Caw!
A piercing cry of an eagle startled the air, drawing the attention of many students. A massive eagle, impressive in size, slowly landed on the roof of one of the houses in the academy's dormitory area. A young student descended from above.
The giant bird, with a wingspan of ten meters, suddenly vanished, transforming into a radiant light that merged into the back of his left hand.
"Mr. Xiar, please come with us," a voice called out as he steadied himself.
"Alright, please wait a moment."
Xiar replied calmly, unhurriedly entering the house. After rinsing off in the shower, he changed into clean clothes.
"Xiar, do you know why they are looking for you?" Erin asked, clearly sensing that the visitors were not friendly and feeling somewhat worried.
"It's nothing; they just want to ask me a few questions. I'll be back soon," he replied with a smile, tidying himself up before stepping out of the villa.
The visitors were none other than his teammate, Bald Man, who was as robust as a brown bear, with arms thicker than Xiar's waist.
Bald Man grinned widely and said, "Bloody White Fox, you're finished!"
"Oh, is that why you came all this way to lead me around? To regain a bit of your pathetic pride?" Xiar replied calmly, tilting his head slightly to look at him.
Despite being much taller than Bald Man, Iron Tower felt an instinctive fear; the strength of the person before him was far beyond his expectations.
Especially considering that this individual had consistently completed missions alone and left no survivors each time, it made Iron Tower wary.
The scar on Iron Tower's face twitched like a centipede as he sneered, "Let me tell you, this time Clark, Bean, and Stuart are all present. You're done for!"
"Oh, and what of it?" Xiar did not pay him any mind.
"Very well, we'll see!" Iron Tower said no more and strode ahead, showing no awareness of being a guide.
After a while, he turned back and was infuriated to see the person behind him standing on the back of a giant turtle, seriously reading a book as if on vacation.
Iron Tower coldly remarked, "Summoning Totems are not allowed to be used casually in the academy."
"Oh, if you take a look at page one of the School Regulations, you'll see that any actions by Summoning Totems that threaten others are prohibited; otherwise, you will face accountability from the Enforcement Team," Xiar said lightly without lifting his head.
"Very well!" Iron Tower was left speechless. Clearly, the other party had memorized the School Regulations and there was no way to make him comply on this matter.
In terms of strength, he was also outmatched and could only stew in his anger.
Moments later, they arrived at the Enforcement Team's headquarters. Xiar silently followed him up to the third floor.
The first floor of the building housed the reception area and related intelligence departments, while the second floor contained various teams' offices. The third floor was designated for meeting rooms.
Whenever significant matters arose, all teams would be summoned there.
Now, for the first time, Xiar entered the third floor and pushed open the door to a hall that spanned several hundred square meters.
To his surprise, it resembled the conference rooms from his previous life; in the center stood a long oval table with chairs arranged on either side, and more chairs lined against the walls.
It was evident that only team leaders could sit at the table, while other team members had to obediently listen from the side.
In a hall that could accommodate over a hundred people, only a handful of ten or so were seated.
The other four members of Team 007 were present, and three formidable-looking men sat at the main table. The one in the middle spoke, "Enforcer White Fox, do you plead guilty?"
"What crime have I committed?" Xiar asked, standing there with an air of calm dignity.
There was an inexplicable tremor in the man's voice, carrying a lofty and detached aura that made one feel an overwhelming urge to kneel in submission.
It was evident that this was the one with terrifying psychic abilities, Clark!
"Many wanted individuals may not deserve death, but why did you insist on killing them? Do you dare to claim it was unintentional?"
Under the increasingly intense mental pressure from the opponent, Xiar remained composed. "I apologize; if it could have been resolved peacefully, they would not have died. If you believe that killing someone who posed a threat to tens of thousands of students at the academy is a sin, then I have nothing more to say. You may punish me as you see fit."
"Tony only injured others; why did you force your way into the tavern, risking the lives of dozens of innocent people to kill him?"
The leader's expression grew more furious, his psychic energy almost materializing as it pressed down on Xiar's back, making him feel as if he were carrying a heavy mountain.
Yet he stood firm, unwavering as he looked at the man. "Hah, does that Tony have any connection to you? Otherwise, why would you be so enraged?"
"You are courting death!" The man roared as he stood up abruptly, a shadowy wing appearing behind him, exuding a fierce and savage aura.
However, one of his companions smiled and stood up, placing a hand in front of him. "Mr. Clark, let’s not forget we are in the academy; everything must be based on evidence."
"Then this is my evidence." Xiar took out a crystal stone from his pocket, infused it with a bit of Source Power, and placed it on the table.
Buzz~
The crystal trembled slightly before projecting a square illusory screen about one meter wide, playing what looked like a movie.
In the center of the screen sat a man with his bare upper body exposed, lounging casually in the middle of a large bed, flanked by two stunning young women.
The two girls appeared to be no older than sixteen or seventeen, dressed in flamboyant and alluring outfits, their faces adorned with heavy makeup, revealing their smooth, pale skin.
"Mr. Tony, I am Enforcer White Fox. Regarding the case of your serious injury to the academy's new student, Cody, please come with me," Xiar said seriously as she took a bracelet from her pocket. "Please put on the restraining bracelet."
"Hah! Who do you think you are? Do you even know who I am?" he replied arrogantly.
"I'm sorry, but I represent the Enforcement Team. We are the defenders of order in this academy, and no one is allowed to defy us!" Xiar calmly recited the Enforcement Team's declaration.
"You really think you're someone important? Let me tell you, even your boss wouldn't dare to arrest me. Why do you think the others from the Enforcement Team haven't come to get me? Instead, they sent you... you're really foolish!"
He shook his head in disbelief, standing up and pointing a finger at her nose. "Before you came here, someone already told me. Do you really think your Enforcement Team can threaten the heir of the Kleimans Family?"
"Are you stupid?"
"I'm sorry, but I represent the Enforcement Team, embodying justice and order for the academy..."
"Get lost! I've figured it out—your Enforcement Team is just a bunch of idiots!"
Suddenly, a loud slap echoed as his hand swung through the air, and the image abruptly cut off...
