appeared to be just over thirty, with a slightly plump figure that Lu Sha could only dream of. Her respectful demeanor caused Lu Sha's preconceived notions from history books to undergo a complete transformation. 0

"Heroes, please look at the ten o'clock direction," Matsushima Riko said, her palms pressed together to guide their attention. "That is the Xuan Nu Aerospace Fighter from the Southern Gate Project, the only completed unit." 0

The Xuan Nu Aerospace Fighter looked incredibly light, but compared to the White Emperor Fighter Jet, the most significant difference was that the Xuan Nu was much closer to contemporary fighter jets. Its mechanical feel and modular construction were very evident, featuring X-shaped wings with a longer pair on top. The underside of the wings had a row of neatly arranged protrusions, clearly storage compartments for aerial combat weapons. An Xiaotian noticed that the Xuan Nu had five thruster nozzles—three at the rear of the fuselage and two mounted on the sides of the lower pair of wings. 0

"The Xuan Nu is unmanned and requires someone to control it from behind," Matsushima Riko explained. "This is also why the Xuan Nu appears so agile; it doesn't need to be as large as the White Emperor. The space saved has been maximized for use, with each module equipped with a micro supercomputer capable of performing one hundred billion calculations per second. Its individual combat capability in the air is unmatched by any fighter jet. Our ideal tactic is for the White Emperor to control the battlefield while the Xuan Nu engages in close combat. When necessary, the Xuan Nu can also act as a missile for a suicide attack." 0

Lu Sha gazed at the dark red Xuan Nu Aerospace Fighter below, her jaw dropping as she rested her chin on her arm leaning against the railing. A gust of wind suddenly swirled up from below; it was the technicians conducting another round of live testing on the Xuan Nu after receiving Matsushima's advice. The wind blew away the airbag that had obstructed Lu Sha's view, and in her eyes reflecting a halo, the engine of the Xuan Nu roared to life. The thrusters emitted blazing blue flames that roasted the incoming wind, and its X-shaped wings began folding back rapidly until the entire aircraft resembled a kite. 0

"Brother Xiaotian, we will definitely win," Lu Sha said softly as she edged closer to An Xiaotian, her fingertips just a few centimeters from his fist, yet she dared not get any closer. 0
