I also bowed towards the door and then walked over, gently closing the large door of the Main Hall behind me. 0

Turning back, I noticed that beside Master Pan and my master, there was an indistinct figure sitting on a stool in the western corner. I knew it was Yin Chai who had arrived, and it seemed there was only one. 0

Returning to stand behind my master, Master Pan and my master simultaneously gestured with their palms towards the offerings on the altar and said, "Please." After that, I watched as Master Pan looked at my master, who then glanced at me and gave me a subtle signal. 0

I understood immediately and quickly turned my attention to Master Pan. 0

Before Yin Chai's arrival, my master had instructed that when Yin Chai partakes of the offerings, one must not look at him. Moreover, one cannot sit; this would be a sign of disrespect. Regardless of one's cultivation level or whether one can see Yin Chai, one must focus their gaze elsewhere. It is best to find a living person to look at instead. 0

About five minutes later, I saw Master Pan shift his gaze away from my master. I thought it should be about time. Only after both my master and Master Pan sat down did I dare to look directly at the stool in the west. 0

Unlike before, the shadow now appeared more solid than before, no longer so transparent. I could vaguely see some yellowish-white colors. Even so, I still couldn't discern any specific shape; it looked like a swirling mass of black and white mist intertwined. 0

My master spoke first: "Yin Envoy, we need you to come over for a moment. We have unfinished business to discuss." 0

He spoke in a particularly strange manner, somewhat like a dialect but not entirely so. It sounded a bit awkward, yet it didn't hinder my understanding of the general meaning. 0

"...." A more convoluted sound filled my ears; this was a language I completely couldn't comprehend. It was vastly different from our dialects, making it nearly impossible to grasp its meaning, and I couldn't even locate its source. It felt as if it were right beside me yet also far away. 0

I glanced at my master's expression and then at Master Pan's; they seemed to be listening intently. They understood it well. Later on, I learned that Yin Chai's speech was similar to how Spirit Gods manifest; if they want you to see something, you will definitely see it. If they don't want you to see something, even if it's right in front of you, you won't be able to perceive it. Thus, Yin Chai was deliberately making sure I couldn't hear. 0

Next, my master, Master Pan, and Yin Chai began a calm negotiation while I stood by in confusion. After several minutes of discussion, both Master Pan and my master's accents changed completely to match that of Yin Chai's. To me, it sounded entirely like a foreign language; I couldn't make heads or tails of it. 0

After about ten more minutes of what had been a peaceful negotiation began to escalate into something intense, causing me immense anxiety. What puzzled me even more was that my master and Master Pan started exchanging heated words with each other while Yin Chai's tone grew increasingly cold. 0

It frustrated me that I had no idea what they were talking about. 0

As the argument intensified, Master Pan finally couldn't hold back any longer and slammed his palm down on the altar in front of him before standing up abruptly. He continued speaking words that were incomprehensible to me. 0

With several cracking sounds, all twenty-one Incense sticks on the altar snapped simultaneously. My master also stood up abruptly with a grim expression and turned to me saying sternly: "You go away; go into the room." 0

His tone was extremely serious; I dared not defy him and turned to head towards his bedroom. Just as I turned around, a gust of cold wind swept past me from behind, accompanied by a deep voice that echoed in my ear: "Hmph, trying to leave?" 0

Master Pan and my master stepped forward, each holding a talisman, and without hesitation, they struck behind me. 0

I was a bit stunned by this sudden turn of events. Why were they already making a move? However, I quickly regained my composure, forming a Hand Seal with my hands. I pulled out a section of the Ink Fight Line tied with copper coins from my Cloth Bag and gave it a sharp tug behind me. Regardless of whether the Yin Chai was genuine or not, since my master had taken action, I certainly couldn't back down. 0

The chilling wind dissipated, and not far away, a human-shaped shadow slowly materialized. It was no longer just a wisp of mist; it was clearly identifiable as a figure. 0

