"Ugh, my head hurts..."
The man on the bed groggily opened his eyes, his right hand slowly reaching up to rub his throbbing head.
A surprised voice exploded in his ear: "Wow, you actually woke up!!!"
He turned his head to see a girl dressed in a dull gray linen outfit, about four feet tall.
She had large, beautiful, shiny black eyes, and her brown hair was tied into two ponytails. Her mouth was agape in astonishment as she looked at him.
It was then that he realized he was completely naked, while the girl held a wet cloth in her hand, seemingly having been cleaning him earlier.
Xiar felt no embarrassment as she asked with a confused expression, "Who are you? Where is this? What happened?"
"Ah... Grandpa, Grandpa! He's awake! He's awake!" the girl squealed, her face suddenly turning red as she tossed the wet cloth aside and ran outside.
In her haste, she accidentally kicked over a wooden basin filled with water, sending it crashing to the floor and soaking herself completely.
"Uh, are you okay?" Xiar hurriedly forced himself out of bed despite his weak limbs and pulled her up from the floor.
However, when the girl stood up and saw him, she let out a piercing scream. It was only then that he awkwardly realized he was completely naked from the waist down!
Coughing awkwardly, he quickly grabbed the bedsheet to wrap himself up.
How embarrassing it was to be naked in front of such a cute girl—more so than any gentleman could ever be.
"What do you want?" an elderly man with silver hair burst in, holding a long Bone Cutter and looking at him with a face full of concern.
"Nothing much..." Xiar sat on the bed, extending his hand in a gesture of harmlessness, but as soon as he spread his arms, the sheets began to slip down, prompting him to hurriedly grab them in embarrassment.
Being seen by one Loli was one thing, but now an old man had also caught sight of him... It made Xiar feel an overwhelming urge to bang his head against the wall.
"Grandpa, Grandpa, he suddenly woke up!" The Loli rushed behind her grandfather, grabbing his arm and speaking loudly while stealing glances at the person on the bed.
"Hello, thank you for saving me!" Xiar smiled gently.
His handsome features naturally elicited goodwill. Old Evan set down the Bone Cutter and sighed in relief, asking, "Son, where did you come from? How did you end up being swallowed by a giant beast?"
A giant beast?
Xiar felt a bit puzzled. "What giant beast?"
"A huge monster covered in yellow-brown scales!" The girl seemed to be moved by his smile and answered eagerly.
"Yellow-brown scales—oh, thank you very much." Xiar expressed his gratitude again.
"How did that monster swallow you whole, and yet you survived? By the Sea God, you must be a Fortunate One blessed by divine protection!" Old Evan exclaimed.
Xiar shrugged helplessly. "I had no choice. I was on a merchant ship heading to the Harrison Empire when I encountered a terrifying giant beast. The next thing I knew, I woke up here... I don't even know what happened in between."
"Well, consider yourself lucky. You should rest for now; I'll go make you some porridge. You need something to eat after waking up." Old Evan said with a smile before turning to leave the room.
"Sister, you can call me Brother Xiar. What's your name?" Xiar asked with a smile at the Loli after he left.
Under his extraordinary mental aura, Jasmine naturally relaxed her guard around him but still appeared timid, like a shy little rabbit. "My name is Jasmine."
She skipped over to the side and shyly handed a set of clothes she had taken down from above to the bedside. "Brother Xiar, this is your outfit."
"Thank you, Sister Jasmine," Xiar said, reaching out to ruffle her hair with a smile. "Alright, you can step outside for a moment. I need to change."
The girl obediently left, and as she reached the door, she made a funny face and said, "I've already seen everything on you!"
With that, she giggled and ran off, leaving Xiar with a strange smile, as if he had just been teased by a little girl.
He unfolded the clothes and noticed numerous patches sewn onto them, each in similar colors.
Unfortunately, they were far from adequate, much like the difference between a rural farmer and a city noble; the fabric quality was vastly different.
He didn't mind much and slowly changed into the outfit, sitting on the edge of the bed lost in thought.
Earlier, under the attack of the Golden Winged Bird, he had no choice but to let the Moon Child self-destruct in search of a slim chance of survival.
Fortunately, he still possessed the Turtle Totem, which had far greater defensive capabilities than the Moon Child. This allowed him to perfectly withstand the terrifying explosion caused by the Moon Child's self-detonation.
However, the intense blast felt as if a missile had exploded right above his head, causing him to lose consciousness instantly.
Luckily, the Burrowing Beast stubbornly dug out a tunnel and took him away underground, making its way across the ocean.
Though not adept at swimming, the Burrowing Beast fought fiercely against the giant beasts guarding Morent in the ocean until it ultimately perished. It carried him in its mouth all the way east to the Lorensath Empire.
There was no choice; both Lorensath Empire and Atlan shared a language derived from Harrison, making it a common tongue across the world.
Yet there were significant differences that allowed Xiar to easily distinguish between them and quickly ascertain his location.
In this plan, he had lost a total of Mantis, the Werewolf, and Moni Turtle, three major Ultimate Forms.
Additionally, Firefly had suffered severe injuries and was completely unconscious, while Moon Child had self-destructed, marking an extremely significant loss.
Fortunately, two totems remained: one was his core Main Totem, and the other was an Auxiliary Totem that he had reforged through the Rune Factory.
Now, as long as he spent a large amount of Evolution Points or utilized various gem resources, he could fully restore them.
Unfortunately—he glanced at the Attribute Panel in front of him, and in the Evolution Points section, there was only a meager 1 point.
During the previous terrifying battle, he had used up the vast majority of his points to ensure his survival. The fact that he still had this much left was already quite remarkable.
To think that he could restore both totems with just this one point was nothing short of delusional; he would need at least ten times that amount!
However, before anything else, he needed to prioritize restoring his own body.
At present, his body was extremely weak, and his mental strength had taken a heavy blow from the collapse of the Main Totem Firefly.
Having also been unconscious for such a long time, even an ordinary person could easily defeat him now.
This made him recall how he felt when he first crossed over; there seemed to be no difference—this sense of weakness was truly unbearable!
Xiar slowly walked out of the door and leaned against the doorframe, asking the Loli in the courtyard, “Jasmine, have you seen those beads on me?”
