July 28th. 0

Noon. 0

The blazing sun hung high in the sky. 0

A bloodied pig burst through a window, leaping out from the second floor of a residential building. Accompanied by the sound of shattering glass, the pig landed heavily on the street, letting out a heart-wrenching scream. Covered in blood, it did not pause, struggling to regain its footing before bolting away. 0

This pig weighed about one hundred forty pounds, and as it ran, its body shook violently. 0

It left behind a trail of "red silk," a long streak of blood on the road. 0

For the citizens of Dragon City, a bustling metropolis, they consumed pork but had never seen a pig run. 0

Especially not a blood-soaked one that was fleeing. 0

What had this pig encountered? A moral decline? Or a distortion of humanity? 0

As everyone pondered this perplexing scene, a figure jumped down from the shattered window. 0

It was a thirty-year-old man with unkempt hair and a scruffy beard, standing around five feet nine inches tall. He was thin, dragging heavy bags under his eyes, with dark circles that seemed to have been there since birth. At that moment, he wore a white casual shirt, though patches of blood had stained it significantly. 0

After hitting the ground, he rolled twice before struggling to stand up. 0

He chased after the bloodied pig in the distance. 0

A bystander heard him muttering to himself: “After taking Dilaudid and beating the victim, the blood loss accelerated. The victim is clearly agitated. The total blood volume in the victim's body is about three to four thousand milliliters. Given the victim's bleeding rate of forty milliliters per minute, in twenty minutes, the victim will either go into shock or die.” 0

“Fucking crazy.” 0

"Bystander" commented. 0

The pig seemed to have suffered inhumane abuse and only wanted to escape. However, a wall appeared before it, leaving it with no way out. Finally, it dashed onto the bustling street. 0

Taxi drivers on other routes heard a traffic update on the radio: According to driver Master Li, a runaway pig had charged onto the motor lane, causing traffic congestion on the southern section of Jinlun Road. Nearby drivers were advised to take a detour. 0

Drivers who had lived their whole lives had never heard of such a reason. After hearing the broadcast, they insisted on driving over to see for themselves. 0

Indeed, many people got out of their cars to watch the frightened domestic pig. It seemed utterly desperate, emitting loud cries that made the surrounding vehicles rattle. 0

Someone couldn't help but shout, "Zhu Bajie has gone mad! Where's Monkey King? Where's the Master?" 0

Then a man appeared. 0

This was the man chasing the pig, who pounced on it like a hunting dog. 0

The man and the pig rolled on the ground, each hitting the other. 0

Half an hour later, Dragon City Yuzhou District Substation received reports from the crowd: On the southern section of Jinlun Road, a man and a sow were engaged in a violent brawl, creating a bloody scene that was shocking. Both the man and the sow were injured to varying degrees, and the situation was difficult to control. 0

Upon receiving the report, Officer from Jinlun Road Police Station rushed to the scene. When they arrived, both man and pig were lying on the ground, panting heavily. They were covered in bruises, looking evenly matched in their struggle. 0

The police officer had never encountered a case of a man fighting a pig in his life. He turned to an older officer beside him. 0

"Old An, what do you make of this?" the young officer asked. 0

Old An scratched his head and paused to think. 0

Ginger is still spicy with age. Moments later, he placed handcuffs on the man and shackles on Sow. 0

"Fighting in public violates the Public Security Administration Punishment Law. I will take you back to the station for processing," Old An stated. 0

The man stood up, but his gaze remained fixed on Sow, muttering to himself as if calculating something. 0

"Take them away," Old An waved his hand. 0

Around them, some elderly women protested, "Officer, I can testify that this pig was the one that ran out and disrupted traffic first. This brave fellow acted in defense of justice, daring to fight against the dark forces. I suggest a strict punishment for this Sow, at least a month in confinement." 0

One man and one pig were locked in an interrogation room. 0

Officer Old An sized up the man, who was also sizing him up in return. 0

After a moment, the man spoke first, "If you keep being this silent, the Sow beside me won't hold out much longer. But I underestimated this Sow; it seems that a pig's vitality is much stronger than that of a human. In this situation, a person would go into shock in twenty minutes and definitely die within half an hour. This pig has held on for one hour, twenty-eight minutes, and twelve seconds—what an astonishing number! Perhaps my measurements were off, or perhaps this pig's desire to win is just too strong..." 0

The man cradled his head in his hands, vigorously rubbing his already disheveled hair. 0

Old An slapped the table and said, "You need to be quiet. Answer my questions when I ask them, got it?" 0

The man turned his head, his piercing gaze locked onto Old An. That look seemed capable of seeing through one's soul, making Old An feel uneasy. 0

