Augustus looked at the person before him with a somewhat amused expression. 0

"If I remember correctly, we should be at war right now, right?" 0

"Indeed, but as the saying goes, one does not kill the messenger in times of war. Besides, even if you were to kill me, it wouldn't have any influence on the war; I would merely lose a body, nothing more." 0

Jiang's expression was serious. His words suggested he was indifferent to life and death, but in reality, if he couldn't gain the assistance of these individuals, defeating Acnologia would indeed be quite difficult. 0

"Swish!" 0

A blade made of sand sliced through the air but was directly dispersed by Augustus. 0

"Agil." 0

Augustus merely glanced at Agil without any hint of threat, yet beads of cold sweat began to form on Agil's forehead. 0

"Sorry." 0

With that, Agil sat back down, no longer daring to make any further moves. 0

"Alright, we should be able to have a proper discussion now. However, if your reasoning cannot convince me, I won't hesitate to destroy you, even if you are just a robot." 0

"Now that's a rather unconvincing threat." 0

Jiang shrugged. Perhaps that was the advantage of being a robot; those who knew how to play could push it to its limits, while those who didn't would be utterly bewildered. A slight provocation was enough for now; Jiang didn't want to truly anger the other party and jeopardize the negotiations. So he straightened his expression and began to outline his purpose. 0

"I came here for a simple reason; the most crucial point is to form an alliance." 0

Augustus raised an eyebrow, and beside him, Eileen couldn't help but laugh. 0

"Alright, as long as you bring that fellow named Wendy over, I can be your ally." 0

It was hard to tell whether Eileen was serious or joking; the advantage of being older was that one could read the other’s expressions well enough to mask their own feelings. 0

"That's impossible, but we can offer another kind of assistance. You're the Dragon Slayer Mage, right?" 0

This information wasn't much of a secret anymore, so Eileen nodded. 0

"However, due to the imperfections of Dragon Slayer Magic back then, you ended up becoming a dragon like Acnologia. Although we don't know how you managed to turn back, it must have something to do with Jelf. You want Wendy because you wish to shed your dragon identity and become human again, correct?" 0

Most of this was derived from analysis and facts gathered from Newton's scarf around Natsu's neck. While it might not be 100% accurate, it was close enough. 0

"Yes, that's right." 0

Eileen's gaze darkened; those experiences seemed to remind her of some unpleasant memories. 0

"We can solve your problem in two ways: one is that we can create an artificial body for you, and the other is that we can research some potions to help you break free from the dragon influence." 0

Jiang laid out two options directly, but Eileen merely scoffed. 0

“Girl, do you think this is something simple? Using your body, I will surely be at your mercy from now on, right? As for the second point, do you think I haven't researched this for a long time? That's simply unrealistic!” 0

Since being turned back into a human by Jelf, Eileen had been searching for a way to revert to her original form, but unfortunately, she had never succeeded. Perhaps the closest she came was when she possessed Wendy. 0

“We know that Dragon Slayer Magic is inherently dragon magic. How could humans possibly come up with a corresponding solution?” 0

“What, did those summoned dragons tell you the solution?” 0

Eileen was furious. The dragon that taught her Dragon Slayer Magic had given her nothing. After all the suffering she endured, why did these guys have it so easy? 0

“Well, it's not entirely that way. Sharing this information with you is no harm; consider it our sincerity.” 0

Jiang then explained the dragons' plans regarding Jelf, including the information deciphered from the scarf. Currently, Natsu and the other Dragon Slayer Mages were not in danger of turning into dragons. Although Natsu also came from four hundred years ago, because dragons like Igneel resided within Natsu and the others, they appeared to be in a dormant state but were actually researching factors that could prevent dragonization. Extracting this information might be a bit troublesome, but Newton believed he had the capability. 0

Hearing all this only made Eileen more upset. Why had she been tortured and nearly killed while pregnant when she turned into a dragon, yet these guys hadn’t experienced any of that and were instead solving the biggest difficulties? It was unfair. 0

“I disagree!” 0

It was purely an emotional outburst. In Eileen's view, even if they didn’t cooperate, what could happen? She might feel some gratitude towards Jelf, but her feelings were definitely not very positive. Since the other party had already decided to sacrifice themselves to deal with Acnologia, why should she and her group seek out trouble? They could just attack Fairy Tail directly and force them to hand over the technology they wanted; wouldn’t that be much simpler? 0

In fact, most of the Holy Twelve Shields shared this mindset. Their feelings for Jelf were not deep; perhaps in their hearts, Jelf held less importance than Augustus. This meant that as long as there was one Augustus, that would be enough. 0

“Enough! How can you ensure that what you say is correct?” 0

Augustus was already feeling some hesitation. If anyone wished for Jelf and Mavis to survive, it was likely him. However, the stakes were too high, and they had come to understand Newton's cunning. What if this was a trap to ensnare them all? 0

"Well, we don't have much evidence. How about we consider this as providing you with evidence? If you don't believe it, then the evidence is useless. But if you do believe it, then evidence is unnecessary." 0

There was indeed some evidence—recordings of Jelf from when they had spoken before. Jiang produced them directly. 0

"You can choose to think this is forged or fabricated, but I must emphasize that we absolutely did not tamper with this recording." 0

Augustus took the recording, his expression shifting between uncertainty and resolve, but he chose to play it. The room filled with Jelf's voice, followed by his plans, which sounded remarkably flawless. 0

"Alright, I can ally with you, but besides what you just mentioned, I have other conditions." 0

Relieved that an agreement had been reached, Jiang let out a breath. 0

"Okay, what are your conditions?" 0

"My condition is..." 0
