Li Ming sprinted forward, his mind focused solely on one thought: to destroy the formation. Chen Yao and the soldiers fought fiercely against the onslaught of the demon race, using their flesh and blood to carve a path for Li Ming toward the formation. The Demon Warriors attacked wildly, but each time they drew near, Chen Yao's dagger would swiftly slice through the air, claiming the lives of their enemies.
"Quickly, Li Ming! We will cover you!" Chen Yao shouted, her voice cutting through the chaos of the battlefield.
Li Ming nodded, determination filling his heart. He continued to run forward, the sights before him growing increasingly horrific. Finally, he spotted the dark red formation, hidden beneath the asphalt, revealed by the destruction wrought by the demon invasion. It was clear that this was the work of the Black Dragon Gang; they had buried the formation underground in the city, and now, with the demons' invasion, these formations were being exposed one by one.
The formation was surrounded by decaying human corpses, emitting a strong stench of rot. These bodies appeared to have been decomposing for a long time, showcasing the cruelty and ruthlessness of both the Black Dragon Gang and the demon race. Li Ming gripped his sword tightly, confusion swirling in his mind as he pondered what to do.
"How am I supposed to destroy this?" Li Ming muttered under his breath, a flicker of anxiety crossing his eyes. He knew time was running out; he had to act quickly.
At that moment, Chen Yao and the soldiers were giving their all to fend off the demon assault. Each one was using their life and belief to protect Li Ming. They understood that he was the only one capable of destroying this formation; they had to buy him time.
"Li Ming, hurry! We can't hold them off for long!" Chen Yao shouted urgently, her voice filled with desperation and hope.
Li Ming took a deep breath, striving to calm himself. He knew he needed to find a way to destroy the formation as soon as possible. He recalled Master Han's teachings on breaking formations and decided to take a risk.
He swung his sword at several key points of the formation, channeling Spiritual Energy through it as he sliced through the rotting corpses and dark red patterns. With each strike, the formation emitted a low hum, seemingly resisting his attacks.
"This isn't enough!" Li Ming thought anxiously, realizing he needed to exert more force.
He concentrated all his Spiritual Energy and plunged his sword into the center of the formation. With a low roar, he poured all his strength into it. The formation erupted with a brilliant red light, shaking the ground beneath him; Li Ming felt a powerful backlash that nearly knocked him off balance.
"Hold on! We're almost there!" Li Ming told himself as he pushed harder, driving his sword deeper into the center of the formation.
However, contrary to his hopes, instead of beginning to collapse, the formation shook violently in response; its red light grew even more blinding.
Suddenly, a tremendous backlash erupted from within the formation, slamming Li Ming hard against the ground. His body flew like a kite with its string cut before crashing heavily onto the earth, blood spilling from his mouth.
"Li Ming!" Chen Yao exclaimed, her heart filled with worry and anxiety as she witnessed Li Ming being knocked down.
Li Ming felt excruciating pain throughout his body as he tried to stand up, but his limbs were weak. He watched helplessly as the Teleportation Array began to activate, a Demon Monster's head gradually emerging from it. The head was enormous and twisted, with blood-red light flickering in its eyes, emanating a strong aura of evil.
"No... no!" Li Ming shouted in despair, overwhelmed by a sense of helplessness and defeat. He pounded the ground in frustration, yelling, "What am I supposed to do?!"
At that moment, the Chaos Pearl on his wrist began to vibrate violently, seemingly absorbing everything around it. The pearl emitted a faint glow, which intensified as the vibrations grew stronger.
"What is this...?" Li Ming marveled at the Chaos Pearl, feeling a powerful force surging from within it.
The Chaos Pearl started to absorb the surrounding Spiritual Energy and evil aura, merging them together to form a powerful energy vortex. Li Ming sensed the fluctuations of this power and realized it was a rare opportunity.
"This is... our only chance!" Li Ming whispered to himself, then focused intently, trying to channel the power of the Chaos Pearl.
As Li Ming concentrated, the glow of the Chaos Pearl grew brighter, and the energy vortex expanded, pulling everything around it into its depths. The Demon Monster in the Teleportation Array also sensed the threat of this power and let out a furious roar in an attempt to resist.
"No, you can't come out!" Li Ming shouted defiantly, determination flashing in his eyes.
The power of the Chaos Pearl continued to strengthen; the energy vortex became increasingly intense until it formed a massive energy sphere that enveloped both the Teleportation Array and the Demon Monster within it. As the energy sphere expanded, the red array was gradually consumed, and the Demon Monster's head was pulled back into the array by overwhelming force.
"Look! The Teleportation Array is collapsing!" Chen Yao exclaimed joyfully, her eyes filled with hope.
Li Ming felt the power of the Chaos Pearl and knew this was their only chance. He concentrated all his thoughts on directing the power of the Chaos Pearl toward the center of the array.
The Chaos Pearl rapidly absorbed the array's evil energy, dark red light continuously being drawn into it. Li Ming felt a heavy pressure on his wrist while whispers seemed to echo in his ears—voices that sounded like murmurs from hell, filled with temptation and madness.
"No, I cannot be deceived by these voices..." Li Ming silently told himself. He knew that the most important thing now was to destroy the formation and protect the Southern Capital.
He couldn't afford to think about anything else as he let the Chaos Pearl continue to absorb the power of the formation. The light emitted by the pearl grew increasingly intense, and the energy vortex became larger and larger. Dark red beams of light formed streams of energy around the pearl, continuously being drawn in as it spun.
At that moment, the surrounding Demons also sensed the unusual fluctuations. They widened their eyes, staring at the Chaos Pearl on Li Ming's wrist, a flicker of fear and anger crossing their faces. They charged at Li Ming frantically, trying to stop this powerful force.
"Don't let him get close!" Chen Yao shouted loudly, her dagger flashing like lightning as she swiftly dispatched the approaching Demon Warriors. Her gaze was sharp, filled with determination and courage.
The soldiers fought back with all their might, shooting and blocking with everything they had, trying to buy Li Ming more time and space. Gunfire erupted, flames ignited, and the entire battlefield descended into chaos.
"Li Ming, hurry up! We can't hold on much longer!" Chen Yao called out anxiously, a hint of worry flashing in her eyes.
Li Ming took a deep breath, striving to concentrate as he continued to channel the power of the Chaos Pearl. He felt an increasing pressure on his wrist, and the whispers became clearer and more piercing. But he knew this was his only chance; he had to succeed.
"Keep absorbing; completely destroy this formation!" Li Ming silently vowed, a glint of resolve flashing in his eyes.
The light of the Chaos Pearl intensified further, enveloping the entire formation in an energy vortex. The evil forces were continuously drawn into the pearl, causing the formation to tremble and emit a low hum. The decaying corpses gradually turned to ash under the powerful energy impact, vanishing into thin air.
"We're almost there; hold on!" Li Ming shouted. As his words fell, the Chaos Pearl let out a tremendous roar, and the energy vortex reached its peak.
In that instant, the Teleportation Array emitted a piercing scream before beginning to collapse. The dark red light was completely absorbed, and the entire formation shattered into fragments that scattered across the ground with the wind.
