"Alright then, but Daozhang, you mustn't spread the information inside. Is that clear?" the director pleaded. 0

I adjusted my Cloth Bag and replied, "Don't worry, Director. I'm not a tabloid journalist. Once he wakes up, I'll take him away, and you can rest well. By the way, remember to cooperate with him tomorrow to finish filming the burning of Joss Paper; that way, you'll understand all his wishes. This matter will be completely settled, and it will no longer concern you." 0

The director nodded blankly and said, "Okay, no problem." 0

As soon as I finished speaking, Liu Bi woke up—oh no, I should say Li Da Ye woke up. He even performed a fish leap and flipped over. Seeing someone of his age do such a thing left me speechless. The director looked at Li Da Ye with a wary gaze, afraid to speak. 0

Since the director remained silent, Li Da Ye chuckled and said, "Then it's settled. Tomorrow night we’ll film the burning of paper; everyone must be present. After filming, Li Da Ye will still be Li Da Ye. You all can continue your collaboration as usual; don’t let my presence complicate things for Li Da Ye. Otherwise, you’ll find out what the consequences are." 0

He was no longer acting; he spoke directly without any pretense. However, his candidness inadvertently exposed me; the director would surely realize we were in cahoots after thinking it over. 0

With that thought in mind, I unhesitatingly took out a talisman from my Cloth Bag and pretended to slap it on his chest. It was merely a Spirit Awakening Talisman and wouldn’t cause him any harm. I then whispered fiercely, "You wretched creature, stop babbling nonsense and come with me." He was clever enough to let out a shrill cry before lowering his head and shambling out the door like a zombie. 0

I bid farewell to the director and assured him to rest well before following Li Da Ye out. Just as I was closing the door, I heard the director mumble, "Wasn't it said that it couldn't be absolutely prevented?" Hearing this, I poked my head back in and replied, "That's because you released his resentment." After saying that, I closed the door and hurried after Li Da Ye. 0

We took the elevator down and exited the hotel, making our way back to the small guesthouse where Li Da Ye was staying. Neither of us spoke along the way. When we reached the entrance, I noticed Xiaolin loitering outside Li Da Ye's room. Upon seeing us return, Xiaolin nervously nodded at Li Da Ye before coming over to me and whispering, "Where have you two been? I've been trying to call but couldn't get through." 0

I pulled out my phone and said, "Sorry, it ran out of battery. We were working with the director; things are basically resolved now. Why did you come looking for me instead of getting some rest?" 0

Xiaolin cautiously glanced at Li Da Ye; he smiled back at him. Xiaolin seemed hesitant to speak further, clearly intimidated by Li Da Ye. I shot a sideways glance at Li Da Ye and said, "What are you staring at? Do you think this is all over? You attacked me for no reason; I haven't settled accounts with you yet." 0

Li Da Ye quickly interjected, "Brother Liu, don't be like that. I know I was wrong; I'll stop looking now and go back to my room so you two can chat." After saying this, he took out his key and entered his room. 0

"Brother Liu," Xiaolin whispered, "it seems like there are ghosts in Li Da Ye's room; there's clearly no one inside, yet the noises haven't stopped." 0

I said, "Yeah, that Little Ghost is still in the room. She can't find her brother; how can she not cause a fuss? Let's go in and take a look." With that, I walked towards Li Da Ye's room. 0

The door was not locked, just slightly ajar, and the light inside was dim. Li Da Ye lay quietly on the bed, seemingly asleep. The room was empty except for Li Da Ye; Liu Bi had surely already left his body but was just not visible to us. 0

"Come out, Liu Bi. Stop hiding," I said seriously. I really had no way to deal with Liu Bi, this Spirit God; his independent thinking was too strong, completely unlike what a Spirit God should be. Sometimes he could even lead me around by the nose. Of course, I knew he meant no harm. At least from what he said when leaving the director's room to protect Li Da Ye, it seemed his nature wasn't bad. 0

Xiaolin asked me, "Brother Liu, what are you talking about?" I replied, "It's Liu Bi, as in the dagger's 'bi,' that's the ghost's name. Liu Bi, if you don't come out now, I'll get rough!" With that, I reached into my Cloth Bag. 0

