In less than a minute, we had been swept down by the current, and the boat finally came to a steady stop above the water's surface.
There were four of us on the boat: Mingyue, myself, Jin Zhongyun, and Xiao Juan. We all lay flat on the boat, only daring to stand up once it stabilized.
I glanced around, but everything was shrouded in darkness. Xiao Juan, feeling a bit scared, said, "Lin Hao, what should we do? We've lost contact with your master and Uncle Zhou."
I furrowed my brow, feeling even more anxious than Xiao Juan. In this pitch-black cave, without the flashlight, there would be no sign of light at all; it felt eerie everywhere.
But when I shone the flashlight ahead, it startled us once again.
A coffin had appeared in the center of the land before us, while both sides remained filled with flowing water. Yet along the edges of the water, just like when we first entered the cave, there were black coffins placed at intervals.
In such a dark place, combined with those coffins, it made the atmosphere even more chilling.

I asked, “Do you even know how to catch ghosts?”
She glanced at me and replied, “I don’t know, but don’t you and she know how?”
I was at a loss for words. How could she remain so calm if she didn’t understand? It was truly frustrating.
At that moment, Jin Zhongyun suggested, “Let’s pull the boat up and walk from above.”
Xiao Juan and I looked at the dark coffins lined up on either side. Walking from the water would bring us closest to those coffins, which was indeed unsettling.

It was the very ghost that had just vanished. Although fear gripped me, Gu Chen and Zhou Zhen were nowhere to be found. If we wanted to survive, we had to rely on ourselves.
Xiao Juan was caught off guard, and as the ghost lunged toward us, I stood up without hesitation and shouted, "Get away from me!"
I didn't know where my courage came from at that moment, but when I reached for the talisman, I froze—there was none on me.
At that moment, Mingyue, who had appeared indifferent and silent until now, suddenly sprang to her feet. A dagger materialized in her hand, and with a swift motion reminiscent of Gu Chen's actions at the Mu Family yesterday, she made a quick slash.
A line of crimson blood appeared in her palm as she swiftly retracted the dagger. With a forceful flick of her bloodied hand, she sent it forward.
Then I saw a blood sword shoot directly at the ghost without deviation.
White smoke billowed up, accompanied by a wretched scream. It was as if the ghost had spontaneously combusted, vanishing into thin air in an instant.
This time it didn’t just hide; it truly disappeared, its soul scattered.
I looked at Mingyue in surprise and asked, "Didn't you say you couldn't catch ghosts?"
Even Xiao Juan was stunned by her sudden display of power, left speechless.
She glanced at us with indifference and replied, "I may not know how to catch ghosts, but I know how to destroy them."
After saying that, she ignored us and turned to walk ahead.
Jin Zhongyun looked at us with a hint of pride and said, "Mingyue hails from the Unloading Gate lineage. Her Killing Intent is inherently strong, and her blood embodies the essence of Killing Intent. Ordinary Wandering Spirits and Wild Ghosts cannot withstand it."
With that, he too disregarded us and hurried after Mingyue.
I exchanged a glance with Xiao Juan, feeling somewhat speechless. However, hearing Jin Zhongyun's words eased my mind considerably, and I no longer felt as tense as before. I quickly followed along.

"Danger," she replied succinctly without turning her head.
But just after those three words fell, a heavy crashing sound echoed around us, and instantly, both Xiao Juan and I turned pale with fear.
