Thick smoke swirled in the air, and aside from Lingxiao and his group, nearly everyone else, including Weiyang, was holding their breath as they watched the Apache Attack Helicopter split in two and begin its descent. A single thought echoed in their minds: this was impossible!
It was understandable. Since Ye Huan had summoned the Apache Attack Helicopter, it had been regarded as an almost monstrous presence in everyone's eyes. Not only could it fly, but its defensive capabilities were comparable to that of a Type 99 main battle tank. Even its offensive power was evident to all. How could it be so easily sliced apart?
"It can't be! Ye Huan must be fine..."
Tears nearly filled her eyes as Zhao Ziyu gazed at the sky, unable to believe that what she was witnessing was real. She muttered to herself repeatedly.
As if to validate Zhao Ziyu's thoughts, when the wreckage of the Apache Attack Helicopter crashed heavily onto the ground, a gentle breeze swept through. From the smoke generated by the explosion, a man slowly emerged. Surrounding him was a transparent magical barrier that had developed spiderweb-like cracks, making it appear as though the sky itself was fracturing.
Seeing this scene clearly, Wen Ziran stood frozen in place for a moment before incredulously exclaiming, "Ye Huan, you’re still alive?"
"Of course! If you all are alive, how could I possibly be dead?"
With a cold smile, Ye Huan turned his gaze toward Wen Ziran and delivered a sharp retort. This was typical of Ye Huan's style. As for the transparent magical barrier surrounding him, even Ye Huan initially had no idea where it came from. But he could guess with certainty that aside from a few magical beasts present, only Weiyang remained among the mages. It seemed likely that Weiyang had cast this spell specifically to protect him.
Ye Huan flashed a brilliant smile at Weiyang before shifting his serious gaze toward Jiang Tingyu, startling Weiyang in the process. Only he knew that this magical barrier had been left behind at Ye Huan’s request after receiving a signal from the Nine-Clawed Golden Dragon to keep Ye Huan within the attack range of Light and Dark Judgment.
‘Could it be that Ye Huan saw through me?’
A thought emerged from deep within Weiyang, causing goosebumps to rise on both his arms. Cautiously, he moved closer to the Nine-Clawed Golden Dragon and whispered in its ear, "Nine-Clawed Golden Dragon, if Ye Huan comes looking for trouble with me, you have to help me explain!"
"Shut your mouth and stop bothering me while I watch the show."
With unblinking eyes fixed on the sky, the Nine-Clawed Golden Dragon resembled a street thug who had turned hostile, snapping at Ye Huan with a barrage of reprimands. Weiyang felt a surge of anger, regretting that he had listened to the Nine-Clawed Golden Dragon's advice to leave Ye Huan alone within the attack range of Light and Dark Judgment. Now, not only was Ye Huan keeping an eye on him, but even the Nine-Clawed Golden Dragon seemed unwilling to step in on his behalf.
"Damn it, next time I won't listen to anyone except Ye Huan!"
Weiyang cursed aloud, glancing at the Nine-Clawed Golden Dragon's expression. To his surprise, instead of the fury he expected, he found the Nine-Clawed Golden Dragon still intently staring into the air. This prompted Weiyang to look up as well, and he immediately saw that Ye Huan and Jiang Tingyu had already engaged in battle. One wielded a black broadsword while the other held a golden longsword, their forms becoming two streaks of contrasting light in the sky.
As another flash of light intersected with a loud clash of weapons echoed in his ears, Wen Ziran appeared alongside Jiang Tingyu, igniting a fierce battle spirit within him. He lightly brushed his right hand over his left wrist, and a black longsword materialized in his grasp. If one looked closely, they would notice an antique Spatial Ring adorning Wen Ziran's left hand.
Gently stroking the blade of his black longsword, Wen Ziran felt the characters "Wen Ziran" engraved on the hilt. With a push off from the air beneath him, he transformed into a streak of black light and charged toward Ye Huan with astonishing speed that produced a sharp sound of breaking air.
Sensing Wen Ziran rushing toward him from afar, Ye Huan felt helpless. Although he possessed both Cultivator and Summoner identities, anyone familiar with Ye Huan knew that his true strength lay in his Summoner abilities. If he were to engage in combat using his Cultivator skills against an equally ranked Cultivator, it would be nothing short of disastrous for him.
Cursing Wen Ziran for being shamelessly opportunistic and attempting to outnumber him, Ye Huan decided not to hold back any longer. He waved his hand, and over twenty M60 machine guns appeared on the ground before Weiyang and the Nine-Clawed Golden Dragon.
"This is... I get it now! Ye Huan needs our help!"
Weiyang quickly deduced Ye Huan's intention upon seeing the sudden appearance of more than twenty M60 machine guns. Eagerly, he dashed toward one of them, thinking that if he could contribute some firepower, perhaps Ye Huan would stop causing him trouble later.
With this thought in mind, Weiyang reached the side of one M60 machine gun. Just as he was about to grasp its handle, all twenty machine guns seemed to be controlled by an unseen force as they instantly aimed toward the sky. Startled, Weiyang jumped back but soon realized that around these twenty M60 machine guns floated strands of Heaven and Earth Spiritual Energy belonging to Ye Huan!
Rat-a-tat-tat...
Twenty machine guns roared simultaneously. Ye Huan fought against Jiang Tingyu while simultaneously using the Heaven and Earth Spiritual Energy within his body to control the twenty M60 general-purpose machine guns, blocking Wen Ziran's advance. Wen Ziran was forced to use his Ziran Sword to withstand the bullets from the M60s, leaving him no time to assist Jiang Tingyu.
Calculating how long the twenty M60s could sustain their fire without interruption, Ye Huan, during another clash with Jiang Tingyu, reached for the Summoning Book 2012 Arms Compendium and summoned an RPG Rocket Launcher. He aimed it at Jiang Tingyu from close range and pulled the trigger.
If even Wen Ziran could withstand the Hellfire Missile's attack, it was clear that the RPG Rocket Launcher would not inflict any harm on Jiang Tingyu either. At most, it would force Jiang Tingyu to slightly shift his body to avoid getting covered in dust like Wen Ziran. However, in that brief moment, Ye Huan seized the opportunity to quickly flip to a page in the Summoning Book that he had never opened before...
