……
"Wow, wow, wow..."
The dazzling Golden Light Falls illuminated the scene as everyone leveled up again. Liu Yuhan soared three levels, reaching level 50, placing fourth on the Level leaderboard right after Rebellious Blood Blade. The second, third, and fourth positions were all level 50 as well, differing only in experience points.
"Haha... this reward is impressive!"
"Yes, yes, yes... so what missions do we have next?" asked Stinky Fish.
With a charming smile, Liu Yuhan softly replied, "Of course we do! It's time to log off and get a good night's sleep. Tomorrow night at eight o'clock sharp, the Mist and Rain Commerce and the Auction House will officially open alongside the arena. I hope everyone can come and support us!"
"Haha... this is going to be quite an event! Count me in!" Not a Master exclaimed eagerly.
And so, amidst laughter and joy, everyone dispersed. Those who needed to log off did so, while others continued their activities. Liu Yuhan headed to the Chamber Base of Operations, as tomorrow marked the opening day for the Chamber, and there were many matters that required her attention and arrangement.
At midnight, a carriage sped out of Southern Wilderness City...
At this moment, Yi Tianchen felt somewhat anxious. Seeing Guardian Jada skillfully tossing his Dragon Claw, he couldn't help but entertain an astonishing thought; he never expected that the System would be so generous as to actually drop the Dragon Claw.
The carriage moved quickly, heading towards familiar territory. Before long, Yi Tianchen spotted lights coming from the Maple Forest. He quickened his pace while subconsciously beginning to pray. Moments later, he arrived at the entrance of Maple Village.
"Who goes there?"
The guards of the village were diligent in their duties, but upon seeing Yi Tianchen's Maple Village VIP Medal on his arm, they immediately broke into smiles.
After easily entering the village, Yi Tianchen made his way straight to Dwarf Blacksmith Kahn's thatched hut...
"Clang, clang, clang..."
Dwarf Blacksmith Kahn's hunched figure remained as it was, tirelessly hammering away at the glowing iron, forging it into various sharp weapons. When he saw Yi Tianchen, he didn't even lift his head, his tone as flat as ever.
"It's late. What do you want from this old man?"
"I have a request!"
Yi Tianchen smiled slightly, took a breath, and then said earnestly, "May I ask, with your exceptional forging skills, unmatched in this day and age, if you could merge two weapons into one and forge a new weapon?"
"Nonsense! Weapon fusion is a simple task; what's so difficult about it?"
"Really?"
Yi Tianchen silently praised himself and immediately presented Dragon's Roar. He then took out Dragon Claw from his pack, suppressing the joy in his heart as he asked, "What do you think? Can you forge these two weapons into one?"
"Get out!"
Dwarf Blacksmith Kahn erupted in unprecedented anger, glaring at Yi Tianchen as he roared, "What is Dragon's Roar? It’s one of the Three Divine Weapons! How dare you bring such trash to me for fusion? Do you have any idea how to treat a Divine Weapon?"
Yi Tianchen was spitting blood in disbelief; this was something he hadn't anticipated.
But after a moment of reflection, Yi Tianchen felt a surge of determination and continued to explain, "You misunderstand. I'm not trying to completely merge them; I just want to add one function from Dragon Claw to Dragon's Roar. It's different from what you call forging fusion."
"You want to attach that useless chain to Dragon's Roar?"
Yi Tianchen was taken aback but quickly nodded. This was indeed what he wanted! Ever since Unintentional created the Hundred Steps Flying Sword skill, Yi Tianchen had hardly used it because of its restrictive nature—once the weapon flew out, it was as good as discarded!
If there were something that could bring back the thrown weapon, then the Hundred Steps Flying Sword could truly unleash its intended power, and the appearance of Dragon Claw might just be Yi Tianchen's only hope.
Boom!
Without further ado, Yi Tianchen unleashed the Hundred Steps Flying Sword, demonstrating a flying sword technique to Dwarf Blacksmith Kahn. Dragon's Roar shimmered with golden light, shooting through a pillar thick enough for a person to embrace, leaving a massive hole in its wake.
"Hmm! The old man seems to understand your intention!"
"Then... is it possible?"
Yi Tianchen asked eagerly. Dwarf Blacksmith Kahn fell into deep thought. After more than three minutes, he finally let out a long breath and said sternly, "To me, this matter is child's play. Since you have this need, I will grant your wish!"
"How long will it take?" Yi Tianchen pressed impatiently.
"One quarter of an hour!"
As Dwarf Blacksmith Kahn spoke, he discarded the iron block he had been hammering and took a careful look at the Dragon Claw in Yi Tianchen's hand. He then asked Yi Tianchen to retrieve Dragon's Roar before preparing for the highly anticipated and heart-pounding forging fusion.
A minute passed... five minutes... ten minutes...
The cold wind of midnight blew fiercely, yet inside Yi Tianchen's heart, there was a warmth and heat as he silently counted down the time. Finally, he was jolted awake by a satisfied exclamation from Dwarf Blacksmith Kahn. He immediately rushed forward like a tiger pouncing on its prey, his eyes wide and unblinking.
Overall, Dragon's Roar had not changed at all; it only had a hole drilled into the end of the hilt, connecting it to the chain of Dragon Claw. The claws of Dragon Claw were removed and tossed aside, replaced by the already formidable Dragon's Roar.
Equipping it again, a long chain appeared at Yi Tianchen's waist. He activated Hundred Steps Flying Sword once more, and the chain clanked as it flew out. With a quick pull, Dragon's Roar was instantly back in his hand, and all results aligned with his initial expectations.
"Hahaha... Awesome! So cool!"
Yi Tianchen couldn't help but laugh out loud until he was met with a deep disdain from Dwarf Blacksmith Kahn. He saw Kahn holding a small transparent object that resembled an ice cube and said, "This material was taken from Dragon's Roar; it's incredibly precious, so you mustn't waste it."
"Got it, I'll remember."
Yi Tianchen accepted it with a smile, but suddenly felt a tremor in his heart as if he had just discovered some earth-shattering secret. His expression changed drastically as he spoke slowly, "I have one more question. The forging materials for the Three Divine Weapons are actually the same, right?"
From Lord Dolan of South Wilderness City, Yi Tianchen had already learned this fact. After a moment of surprise, Dwarf Blacksmith Kahn nodded solemnly without saying a word.
"Then... if... I mean if I were to use this material to forge the bowstring for Shattered Dream..."
