A malicious, absolutely malicious scheme!
Yi Tianchen and Liu Yuhan exchanged glances, seeing nothing but helplessness and bitterness in each other's eyes. They understood that the reason their opponent chose to encircle rather than attack was to use this blockade to coerce the members of Mist of Time into abandoning their group.
Thus, the encirclement was merely the first step. At that moment, the team channel once again displayed detection information from The Terminator of Regrets. The overall formation of the enemy remained intact, but they continued to reinforce their ranks, constructing a long-distance blockade along the outskirts of Dawn Forest.
“Captain, Tianchen Boss, what should we do next?” Li Tielong said, feeling overwhelmed. Many members of the opposing team had already closed in and formed a blockade chain; all it would take was a single command to launch a group attack against them.
“We can only fight back!” Yi Tianchen replied with a wry smile, though a hint of seriousness flickered in his eyes.
“Hahaha... Listen up, people of Mist of Time! You are completely surrounded by us. If you know what's good for you, surrender quickly and come out; perhaps we might spare your lives!” A harsh voice rang out from afar, instantly provoking everyone present.
Yi Tianchen and Liu Yuhan were taken aback when they heard another shout: “People of Mist of Time, listen carefully! However, our President has issued an order: this operation is solely targeting the Mist Rain Flowing Years Mercenary Group. Any member of Mist of Time will be killed without mercy.”
As soon as that voice fell, another shouted: “That's right! Considering everyone's difficulty in leveling up, our Guild will not pursue those who can timely abandon the darkness and join the light by leaving the Mist Rain Flowing Years Mercenary Group. You will be allowed to leave freely; otherwise, not a single one will be spared!”
“Bastards!”
Listening to such arrogant words, Hero Does Not Question Origin was furious and stomped his feet. With one swing of his blade, he cleaved through a tree as thick as a bowl and exclaimed angrily, “MLGBD! These bastards who only know how to bully the weak really make me want to charge up and take them down!”
In contrast, Yi Tianchen and Liu Yuhan remained remarkably calm. Having seen through their opponent's two-pronged strategy, this was within their expectations. First encircle, then divide; this not only aimed to eliminate Yi Tianchen and his group but also sought to strangle the newly formed Mist of Time in its cradle.
This was precisely Blood Night Poison Wolf's malicious intent.
In that brief moment, the enemy's taunts did not cease. After hearing these words, many members began to stir restlessly as they weighed their options.
For them, joining a mercenary group or a Guild was ultimately about finding a reliable backing. However, the scene unfolding before them clearly deviated from that expectation; not only was their support unreliable, but they were also in danger of suffering consequences.
Before long, a System notification popped up, indicating that one member had voluntarily left the mercenary group. Yi Tianchen and Liu Yuhan exchanged glances without saying much, while the others were taken aback as they watched a player hastily run out of Dawn Forest without even a word of farewell.
With this first departure, a chain reaction quickly ensued. The second, then the third… In less than three minutes, the entire team was reduced to just eleven members. Excluding Yi Tianchen's original ten-person team, it meant that only one member had chosen to stay.
Yi Tianchen and Liu Yuhan were speechless! They felt conflicted! They hadn’t expected their Guild’s inaugural venture to end up like this, but it was enough to severely dent everyone’s confidence.
The lone remaining new member was a young man named Autumn Soar, level 31, an Intermediate Swordsman.
He appeared to be around eighteen or nineteen years old but exuded an air of maturity. Standing solemnly with a tightly gripped longsword in hand, his expression revealed a mix of anger and struggle.
“Good job, brother!” Not a Master said sternly.
Autumn Soar forced a bitter smile before turning to Liu Yuhan and Yi Tianchen, speaking earnestly: “Captain, Vice Captain, let’s fight our way out together!”
“Exactly! Let’s charge out together; if we take down one, we break even; if we take down two, we profit!” Hero Does Not Question Origin immediately echoed loudly, his eyes shining with fervor as he added in a deep voice, “Since we have no way back now, we might as well go all out.”
“What if we use the return scroll?” Stinky Fish asked in confusion.
“Return scroll?”
The emotionless voice of The Terminator of Regrets cut through the air. In the next moment, he appeared before everyone with an unshakeable calmness and said, “If we do that, we’ll only die worse! For us right now, the return point has already become a hellish trap.”
"Are you saying they have set up an ambush at the return point?" Stinky Fish was taken aback, frowning in confusion. "Even though they want to kill us, they wouldn't dare to PK maliciously in the city, would they?"
"Remnant is right; returning is absolutely not an option," Liu Yuhan said at that moment, her gaze shifting to Yi Tianchen. She spoke softly, "Tianchen, share your plan with us."
In an instant, all eyes were on Yi Tianchen. He remained silent for a moment, offering no further explanation and simply threw out one word—kill!
Kill?!
Everyone was stunned, unable to articulate their feelings. They had been looking forward to fighting together, yet hearing Yi Tianchen summarize it with just that one word stirred a strange sensation within each of them.
Under normal circumstances, the term "kill" couldn't be simpler; roll up your sleeves and swing your weapon. However, the current situation was quite special. The so-called "kill" was merely a means to an end, not the goal itself. Yi Tianchen and the others needed to use this "kill" to achieve their ultimate objective of breaking through.

Blood Night Poison Dragon felt both excited and conflicted. He was thrilled that this tactic had indeed worked, especially when he saw all the new members fleeing the team; he nearly applauded in delight. "Second, can we charge in now? They only have eleven people, while we have nearly two hundred. Are we really afraid of them?" After some hesitation, Blood Night Poison Dragon finally mustered the courage to suggest an attack based on their numerical advantage.
Blood Night Poison Wolf did not respond directly but muttered to himself, "From which direction will they break out? Or perhaps... retreat into the dense forest and wait for us to come?"
"Wait... wait for us?" Blood Night Poison Dragon was taken aback. "Second, aren't we the ones waiting? What are they waiting for? You've really confused me."
Blood Night Poison Wolf shook his head. "If they choose to break out, then we would be the ones waiting. But if they decide to retreat deeper into the forest and lie in wait, then they become the ones waiting for us. Since we want to eliminate them, if they don't move, we have to act, and the initiative naturally falls into their hands."

"Hahaha... good!" Hearing Blood Night Poison Wolf's words, Blood Night Poison Dragon immediately became excited. He waved his staff a few times and spoke with a chilling tone to himself, "Falling Leaves, Mist of Time. Hmph, today this Dawn Forest will be your grave!"
"Let's move out!"
With a command, dozens of teams began advancing toward the Dawn Forest, quickly merging with members stationed on the perimeter for encirclement. Thus, a team of nearly two hundred formed a long, narrow arc that surged like waves into the silent Dawn Forest.
Minutes later, the teams reached their designated positions and began the carpet sweep under Blood Night Poison Wolf's unified command. Suddenly, rustling sounds filled the air as frontline melee players checked every bush and thicket for hiding spots.
However, the Dawn Forest was vast. After such a sweep, as the search area expanded, their numbers quickly became scattered, leading to significant gaps in their formation. To Blood Night Poison Wolf, these gaps felt like sharp blades piercing his heart.
Undeniably, this was a signal—a double-edged signal!
On one hand, it warned Blood Night Poison Wolf that the emergence of gaps meant his opponents could take advantage; on the other hand, it informed his adversaries—namely Yi Tianchen and Liu Yuhan—that the opportunity they had been waiting for had quietly arrived.