Suddenly, a Spirit God appeared right in front of Xiaolin and me; it was Liu Bi. After he emerged, he grinned and said, "Brother Liu is going to get rough? How rough?" Xiaolin initially jumped in surprise but then burst into laughter at Liu Bi's words. Was this guy a clown? 0

Xiaolin wasn't afraid of him because after taking form this time, he looked no different from an ordinary person—a young man in his twenties, fair-skinned and clean-cut. He was not scary at all; in fact, he looked somewhat handsome. Aside from being a bit pale, there was nothing unusual about him. 0

"Not very rough," I said as I tossed a handful of Cinnabar Ash at him. A Soul Binding Talisman hit him almost simultaneously. Then I quickly recited the Soul Binding Spell. Liu Bi froze and did not resist; in fact, he didn't have the ability to resist at all. He just stood there dumbfounded, not even given a chance to retort. I didn't know why I suddenly felt like hitting him, but I couldn't help wanting to show him who was boss. 0

With him immobilized before me, his expression turned sour as if he were holding back a breath that couldn't be released. If his face could change color, I thought it would turn eggplant purple. Xiaolin saw this scene and started to panic a little, weakly asking, "Brother Liu, what are you doing?" 0

I didn't respond but took out a length of Ink Fight Line and circled it around Liu Bi before making a Hand Seal to tie it into a live knot. Now Liu Bi couldn't escape. Just as I prepared to tear off the Soul Fixation Talisman from him, a shadow suddenly emerged from the bedside table and lunged directly at me. 0

It was that Little Female Spirit; seeing her brother being bullied made her want to rush over and defend him. 0

Xiaolin instinctively stepped back a bit while I ignored the Little Female Spirit and tore off the Soul Fixation Talisman from Liu Bi. Then I casually stuck it onto the rushing Little Female Spirit. She paused for a moment as her gaze began to fade; she was just a Living Soul and still a Little Girl—controlling her was very simple. One Soul Fixation Talisman was enough. 0

Once the Soul Fixation Talisman left his body, Liu Bi could speak again despite being bound by the Ink Fight Line and unable to move. As soon as he could talk, he hurriedly said, "Brother Liu! Brother Liu! Don't hurt my sister. She's weak right now and can't withstand the effects of the talisman." 0

I replied, "Don't worry; there's nothing harmful inside her. But you—if you keep acting up, you wanted to know how rough it could get? Well, take a look at how rough it is now." 0

Xiaolin began to chuckle at my question, looking like a silly passerby. 0

Liu Bi shot a glare at Xiaolin and said, "Even you dare to laugh?" 0

"Does he laugh because you can't take it?" I shot back at Liu Bi. 0

"No, no, no. Brother Liu, I wouldn't dare. I'm convinced, truly. I was wrong. I shouldn't have gone off-script in the director's room and tried to challenge your authority, making you spit blood—it's all my fault. I'll change, I promise," Liu Bi said, this time without any mischief, just a flurry of apologies. His voice was hurried, but every word was clear. 0

"Well, what now?" I asked. 0

"What do you mean what now? You should let me go! Look, it's almost dawn. Keeping me like this is practically a death sentence!" Liu Bi pleaded. 0

I laughed and said, "You were already dead; dying again wouldn't make much difference." With that, I began to untie the Ink Fight Line around him and recited a spell to break the binding. It was indeed getting close to dawn; it wasn't right to keep him tied up like that for long. Once he was free, he reached out to tear the Soul Binding Talisman off his sister. However, his fingers passed through the talisman as if it were air. 0

"I thought your skills were impressive; turns out they're not that great," I said as I tore the Soul Binding Talisman off the Little Female Spirit. She was freed and joyfully leaped into Liu Bi's arms. He patted her shoulder and reassured her, "Don't be afraid; your brother is here. These two brothers aren't bad people. There's nothing to worry about." His tone was filled with warmth and affection, resembling a gentle big brother. 0

It was now two in the morning; I had stayed up late to write this chapter and scheduled it for release. Sincere thanks to everyone for your votes. 0
