There is a village called Longmei Village on the Yingbin Road in Panyu. To put it nicely, it is famous for its animation and game industry, but in fact it is famous throughout the country for its production and sales of slot machines. Most of the slot machines are sold all over the country and even abroad. From this ancient and mysterious village. The reason why I want to talk about this matter is because I have dealt with two things in this village, and both of them are a bit special! There is an industrial park near Longmei Village called Tian'an Technology Park, which contains numerous large and small companies. For this reason, Longmei Village, like most Urban Village, has attracted a large number of migrant workers. . Many residents build four or five-story houses and rent them out as rental houses. Precisely because of the existence of these places, many young people who come out to work have a starting point for their careers. I believe that most of my friends who work outside have more or less experienced living in Urban Village, which is also a sign of success. The latter is a wonderful memory. So friends who are still in Urban Village, cherish the place where you are now. When your career is successful, you can tell your children about your various experiences of living and working hard in Urban Village. Wouldn’t it be a different experience? ? Due to the large population, mostly young people, everyone is young and energetic, and has a strong desire to satisfy their inner needs at every turn. Familiar and unfamiliar, lovers are not lovers. To put it bluntly, sometimes we can make an appointment with each other? It can trigger a happy relationship. I have to admit that this society is indeed a lot more open. It may not be convenient to rent a house by yourself, and hotels are too luxurious, so very cheap daily rental houses have appeared in many Urban Village. You can understand the day mentioned here as a verb in Host, ranging from six to eighty yuan a piece. Night. It's very cheap and the facilities are adequate, but the sanitary conditions are worrisome. It is deeply loved by the majority of young people. The commission I received this time was a Victim who owns a daily rental house. Her surname is Chen. Let’s call her Sister Chen for the time being. The thing is like this, Sister Chen’s Inn is near the pond in Longmei Village, and there is a century-old ancestral hall nearby called Zhang Clan Ancestral Hall. From the window of a room on the 4th floor of Inn, you can just see the door of Zhang Clan Ancestral Hall. This incident happened to happen in this room! Sister Chen said: Several pairs of guests have reported that there are abnormal noises in that room at night. Sometimes when you get up in the middle of the night, you can see a figure squatting next to the bed and pulling the quilt. Some people also say that they put their shoes next to the bed when they go to bed at night, but they are by the door when they wake up in the morning. Some people even say it is exaggerated. . . . . . Sister Chen stopped abruptly, I asked what to say? She said: Several people said that the paper towels they used to wipe up after finishing their errands were thrown on the ground, and they were gone when they woke up in the morning! My heart was churning, and I quickly asked if anything had happened to those who lived there. Sister Chen said I don’t know, it’s probably nothing, and no one has looked for me. I said: Do you have any strange feeling when you go to clean the house? She said no. I said go, take me to see it. . . . . Sister Chen led me up to the 4th floor. The corridor was dim and had a faint musty smell. My nose is very sensitive and I can often smell all kinds of strange smells. Maybe it was from my childhood and Second Master It's because there are too many corpses. I forgot whether the room was 402 or 403. I just felt a loud bang in the room after opening the door. Sister Chen jumped at that time. Looking at me hurriedly. I said it was okay. Maybe the magic weapon I was carrying scared it. Sister Chen You wait for me outside, or you go down and do your work while I take a look inside. She nodded and walked quickly. I closed the door with my backhand and looked at the layout of the room. It was a very ordinary hotel with a small area. When I entered the door, I saw a dressing table. Opposite the dressing table was a bed, and next to it was a table. On top of the table There is a TV, that is to say, the dresser and the TV are facing a bed. There is a small bedside table next to the bed. On the other side is a sliding door. Outside the door is a small balcony. On the right side of the balcony is bathroom. 0
After closing the door, I sprinkled incense ash by the door and the sliding window, then pulled a line of Ink Fight Line to prevent it from escaping. I took out my compass to search for its location, but strangely, the compass showed no signs of abnormality. 0

