I'm sorry, the update for today is finished. Last night, I suddenly received a call from a victim; his old father had just passed away, and they were still holding a vigil. There were some issues at the wake, so I went over in the middle of the night. The situation was resolved, but they were still uneasy, so I made an excuse to go home and catch up on the update. 0

When my master and the others had been singing for about a minute, there was still no movement on their side, but the surroundings began to stir. By the light of the moon, I vaguely saw several wandering souls quickly approaching from my side. Turning to look at Master Xiao's side, I couldn't help but laugh. There were even more over there—counting them, there were at least ten, and they were quite scattered. This would be enough for him to run around. 0

Wandering souls usually move at a leisurely pace; even after hearing the call of souls, they wouldn't hurry. "Can you not be so jumpy?" 0

I laughed heartily, gave Master Xiao a pat, and then asked, "What is the Hidden Soul Talisman used for?" 0

My master explained, "Literally speaking, it's used to hide souls. It is said that if this talisman is drawn on a funeral garment, it allows souls wearing such clothing to be invisible to those who come to collect them. This is an ancient method of Feng Shui. It's mostly lost now; I've only seen the runes before. As for the talismans and hand seals, I don't know much about them." 0

I asked my master if a funeral garment with a Hidden Soul Talisman could transform into the appearance of a Yin Chai once worn by a Spirit God. He told me, "Not necessarily. It can transform into any form—male or female, young or old, tall or short—but different transformation forms require different talisman cores. The drawing method is also very particular; it seems this knowledge has been lost. A few years ago, I saw it in a book of talismans at Wizard Master's house." 0

Wasn't Wizard Master Liu Bi's teacher? But he has already passed away. I wondered if he had taught Liu Bi this Hidden Soul Talisman. If he did, I would have to ask Liu Bi when I got back if this was an external method of Feng Shui that could be shared. If I learned this skill and found myself reluctant to leave this world when I grew old, I could use it to linger here and fulfill some wishes—that would be quite nice. 0

However, glancing at the Spirit God in the center of the Soul-Trapping Formation made me abandon that thought; its expression was quite forlorn and seemed unwilling to remain in this world. If using the Hidden Soul Talisman meant that I couldn't descend to the Underworld and had no companions to guide me down, wouldn't that mean I'd be cutting off my own path of reincarnation? Thinking of this made me ask my master if using it meant one couldn't go down anymore. My master nodded and said, "That's why this talisman is rather useless; no one wants to use it anymore." 0

"That's impressive! Can you turn into a rich beauty for us to see or maybe transform into a husky?" Master Xiao joked with the Spirit God in formation. 0

"Smack!" Master Pan slapped Master Xiao on the back of his head again and sternly said, "Can't you be serious for once?" 0

Master Xiao chuckled sheepishly and tightly closed his mouth while looking at Master Pan with a pitiful expression. I laughed again and said he deserved it. 0

Seeing us in such a relaxed atmosphere, the Spirit God began speaking again: "Masters, could you send me down? I'm completely lost and have no idea how to get where I'm supposed to go. I'm pretending to be a Yin Chai because I have no choice; I'm really hungry, and I know you're Taoists who might help me—that's why I've come here." 0

Master Pan expressed his concerns to Spirit God, who had initially nodded slightly but suddenly raised his head and asked, "What do you mean by our ordinary Merit and Blessings?" 0

"Yeah, what does that mean?" Master Xiao chimed in, trying to ingratiate himself. 0

"Uh, well, I was just joking. I actually know that having more Merit and Blessings can help me be reborn into a good family in my next life, living a carefree and happy life. But I really was just saying that; I'm not actually Yin Chai, and I don't need your Merit and Blessings," Spirit God stammered. 0

The master nodded and said, "Let's forget about it. However, Yin Chai knows you were impersonating it just now, so after you go down, you need to find Yin Chai and confess." 0

"Alright, alright, no problem. As long as I can go down," Spirit God nodded repeatedly, fearing any complications. 0

The master said, "Now take off that White Robe; we'll send you down." 0

Spirit God nodded and quickly removed the white robe he was wearing. With a flick of his hand, he tossed it away, and the white robe instantly transformed into a cloud of black powder that gradually dissipated into the air. Only a small amount of fine black ash remained on the ground. 0

Many of you might have noticed some inexplicable black powder-like substances appearing in your homes without knowing where they came from. After reading this, you should understand a bit more about it. But there's no need to be afraid; this merely indicates that a Wandering Soul has passed through your home. In fact, every house we live in has been visited by Spirit God; they don't linger but simply pass through. Moreover, every house has its own House God. 0

At this point, let me digress for a moment to share some information about House Gods—consider it a bit of trivia. However, don't be scared; if you're easily frightened, just think of me as rambling. 0

In every house, even newly built ones, the first occupants are not us but those entities I refer to as House Gods. Every house is not only inhabited by us but also by another friend from the spirit world. However, they are not what we typically think of as ghosts because they are not souls of the deceased. 0

What exactly they are has been partially recorded in an incomplete book about the Underworld that I once read. It mentioned that the House Gods in each home are actually those animals who have completed their reincarnation cycle in the animal realm before being reborn as humans. They take on human-like forms and are placed in households in Yangjian to live alongside humans to familiarize themselves with human ways of life. 0

These spirits are quite fragile and generally do not affect us living beings much. Once placed in Yangjian, they seek out their own residences—essentially the houses where we live. As long as the house is completed and some words of gratitude are spoken, they can hear them. 0

Thank you: “In the Rain Lotus” eleven flowers, “qq150819100136” one diamond, “Aoyou V” one cup of fine wine. Good night to all the gentlemen. 0
