Retrieving the Type 99 main battle tank undoubtedly meant that Ye Huan's life was no longer guaranteed. "I can only study how to use this thing. By the way, do you see that button over there? Go press it and see what it does, then let me know," Ye Huan said without turning his head, still fiddling with the scope. He pointed at the control panel next to the cannon.
Upon hearing that he could operate such a massive machine, Zhang Ren was visibly excited. After all, a tank with such immense power was far more thrilling than a military Hummer.
While Ye Huan and Zhang Ren were busy trying to figure out how to use the Type 99 main battle tank, outside, Han Xuan and Han Cai'er were startled by the words of the servants. Hearing Qin Mu's words eased Han Xuan's tension. She smiled at him and suggested, "Uncle Qin, why don't we talk inside? My father should be arriving soon."
Nodding in agreement with her suggestion, Qin Mu intended to follow Han Xuan into the reception hall of Han Residence along with Qin Hu. However, before he could take another step, a creaking sound came from the direction of the Type 99 main battle tank.
Curious about the noise, both Qin Mu and Qin Hu looked over. The two were somewhat oblivious due to their ignorance; however, having witnessed the power of the Type 99 main battle tank before, Han Xuan reacted differently. When she saw that the cannon barrel—at least two or three meters long—was slowly turning toward them as it adjusted its aim with the turret's movement, she turned pale and shouted loudly, "Be careful!"
Before her voice even faded away, she dashed aside with her slender legs and curvy hips. Even those so-called experts from the Han family nearly mirrored her actions and ran even faster.
This scene left both Qin Mu and Qin Hu wide-eyed in confusion about what was happening.
Inside the Type 99 main battle tank, Ye Huan was speechless. It turned out that all the commotion just now was caused by Zhang Ren. He had barely figured out how to use the gunner's stabilized sight when he clearly saw the crowd at the entrance of Han Residence through the turret's rotation, instantly recognizing Qin Mu as the lord of Flame Sun City.
There was no way around it; if anyone claimed that Qin Hu and Qin Mu were not father and son, Ye Huan would be the first to disbelieve. At least Ye Huan thought they looked too much alike—both were plump and rather unrefined.
What intrigued Ye Huan even more was why the lord of Flame Sun City had brought Qin Hu here.
After pondering for a long time, Ye Huan still couldn't figure it out. However, just in case, he decided to try loading a shell into the tank's cannon again with Zhang Ren. Better safe than sorry.
Unbeknownst to him, someone was observing from the dark cannon barrel. At the entrance of Han Residence, Qin Mu's curiosity was piqued. He could clearly sense that the movements of the Han family's experts and Han Xuan were all triggered by the commotion from this iron box in front of him, which might very well be some kind of 'secret weapon' from the Han family.
With this thought in mind, after noticing that there was no movement around, Qin Mu quickly approached Han Xuan with Qin Hu, patted her shoulder, pointed at the Type 99 main battle tank, and quietly asked, "Han Xuan, what is that thing?"
What is that thing? Han Xuan also wanted to know what it was, but the problem was she truly didn't know! After hesitating for a long time, she decided it would be more appropriate to pass the question to Han Liu. "This kid thinks once wasn't enough; he seems eager for me to extort him again." Looking at Qin Hu through the tank's sight, Ye Huan felt that the lord of Flame Sun City was brought here by Qin Hu and that it was very likely Qin Hu would tell his father about being extorted by him. As he thought about this, Ye Huan wondered if he could extort Qin Hu one more time so that he would fear him whenever they met in the future.
Just as Ye Huan vaguely entertained this idea, he noticed from a distance that merely looking wasn't enough for Qin Hu; he actually started walking slowly toward Ye Huan. This made Ye Huan's eyes light up as an idea popped into his head...