"You insolent thing! You dare to make demands right away? As a lowly ghost messenger, we have treated you with respect, yet you still wish to take advantage!" Master Pan exclaimed angrily. He swiftly drew the Peach Wood Sword from the Cosmic Bag beside him and swung it vigorously while continuing, "Come on, don't act like you're in charge. Show us what you've got. Let's see if we're afraid of you." 0

As Master Pan prepared to charge forward, my master blocked him and said to the shadow, "Go summon the authoritative Yin Chai to come talk. You have no authority here; you're merely a lowly ghost messenger trying to extort us for all our Merit and Blessings. Who do you think you are?" 0

My master was evidently furious as well. Although I couldn't understand what the Yin Chai had said, judging by Master Pan's and my master's reactions, it was clear that the Yin Chai's demands were outrageous—asking for all our Merit and Blessings. Merit and Blessings were essential credentials for reincarnation and determined the quality of our next several lifetimes. How could a lowly ghost messenger dare to ask for such things? 0

I felt speechless about what was happening below; they had sent someone to stir up trouble. 0

Seeing Master Pan about to rush in, the dark shadow took two steps back and said something I could understand: "How bold! Attacking a Yin Chai? Just wait for the Underworld's cruel punishment." After saying this, it slowly faded from the room. Moments later, there was a violent shaking at the door before everything returned to calm. 0

Just as I was about to ask what was going on, the door to the Main Hall suddenly swung open. To my surprise, it was Aunt Wang. Hadn't she left? Why had she suddenly returned? 0

Aunt Wang entered the room and glanced at the broken incense on the table before saying, "That wasn't a real Yin Chai." 0

"What?" both my master and Master Pan asked in astonishment. I was even more confused; there was still a type of Yin Chai that my master and Master Pan couldn't identify? 0

Aunt Wang nodded and explained, "On my way down the mountain just now, I saw a ghost approaching here. I can assure you it wasn't a Yin Chai, which is why I came back. I waited outside for a while until it left before coming in to warn you. By the way, did it make any outrageous demands?" 0

Master Pan replied, "You bet! That bastard said we each had to lose three years off our Lifespan and wipe out all our Merit and Blessings. Isn't that robbery?" 0

My master took out an Ox Horn divination tool and began consulting it. After a moment, he put it away and said, "Indeed, the real authoritative Yin Chai hasn't arrived yet. Let's set up some defenses while we wait for the genuine Yin Chai." 0

Master Pan grumbled while preparing offerings, "I wondered why that scoundrel showed no respect for any Yin Chai protocols—spouting nonsense like that; turns out it's an imposter. But why couldn't we tell?" 0

That was exactly what I wanted to ask. Aunt Wang explained, "You rarely encounter Yin Chai, plus there are many types of them. And since you're all insiders in this field, most ghosts wouldn't dare approach you directly. So it's understandable that you didn't suspect anything; being fooled is quite normal." 0

I nodded in understanding while my master focused on organizing things and said, "Another lesson learned; thank you, Sister Wang." 0

"Aunt Wang" said, "You're welcome, but please be careful and don't get tricked again. It's late, I'm leaving now." 0

I glanced at the clock; it was already half past eleven. I said, "Aunt Wang, let me see you off." 0

"Master Pan" interjected, "You shouldn't go. If you run into the real "Yin Chai" on the way, it won't be easy to explain." After saying that, he shouted loudly towards the inner room, "Xiao X, Xiao X, come out and see Aunt Wang off." 0

There was no response from inside. I walked in to check, and "Master Xiao" was actually asleep with headphones on. I shook him awake and said, "Get up quickly; we need to see Aunt Wang home." 0

He rubbed his eyes in confusion and asked, "What happened to Aunt Wang? Didn't she go home a long time ago?" 0

"No, we just got played. Aunt Wang came to remind us out of kindness," I replied casually. 0

"Damn, what happened? Who tricked us?" Master Xiao hurriedly got out of bed, straightened his clothes, and stormed out of the bedroom with an imposing demeanor. 0