From the strange noise when I entered, it was clear that there was definitely a Spirit God in the room, and I had sensed something unusual with the compass at that moment. Yet now, there was complete silence. Had it evaporated? 0

I sat down on the bed, puzzled, and looked up to see my reflection in the mirror facing the bed. It startled me. 0

What the hell! The handsome figure in the mirror was grinning eerily while I wore a serious expression. 0

Although I had dealt with many bizarre occurrences before, seeing something like this reflected back at me was a bit too much to handle! 0

Damn it! Unable to contain myself, I cursed and grabbed a pillow, hurling it at the mirror. 0

The pillows in the inn were thin and light; the mirror didn’t suffer any damage, just swayed slightly. Looking back at my reflection, everything seemed normal again. 0

I let out a long sigh and began to think about how to deal with this situation. 0

My master once said that mirrors are favored by spirits because they represent a completely different world that is opposite to our reality. 0

When you look into a mirror and raise your right hand, you will see it raising its left hand. 0

Moreover, when you are alone at midnight and stand close to a mirror, staring into your own eyes for an extended period, you may begin to see anger reflected back. You will find yourself increasingly unfamiliar with the person inside, even growing more frightened as you continue to look. 0

Sometimes, when you take pictures through a mirror, you might capture something unexpected. 0

For those of us in this profession, mirrors can be quite troublesome because once something from the spirit realm enters a mirror, you cannot simply force it out. You can remove or break the mirror, but that doesn’t solve the problem; no matter where you throw it away, it will still come back. A moral practitioner would never resort to such actions. Without a doubt, I am that kind of handsome, ethical person with exceptional skills! 0

After half an hour of deep thought without coming up with a good solution, I pulled out my phone to call my master. After a moment's consideration, I put it down again; I really didn’t want to be a helpless chick under my master’s wing. If I kept seeking help for everything, when would I truly excel in this field? 0

Lost in thought and feeling hungry, I glanced at my watch and realized it was mealtime. I hurried downstairs because I never skimp on treating my stomach well. On my way down, I ran into Sister Chen and mentioned that things were a bit complicated and not resolved yet; she should avoid that room for now. I would be back shortly. 0

In Urban Village, one can often find authentic local delicacies—cheap prices, genuine flavors, and generous portions. I remembered stopping at a roadside stall called Dragon's Delight or something similar; I ordered a serving of spicy fried rice noodles along with two tea eggs and a bowl of chilled sago dessert. The fried rice noodles were incredibly flavorful for just four yuan. They had everything in them—perfectly balanced texture—not too dry or wet, not too oily or bland—much better than what hotels served. It was honestly the best fried rice noodles I had ever tasted. Since then, I've made it a point to drive there every couple of months for another serving of those noodles; although now they’ve raised the price to six yuan. 0

After filling my stomach, I prepared to return to the Inn. As I passed by a pharmacy, I noticed a poster outside with bold letters proclaiming "Erectile Dysfunction Pills!" 0

Suddenly, a thought struck me. I remembered Sister Chen mentioning that several customers had reported their toilet paper mysteriously disappearing after use. I immediately understood—I had encountered a Suction Demon. 0

In the book, the Suction Demon is referred to as the Eater of Essence Ghost, also known as a Succubus. These Suction Demons are spirits of lustful individuals who, after death, did not suffer in hell but instead lingered on Earth as ghostly entities. 0

Let me explain a bit about Succubi. They possess Five Powers (Divine Eye, Divine Ear, Divine Feet, Fate Communication, and Heart Communication). This means that as soon as you have any lewd thoughts, they can sense it and come close to you. 0

When we engage in lewd acts (especially when we take matters into our own hands), they watch and wait nearby. Some even go so far as to utter words of praise, tempting us. This is why once a habit of self-satisfaction is formed, it becomes hard to break free. Afterward, they feast on male essence and female impurities to sustain their ghostly forms. 0

