Friendship often forms unexpectedly. After the chubby Weiyang helped Ye Huan evade danger this time, Ye Huan considered him a friend. With no immediate plans to leave the room, the two passed the time chatting about various topics. 0

As they got to know each other better, Ye Huan developed a new perspective on the ugly chubby guy before him. Setting aside his appearance, Weiyang was undoubtedly a genius among geniuses. At just twenty-two years old, he had already become a Fourth-Level Mage, mastering magic in four elements—wind, water, fire, and lightning—aside from the extremes of light and dark spells. His background was impressive; he was the grandson of the president of the Royal Capital Mage Association. 0

"I say, are you interested in going to Liangzhou for some fun?" After learning that Weiyang was the president's grandson, Ye Huan began to scheme, hoping to have Weiyang accompany him to Liangzhou. After all, having a Fourth-Level Mage by his side would significantly increase his safety. 0

Upon hearing "Liangzhou," Weiyang appeared curious and was about to agree when loud shouts erupted outside. Clearly, the black-clad figures who had left were still searching for Ye Huan. He chuckled and said, "Liangzhou? Going there could be fun, but shouldn't we deal with those tailing you first?" 0

Nodding in agreement, Ye Huan felt extreme disdain for those pursuing him. Although he still didn’t understand why they were after him, anyone being chased for five days would likely be filled with pent-up frustration. To put it bluntly, killing them now wouldn’t even begin to relieve Ye Huan's anger. 0

After receiving Ye Huan's response, Weiyang quickly walked over to the bed and retrieved a package from the headboard. He pulled out a gray robe and tossed it to Ye Huan, then pointed at a nearby basin, indicating he should clean up. 0

Taking the robe without hesitation, Ye Huan stepped over to the basin and wiped himself down with a coarse cloth before putting on the Gray Robe. 0

It was comical how their sizes differed drastically; Weiyang's clothing looked utterly ridiculous on Ye Huan. The robe's hem trailed on the ground, hindering his movement significantly. 0

Feeling frustrated for a moment, Ye Huan decided to tear off the bottom of the robe. Perhaps due to his experience with making trigger bombs, he tore it swiftly and forcefully. The fabric made a ripping sound that caused Weiyang to widen his eyes in shock as he muttered, "No wonder my grandfather told me not to offend people from the Ye Family... This style of dressing is more barbaric than that of savages..." 0

Ignoring Weiyang’s comments, Ye Huan finished adjusting himself and cautiously opened the door just enough to peek outside. Through the gap, he could see numerous black-clad figures scattered throughout the inn; leaving would be nearly impossible. 0

Just as Ye Huan was feeling troubled about their situation, events outside took a turn. Many guards had gathered at the inn's entrance and were questioning a waiter. They quickly bound him up and stormed into the inn, seizing any black-clad figures they encountered, leading to an immediate clash. 0

"An opportunity has arisen..." Seeing this unfold, Ye Huan shut the door behind him and approached Weiyang. He relayed what was happening outside and added, "This is our chance. I want to know who they are; I need your help." 0

"It's a small matter; just watch me!" Weiyang smiled slightly at Ye Huan. His already small eyes squinted further as he gripped his staff and stepped out of the room. Without any visible incantation or gesture from him, a green light emanated from his staff. Almost instantly, one of the nearest black-clad figures seemed to be grasped by an invisible force around its throat and was dragged into Weiyang's room. 0

The other black-clad figures engaged in combat with soldiers outside had no time to react as their comrade appeared before Weiyang. 0

'Is this Wind Binding from a Fourth-Level Mage?' 0

Ye Huan watched in astonishment as he realized that if he encountered such magic while relying on modern arms against martial artists, he would have no chance against someone like Weiyang! 0

With a bitter smile and a shake of his head, Ye Huan decided to stop thinking about the matter and turned his attention to the person he was holding, Weiyang. 0

With a thud, he threw the captured man in black onto the ground. Weiyang gestured with his chin, indicating for Ye Huan to deal with this guy. 0

Ye Huan smiled gratefully at Weiyang and squatted down in front of the man in black. He yanked off the cloth covering the man's face, revealing an ordinary visage. Ye Huan had no recollection of offending this person, so he could only ask, "Tell me, who are you? Why did you try to kill me?" 0

As he spoke, Ye Huan casually summoned an M67 fragmentation grenade into his hand, playing with it and creating significant psychological pressure on the man. It was clear that beads of sweat were forming on the man's forehead, and his legs trembled slightly. 0

"You must have seen this thing before, right? You know better than I do what a death like this looks like. Trust me, if you don't answer honestly, this thing will make quite a few holes in you in the next second." 0

Switching the M67 grenade from his left hand to his right, Ye Huan pressed it against the man's forehead. His fingers deftly grasped the safety pin of the grenade. 0

