"How is everything I asked you to prepare coming along?" 0

Newton looked at Jiang, who was surrounded by scattered components that resembled a high-tech machine. 0

"Is everything ready? Are you sure you want to do this? The battle is about to begin." 0

Jiang expressed his disapproval of Newton's next move. To him, this seemingly pointless action was nothing more than a waste of resources and time. Well, it was just a matter of a certain robot being jealous. 0

"Don't worry, everything is ready now. Besides, this is our first project after getting engaged or confirming our relationship; it holds significant commemorative meaning." 0

Newton was unfazed and quickly assembled the items in his hands, which looked like a cannon. 0

"Alright, this last piece is complete." 0

Meanwhile, Miraj and Erza were puzzled. It had been quite some time, yet they hadn't seen Newton anywhere; it was as if he had vanished into thin air. In fact, it seemed that not only Newton but everyone in the Guild and the entire town was avoiding them. 0

"Did we get ourselves into some trouble?" 0

Miraj was somewhat worried; after all, such a situation was unimaginable for her, yet it had indeed happened. Unlike Miraj, Erza found the situation quite normal. To her, it made sense that everyone in the Guild would avoid her; given her strict demeanor, it was hard to imagine anyone not being intimidated by her. Thus, Miraj's decision to consult Erza from the start had been a mistake. 0

"I don't think so. I actually find it quite normal." 0

Erza's nonchalant attitude slightly influenced Miraj. 0

"That's true; perhaps that guy is just preparing something. He might be working on a new weapon. It can't possibly be just to make us happy by wasting time preparing fireworks or roses for us, right?" 0

Newton silently listened to the two women complain about him while glancing at the numerous cannon-like devices before him and the fireworks nearby. He clenched his teeth and turned to Jiang. 0

"Cancel all the fireworks activities, and inform Natsu and Gray that there will be no more fireworks. The roses ordered from the flower shop should not be sent here; instead, send them directly to the Essential Oil Extraction Factory to be made into new perfumes for sale." 0

"Understood..." 0

Though Jiang's expression remained unchanged, there was a hint of schadenfreude in his demeanor. 0

"So, are you planning to give Miraj and Erza a surprise next?" 0

"Of course! Those two wouldn't think that fireworks and roses are all a man can come up with, would they?" 0

Newton's eyes sparkled with fiery determination, as if he had encountered a century-long mission. Jiang had never seen him so full of spirit, even in the face of previous difficulties. 0

"Alright then, what do you need me to prepare?" 0

Jiang was ready for whatever wasteful endeavor lay ahead. 0

"How about I set up an enormous banner and write on it just how much I adore both of them?" 0

Newton had to admit that he was clueless when it came to romantic gestures. Fireworks and roses might be the extent of his creativity; perhaps diamonds or shopping could work too, but that seemed entirely unrealistic. He couldn't just take the two Boss ladies to a mall and say, "Pick whatever you like; I'll cover the bill." That would be ridiculous. 0

Jiang understood that Newton was joking, so he stood there watching him. Yet, it seemed Newton could see endless disdain reflected in Jiang's eyes. 0

"Alright, alright, I get it. I know this sounds silly. Just help me prepare some flour and powdered sugar..." 0

Newton listed off dozens of ingredients needed for his plan. 0

"Are you preparing a heartfelt dinner?" 0

Ginger nodded. Although it was simple, sometimes a romantic dinner could indeed play a great role in setting the mood. 0

"Yes, Mira's hobby is cooking, and Erza loves desserts, beautiful clothes, and armor. The only way I can think of to make them both happy is through food, so I'm planning to make a big cake." 0

Newton was left with no choice or perhaps limited by his meager brain capacity, he could only come up with such a solution. 0

"Well, I think that's a good idea." 0

Ginger nodded and then sent his robotic clone to prepare the ingredients. 0

"So, what about all those fireworks and things?" 0

"Take them all to the port. I never intended to waste them. Although they can launch fireworks, loading them with powerful shells is still quite effective. Even simple fireworks can hurt if they hit someone!" 0

Seeing Newton's determined expression, Ginger thought that some things didn't need reminding. The result of this thought was... 0

"Boom!" 0

"Strange! Why is there such a big difference between desserts and regular dishes?" 0

Those familiar with cooking would know that Chinese cuisine is divided into red and white categories; snacks fall under the white category. Most people can manage to stir-fry a dish, but making snacks or Western-style cakes is another story altogether. Newton initially thought it wouldn't be a problem, but life has its complexities, and not everything develops as expected. Thus, Newton faced a disaster—or rather, the kitchen he used did. The entire kitchen looked like it had been ravaged overnight, resembling a girl who had been through an ordeal—eyes rolled back, tongue out, and hands making peace signs. Meanwhile, Newton seemed quite dissatisfied, frowning and muttering phrases like "this shouldn't be happening." 0

Ginger sighed helplessly. It was puzzling how a robot could sigh with such sophistication. However, Newton didn't seek Ginger's help; instead, he struggled alone against the flour and eggs. Fortunately, in the end, Newton managed to produce a cake that was barely edible, but that was already in the past. 0

"What is this all about..." 0

Newton sighed, quietly scooping a fingerful of cream. The cream, being store-bought, wasn't too bad, but looking at the slightly charred cake beneath the pure white frosting made him sigh once more. 0

"What's wrong?" 0

"Well, I was hoping to make a cake during this time to surprise you, Mira and Erza, but who would have thought..." 0

Newton turned his head in resignation, glancing at Miraj and Erza, who stood before him with uncertain expressions. He offered an awkward smile. 0

"I'm sorry, I'm not very good at this, and it's a bit late. Besides, it doesn't taste that great." 0

Miraj walked over as well and took a scoop for herself. 0

"It's really sweet. Erza, why don't you come and try some?" 0

Erza approached and took a bite. Honestly, it was quite different from what she had eaten before, but since it was made by someone special, the meaning behind it was entirely different. So... 0

"Well, I actually think it's delicious." 0

Well, I suppose this counts as a belated Valentine's Day celebration? 0