However, according to my master's writings, the Eater of Essence Ghost does not consume physical male essence or female impurities; it only absorbs the inner essence, which is invisible to the naked eye. Aside from consuming essence, they do not cause any harm or frighten people. So why were the tissues disappearing? 0

There could only be one reason: this was not an ordinary Eater of Essence Ghost. Or rather, there was only one Spirit God in the room. 0

My heart tightened. If there was only one Eater of Essence Ghost, but there was another entity present, I would need help. 0

Upon returning to the Inn, I began to think of ways to deal with this situation. Succubi are relatively easy to handle; all I need to do is summon them using a ritual array to trap them, burn some Incense and Paper Money, and recite spells to guide them away. However, I had no idea what kind of spirit had caused such a commotion or what its intentions were. Regardless of its origin, I needed to draw it out from the mirror and contain it, which would require assistance—not from living companions but from the unique Five Chaotic Spirits of folk Daoist practices! 0

Let me introduce the Five Chaotic Spirits, also known as the Five Path Demons or Five Chaotic Spirits. Their role is to manage the five paths within the ritual hall and eliminate evil spirits and monsters for their master. 0

Folk practitioners in Xiangzhong are quite familiar with this concept. It is one of the primary methods used by most folk Daoist sects for ghost hunting. To put it simply, many practitioners who reach a certain level can summon these specialized spirits for capturing ghosts; they are not ordinary Yin soldiers. Of course, everything has its good and bad sides. The Five Spirit Generals can be divided into righteous and evil spirits. The righteous ones capture ghosts and eliminate evil without causing harm. 0

However, some Daoists seek personal gain by directing the Five Spirit Generals to attack acquaintances and then helping others exorcise evil spirits for profit. In rural Hubei during the 1990s, such corrupt practices were common. Many people would inexplicably fall under evil influences that seemed impossible to cure until they consulted shamans or Daoists who could resolve their issues overnight. Of course, I'm not saying that all misfortunes are orchestrated; that's just a small part of it—after all, in a vast forest, there are all kinds of birds. The overall environment of Daoism remains quite good. 0

I recall my master's notes stating that a vessel can only be possessed by one spirit at a time. Since I couldn't detect anything with my compass, I assumed there must be two spirits in the room—two vessels. Besides the mirror, the only other vessel could be the television! 0

This made things simpler; I just needed to trap one of them and send away the other before dealing with the one that was trapped. 0

But then another question arose: what was in the mirror and what was in the television? 0

As previously mentioned, Succubi do not create disturbances that frighten people; yet something in the mirror startled me unexpectedly. Without a doubt, the Succubus must be inside the television while that malevolent Spirit God resides within the mirror. 0

Determined, I sprinkled a thin layer of incense ash on the surface of the mirror and drew a Spirit Binding Symbol in the center. (I could have skipped the ash, but I really didn't want to see it using my reflection to scare me.) Then, I flicked the Ink Fight Line and lit two red candles. With that, it was temporarily trapped. 0

After finishing, it was nearly 9 PM. Just then, the doorbell rang... 0

Curiously, I opened the door to find Sister Chen standing outside. She noticed the red candles burning in my room and asked me what was going on with a slightly trembling voice. I told her that I would be staying here for the night and that she shouldn't worry about me or let anyone disturb me. She nodded and turned to leave. 0

I closed the door with a bitter smile and secured the Ink Fight Line by the door again. I began to ponder how to lure out the Succubus. The Host had mentioned before that Succubi possess Five Powers, allowing them to sense lewd thoughts, and this was the only method I knew that would work. However, there was a problem: I was alone in the room. How could I emit lewd thoughts? In this environment, it was impossible for me to conjure such thoughts out of thin air. It was even less likely that I could open WeChat and shake my phone to summon a girl; that would surely scare her away. Besides, the Host wasn't someone who would do such things casually. But if I wanted to draw it out, this was all I had. 0

Truly, one must bow their head under the eaves. After an hour of intense mental struggle, I turned off the lights and lit another pair of red candles. The Host tearfully reached down... and pulled out... 0

