Li Ming took a deep breath and plunged his sword into the center of the formation. Suddenly, the ground began to shake violently, sinking at a speed that left no time for reaction. The massive statue in the center of the square started to crumble, fragments flying everywhere with a thunderous roar. It seemed that the statue sensed an attempt to disrupt the formation and activated a massive trap.
"Be careful!" Chen Yao exclaimed, fear and concern flashing in her eyes.
The soldiers staggered, struggling to maintain their balance as many were knocked down by the tremors. They hurriedly clung to the ground that had not yet collapsed, trying to steady themselves and avoid falling into the suddenly appearing chasms. The surrounding buildings shook as well, debris and dust raining down, instilling a sense of terror and pressure.
Li Ming felt a powerful backlash, his body lifted off the ground before crashing heavily onto a nearby stone. Pain surged through him, but he knew this was not the time to stop. Gritting his teeth, he forced himself to stand up, determination flashing in his eyes.
"Li Ming, are you okay?" Chen Yao shouted from solid ground, her voice filled with urgency and worry.
"I'm fine!" Li Ming replied with difficulty, his voice trembling from pain, yet his gaze remained resolute. "We have to keep going; this formation must be destroyed!"
The tremors did not cease; instead, they intensified. Fragments of the statue scattered everywhere, making the environment even more perilous. The soldiers struggled to keep their footing, trying to stay alert amidst the chaos.
"Everyone hold steady; we cannot retreat!" Chen Yao shouted loudly, her voice acting like a calming balm, instilling immense courage and resolve in the soldiers.
Li Ming took a deep breath, striving to concentrate. He understood that this trap was set to protect the Teleportation Array, but he had to find a way to destroy it. Gripping his sword tightly once more, determination flickered in his eyes.
"Chaos Pearl, help me!" Li Ming whispered as he focused all his Spiritual Energy into the sword.
As he infused his Spiritual Energy, the Chaos Pearl began to vibrate again, emitting a brilliant light. That power surged into the sword like a tidal wave, sharpening and strengthening its blade. Li Ming felt a tremendous force flowing within him, filling him with unwavering determination and confidence.
"This is our only chance!" Li Ming silently reminded himself as he swung his sword toward the critical point of the formation.
As the blade cleaved through the ground, the power of the Chaos Pearl was released simultaneously, creating a powerful wave of energy. This energy wave rapidly spread outwards, dispersing all surrounding evil forces. The formation began to tremble; its red light flickered more intensely as if resisting this force.
"Hold on, Li Ming!" Chen Yao shouted beside him, her gaze filled with immense trust and anticipation.
Standing at the center of the formation with his sword deeply embedded in the ground, Li Ming's forehead was drenched in sweat, yet his gaze remained unwavering. He knew this was their only opportunity and they had to give it their all. As he continued his assault, the earth shook violently beneath him; it felt as if it were trying to swallow him whole.
"I cannot retreat... I cannot give up..." Li Ming silently urged himself as he gripped the sword hilt tightly and poured more Spiritual Energy into it. The Chaos Pearl on his wrist vibrated violently, radiating intense light as that power surged into the sword like an unstoppable tide.
The ground around him began to crack open, forming deep fissures from which red light burst forth, exuding an aura of malevolence. Li Ming sensed that force resisting him but never once considered giving up. Taking a deep breath, he concentrated all his willpower on controlling the Chaos Pearl while continuously diminishing the formation's power.
"Li Ming, be careful!" Chen Yao shouted from a distance, her voice filled with worry and tension.
Li Ming knew that this was not the time to back down; he had to persevere. He gritted his teeth, forcing himself to ignore the chaos and danger surrounding him. He felt the Chaos Pearl absorbing the malevolent energy around them, a pressure building within him, but he understood that this was their only chance.
The ground trembled more violently, fissures widening as if the entire earth was shaking. Standing on the fractured surface, Li Ming felt the ground beneath him sinking, yet he had no thoughts of retreat.
"Keep going... I can't stop now!" Li Ming told himself, determination flashing in his eyes.
The light of the Chaos Pearl grew ever brighter, the energy vortex expanding, drawing in all the evil forces around. Li Ming felt that power flowing within him; he knew this was a monumental challenge, but he had to overcome it.
"No matter what, we must succeed!" Li Ming silently vowed, gripping the hilt of his sword tightly as he continued to strike at the key points of the formation.
With each slash, the formation emitted a deep buzzing sound, red light flickering as if it were making one last struggle. But Li Ming remained unfazed; he concentrated all his intent, channeling the power of the Chaos Pearl into his sword, relentlessly dismantling the structure of the formation.
"Li Ming, hold on! We're coming to help you!" Chen Yao shouted loudly, a glimmer of hope and encouragement in her eyes.
Li Ming felt the support of his companions; his heart swelled with strength and courage. He knew that no matter what difficulties they faced, unity would allow them to overcome anything.
"We will definitely succeed!" Li Ming declared loudly, his voice unwavering amidst the tremors.
Finally, with a powerful strike from Li Ming, the power of the Chaos Pearl peaked.
The formation was completely destroyed, and the dark red light faded away. However, at that moment, the ground suddenly collapsed entirely, plunging downward to form a massive pit. Caught off guard, Li Ming's body fell with the ground; he cried out and quickly reached for a nearby earthen wall in an attempt to prevent himself from falling.
"Ah!" Li Ming clung tightly to a corner of the wall, his nails nearly embedding into the soil. He felt an immense pull trying to drag him into the dark abyss below, fear and anxiety flooding his mind.
The pit resembled an endless chasm; in its darkness seemed to lurk countless eyes watching him, exuding a cold and malevolent aura. Li Ming's arms trembled under the tremendous pressure; his muscles tightened as he nearly lost strength.
"Li Ming, hold on!" Chen Yao yelled from above, her voice brimming with concern and urgency. She knelt at the edge of the collapse, reaching out in an attempt to grasp Li Ming's hand, but the distance was simply too great.
"I... I will hold on!" Li Ming gritted his teeth, striving to keep himself awake and resolute. He took a deep breath and concentrated all his strength in an effort to pull himself upward.
The soldiers rushed over, trying to help Li Ming. They threw ropes with all their might, but the collapsing ground made everything incredibly difficult.
"Don't give up! We will save you!" Chen Hao shouted loudly, his voice filled with encouragement and determination.
Li Ming felt the support of his comrades, filling him with strength and courage. He knew that no matter how tough it got, he had to hold on.
"Quick, throw the rope over!" Chen Yao commanded the soldiers loudly. A few soldiers quickly responded, tossing the rope toward Li Ming.
Li Ming reached out a hand, straining to grab the rope. His fingers tightened around it, feeling its solid strength. Chen Yao and the soldiers above pulled hard on the rope, trying to hoist Li Ming up.
"Li Ming, keep going! You can do it!" Chen Yao encouraged from above, her hands gripping the rope tightly as she pulled alongside the soldiers.
Li Ming gritted his teeth, fighting against the darkness of the abyss threatening to swallow him whole. He climbed step by step, each inch filled with difficulty and challenge.
"Everyone pull together!" Chen Hao shouted, and the soldiers exerted their strength on the rope, pulling Li Ming upward.
Finally, Li Ming's hand grasped Chen Yao's outstretched hand. She pulled with all her might while the soldiers joined in to rescue him from the abyss.
"Are you okay?" Chen Yao asked breathlessly, a flicker of concern and relief in her eyes.
"I'm fine, thank you all," Li Ming managed a weak smile.