"I'll talk! I'll tell you everything! We're from Dragon Hall; it's the hall master who sent us to kill you!" The man stared at the grenade, which was about the size of an apple. Thinking of its terrifying power, he could no longer withstand the pressure Ye Huan exerted and hurriedly revealed his identity as a member of Dragon Hall. 0

"Dragon Hall? Are you under Long Batian?" Weiyang interjected, surprised by the mention of Dragon Hall. The man nodded frantically. 0

"Long Batian? Who is he?" Upon hearing that Long Batian wanted him dead, Ye Huan turned his head to look at Weiyang, clearly hoping to get more information about Long Batian from him. After all, Weiyang had once saved Ye Huan's life; what he said would surely be more credible than what this man would reveal. 0

Mentioning Long Batian caused a serious expression to cross Weiyang's ugly face as he slowly explained to Ye Huan, "In the royal capital, aside from the Mage Association, Warrior Association, and Summoner Association, Dragon Hall is the fourth major force. They primarily survive by collecting protection fees and running gambling houses and brothels. Long Batian is the head of Dragon Hall—a sixth-level mage. Don't let his low level fool you; he's quite insidious! My father has suffered losses at his hands before." 0

The more Ye Huan listened, the more he felt that Dragon Hall resembled organized crime from the twenty-first century. However, when he heard that even Weiyang's father had been taken advantage of by Long Batian, he couldn't help but feel alarmed. He looked again at the man lying on the ground and asked him directly, "Do you know why Long Batian wants me dead?" 0

"It’s because... because you killed our people at the Warrior Association first. Then we heard that Treasure Pavilion lost a lot because of your dealings with the little princess," the man confessed under Ye Huan's threat with the M67 grenade, spilling everything without holding back. 0

"I killed your people at Warrior Association first?" After receiving the answer he wanted, Ye Huan was momentarily stunned before recalling that ruffian he had killed earlier. It turned out that all these troubles stemmed from a mere first-level warrior—what a twist of fate. 0

Standing up again, Ye Huan now knew everything he wanted to know. There was no need for this man in black to live any longer. Thinking back on how he had been on edge for five days straight—even while trying to sleep—Ye Huan felt an urge to vent his frustrations. He grabbed a basin that had just been used and pressed the man's head into it. 0

The previously clear water in the basin began bubbling furiously... 0

Of course, this man in black would not sit idly by; however, after being subjected to Wind Binding's power, he found himself utterly powerless. After struggling for two minutes, he finally ceased breathing altogether. 0

Weiyang witnessed everything unfold before him... 0

Until Ye Huan moved the body of the man in black under the bed, Weiyang frowned repeatedly and finally spoke up, "Ye Huan, you killed a Third-Rank Practitioner. According to Huaxia Nation's laws, life-and-death battles between Professionals must be conducted under the supervision of the three major Professional Associations. In other words, you have committed a crime, and I have the right to take you back to the Mage Association for punishment." 0

"First, let me correct you on one point. Killing a Third-Rank Practitioner is merely illegal; it is not a crime. After all, he was the one who tried to kill me first. Secondly, does Huaxia Nation's law really matter to us? When I killed a First-Level Warrior in the royal capital, no one came looking for trouble with me," Ye Huan shrugged nonchalantly. He didn't seem to care much about Weiyang's words and lay down directly on Weiyang's bed, still pondering how to deal with the remaining men in black. 0

In contrast, Weiyang fell silent upon hearing Ye Huan's response. He stood there in a daze, seemingly lost in thought, occasionally showing a hint of confusion. 0

Illegal but not a crime? That logic… 0

It was no wonder that before this journey, Weiyang had always lived within the Mage Association and had received only the most traditional education. Hearing Ye Huan's response was understandably disorienting. 0

After standing there for a while, as if he began to grasp Ye Huan's meaning, he was about to ask what Ye Huan planned to do next when he witnessed an astonishing scene. 0

Above Ye Huan's body, a massive book emerged from within him, floating quietly in the air. A large amount of Heaven and Earth Spiritual Energy emitted a faint white glow, forming a visible vortex. This clearly indicated that the Heaven and Earth Spiritual Energy absorbed within Ye Huan had reached a certain level and resonated with the spiritual energy of the world around them. Simply put, this meant that Ye Huan's strength had increased again. 0

This situation had occurred once before when they were in the palace; within less than a day, Ye Huan had turned to the second page of the Summoning Book. However, he had no recollection of it. Now, five days later, Ye Huan felt that he could turn to the third page of the Summoning Book! 0

He extended his right hand and gently flipped open one corner of the Summoning Book. Countless Heaven and Earth Spiritual Energies surged into the book, revealing the third page of the 2012 Arms Compendium before Ye Huan's eyes… 0