I pulled out my phone and began browsing through the long-unopened Tokyo Hot series, vaguely recalling it was a story set in a ramen shop... (This part is omitted for brevity.) 0

After watching for nearly forty minutes, perhaps it sensed my lewd thoughts because amidst the flickering red candlelight, I saw the compass needle begin to spin. I let out a long sigh of relief. Once I confirmed its position, I excitedly dropped my phone and grabbed a handful of Grave Soil that I had hidden away, scattering it on the ground to anchor it there. I think I even heard my phone hit the edge of the bed. At this point, I couldn't care less about my phone; I began chanting spells and drawing symbols in one breath. Just as the compass needle was about to stabilize, I cleverly added: "All forms are empty, all things are illusory; what you see may not be real—Urgent Command!" 0

In my moment of desperation, I hoped this nonsensical incantation would convey my meaning. 0

After sending away the Succubus, feeling somewhat exhausted, I lay on my bed contemplating what to do next when suddenly I remembered my beloved phone. It wasn't much—just a crack on the screen—but that didn't matter; the Tokyo Hot series was still playing, so I hurriedly turned it off. Looking up at the mirror, like a thief, I slipped my phone into my pocket. 0

Oh right! To add a note about the Succubus: it's harmless; it merely feeds on essence. The reason I wanted to send it away was so it could reunite with its Three Souls and reincarnate instead of wandering in this world suffering. 0

I raised my hand to check—it was already 11 PM. If I wanted to summon the Five Spirit Generals, now was the best time. 0

I felt ashamed; despite being humble in Daoist Techniques as a Host, the Five Chaotic Spirits I could summon were only of medium strength—Zhang Wuleng's troops (from Meishan School of Magic)—and not particularly powerful either. Moreover, if any of the Five Spirit Generals were injured and didn't receive proper care from their summoner, they might retaliate against me. So every time I summoned them, I felt particularly anxious; for safety's sake, I'd first use a Water Bowl to glimpse their general appearance before summoning them. 0

This time was no exception; after removing the Spirit Binding formation and cleaning the mirror, I began using the Water Bowl to reveal their form. To my surprise, it showed a child—about ten years old—no wonder they were so mischievous. 0

I took out a piece of Joss Paper and wrote down an incantation. Just as I was about to chant it and burn it (the steps for summoning Five Spirits), cracks slowly appeared in the mirror. Alarmed, I grabbed the Ink Fight Line blocking the sliding door to trap whatever came from the mirror when suddenly my reflection burst into laughter without making any sound—and then the mirror shattered! 0

It cleverly slipped through where I'd just removed the Ink Fight Line. 0

Regret filled me; I realized too late that I'd acted too hastily without considering everything carefully. If only I hadn't removed that Ink Fight Line in desperation! Even if it had come out of the mirror, there would have been no way for it to escape. 0

I watched helplessly as the mischievous Little Spirit slipped away right under my nose. In a panic, I lit the Joss Paper meant to summon the Five Chaotic Spirits. With a hiss, an armored Spirit appeared before me, but it was of no use since the Water Bowl could no longer pinpoint the Little Spirit's exact location. 0

It had run far away! 0

Seeing that the Water Bowl showed no familiar response from the Spirit God, the Five Chaotic Spirits expressed their own anger and began to swirl around me. 0

The Five Chaotic Spirits were not mere servants of the master; they were bound by a contractual relationship. Each summoning required a certain Reward. Not only did I have to treat them to fine food and drink, but I also had to burn a sufficient amount of Joss Paper and incense. If any of the Five Chaotic Spirits were injured, the cost would double. 0

However, this was not a significant issue; it was just that summoning them for nothing was a great disrespect and a serious taboo in calling forth spirits. 0

After swirling around me for about a minute, the Five Chaotic Spirits circled behind me and began to whip me with their lashes. I knew I could only endure it. 0