Old An knocked on the table again. 0

But it was the man who spoke up. 0

"You took the bus to work today. You walked through Welcome Road directly to the police station. Before you brought me in here, you had just spoken with your son. He’s quite disobedient and struggling academically; he just finished his college entrance exams and you're worried about whether he’ll get into university. So you plan to pull some strings to arrange a school for him. Your relationship with your wife is strained; you're not divorced but living apart. You've lost faith in women but still yearn to start a new relationship." 0

Old An swallowed the "quiet" that was alive in his throat. 0

He carefully observed the man before him, unsure how the man had figured it out. Indeed, the man's deductions were almost spot on. 0

The man grinned, a polite smile devoid of emotion. "So if there's nothing else, I will be leaving." 0

Old An instinctively shook his head but remained silent behind the table. 0

The man knelt slightly on the ground, gently stroking the Sow, murmuring to himself, "It seems that no matter how similar the structures of humans and pigs are—be it organs or muscle tissues—they are ultimately two different species." 0

Watching this mumbling man, Old An's first thought was—he's insane. 0

The man turned his head. 0

"You’re curious about how I know your information, and you're also considering whether to call a doctor to check if I’m mentally ill. I can clearly tell you that I am not insane, and my IQ is at least fifty points higher than yours. Would you like to know how?" 0

Old An nodded. 0

"Then I’ll tell you, but you must let me go afterward," the man continued. "I’m in a hurry to return to my experiments." 0

Old An initially wanted to use all his authority to fine him or even apply for detention to suppress this man's arrogance, but what came out instead was: "After some critical education, you may leave." 0

"Take a good look at the yellow debris between your fingers; that’s from the bus handrail. And there’s dirt on the edges of your leather shoes. As far as I know, the only place nearby where roadwork is happening is Welcome Road, which is a shortcut to the police station. Your left ring finger has clear marks where a ring used to be, yet you aren’t wearing one. I suspect your relationship with your wife has deteriorated." 0

"Your shirt collar and cuffs are somewhat yellowed, but the rest is clean; you've washed them. However, you're not a patient person, so you wouldn’t bother to wash those areas specifically. As for why I know about your son, you repeatedly took out your phone while in the car and checked the same number multiple times—it belongs to someone important." 0

"Your phone's wallpaper is a picture of you and your son, missing his mother. This indicates that you have been separated from your wife for quite some time, and now your son is your only hope. So I understand why you’re so impatient with people. Am I right, Officer An Jinzhong?" 0

The man remained expressionless as he stood up, looking down at An Jinzhong. This made An Jinzhong instinctively tug at his collar, feeling as if the imposing figure before him could see right through the story behind him with just a glance. 0

"Did you check my information?" 0

An Jinzhong's voice was soft, yet he still couldn't believe that someone could analyze so much information simply by looking. 0

The man furrowed his brow slightly and glanced at the lifeless Sow on the ground. 0

"All of this is obvious. The first time I saw you, where would I have checked your information?" 0

He extended two fingers, tapping his own eyes before pointing at An Jinzhong. 0

"Observation, meticulous observation. Deduction, layered deduction. Speculation, evidence-based speculation. Yet, am I not correct?" 0

The man sat down across from An Jinzhong. 0

An Jinzhong coughed twice and said, "Even if everything you know comes from your observation, deduction, and speculation, how could you know my name just by looking? I've never told you my name, and you've never seen my police badge." 0

"Sorry, when I came in, I saw your photo hanging on the wall of the police station with your name written underneath it." 0

The man maintained a serious expression. "So I still have many things to do; I’ll leave if there’s nothing else." 0

At that moment, An Jinzhong seemed to remember his authority and prepared to backtrack. "According to the Public Security Administration Punishment Law, I have the right to impose a fine of two hundred yuan for your actions!" 0

There was nothing wrong with An Jinzhong's decision; given the man's behavior, such a penalty was justified. However, at this moment, An Jinzhong was merely trying to regain a bit of his dignity. 0

Faced with An Jinzhong's response, the man remained unfazed, as if nothing could surprise him. 0

"Then you can detain me; I have no money," the man said boldly. 0

An Jinzhong looked at the nervous man in front of him, momentarily unsure of what to make of him. 0

What a strange person; who exactly is he? 0

"Who are you, really?" An Jinzhong couldn't help but ask. 0

The man shrugged and replied, "My name is Jiang He, and I'm a patient." 0

An Jinzhong scratched his head. "A patient?" 0

Just then, the police hurriedly pushed open the door to the interrogation room. 0

The three of them exchanged glances. 0

"What happened?" An Jinzhong asked. 0

"A murder has occurred," both Jiang He and the police officer spoke simultaneously. 0