The sensation felt like undergoing surgery under anesthesia—there was no pain, but I could feel each strike, tingling and sore. The result left no scars or marks; it only drained my Yang Qi, making me increasingly fatigued. 0

During the whipping, I could not make a sound. To complain would mean inviting their wrath; if the Five Chaotic Spirits sensed my complaints, they might abandon me for another master. As a Host with low Daoist Techniques, managing to attract even a medium-level Five Chaotic Spirit was already considered a treasure. 0

The whipping lasted nearly three minutes before it stopped. By then, I was utterly exhausted, sitting on my bed as I watched the Five Chaotic Spirits float in front of me. 0

I began to chant an incantation, roughly meaning: This time it was my fault; tomorrow night at Midnight, I will treat the great spirit to a feast as an apology and seek its forgiveness. The Five Chaotic Spirits flickered for a moment before slowly disappearing, indicating that they had forgiven me. 0

I hurriedly took out some paper and drew a talisman to dispel Yin toxins, burned it, and drank the resulting water. My eyelids grew heavy as I collapsed onto my bed and fell into a deep sleep. 0

When I awoke, it was nearly eleven in the morning. Reflecting on what had happened last night filled me with mixed emotions: first forcing out lustful thoughts that summoned a Succubus, then carelessly allowing the Little Spirit to escape, only to be whipped by my own Five Chaotic Spirits. Truly, it was a case of "not achieving what one intended." 0

I knew that if my master found out about this incident, he would surely scold me harshly and might even require me to return to my training. 0

But if I didn’t say anything, he would never know. Ultimately, it came down to my lack of skill and experience. It seemed I needed to practice my techniques diligently. 0

As I reflected on my mistakes while tidying up the aftermath, I made sure to clean my room thoroughly—this was part of my professional habit. I always cleaned up after rituals myself and never troubled others. It wasn’t that I couldn’t; rather, I didn’t want to. This was also a sign of respect towards those spirits. After placing an exorcism talisman beneath the sink on the balcony in that room, I locked the door and went downstairs. The reason for placing it there was to avoid alarming any tenants; many people would be frightened if they saw it. 0

Downstairs, I ran into Sister Chen having lunch. Upon seeing me come down, she quickly put down her bowl and chopsticks and asked how I was doing. 0

I said it should be fine; the only issue was that the mirror was broken, so you might need to replace it. Also, I put a talisman under the sink, so please don’t remove it while cleaning. 0

Sister Chen nodded. Since it was a friend’s introduction, she didn’t suspect anything further and asked me how much it would cost. 0

Because Little Spirit had run away, I felt that the matter wasn’t completely resolved. I told Sister Chen, “Let’s wait three months; if there are no issues by then, I’ll pay.” Then I informed her of the amount. 0

She nodded gratefully and asked if I wanted to have a meal. I declined, saying I needed to rush back to prepare for the big dinner that evening. 0

The big dinner I mentioned was, of course, the apology feast for the Five Chaotic Spirits. The essential dishes for an apology feast are Roast Suckling Pig and roast chicken. 0

At the Farm Stay I knew of, these items had to be ordered in advance, and they didn’t accept phone reservations. 0

That Farm Stay was called Wu Duo Jue; it seemed to be owned by a boss. The flavors were authentic, and it was a place I often visited for food. Later on, I found other decent Farm Stays as well. The food was quite good. Friends from Panyu should give it a try; their roast chicken banquet is excellent, though I'm not sure if they still sell Roast Suckling Pig. 0

The matter with the runaway Little Spirit resurfaced a month later, and I sent it away in a very special way. 0

It was a deeply moving story with a tragic process that still tugs at my heart when I think about it now. It’s heart-wrenching, and with my limited writing skills, I’m unsure how to describe it. Over the years in this profession, this incident has been the most unforgettable. 0

When I have time on a quiet night, I'll take the opportunity to organize my thoughts and strive to write about this experience in one go. 0

Supreme Taiyi Savior of Suffering. 0
