The wedding was an incredibly important event for every girl. When a girl willingly gives herself to someone, it is not just a simple phrase; it is a lifelong commitment. For some, it may seem like just a formality, but for many others, it is a once-in-a-lifetime occasion.
The sky was a clear blue, with white clouds above depicting shapes of happiness. Of course, much of this was due to Newton's work, using magic to manipulate the air and employing Mage to create corresponding shapes in the sky. Below, the green lawn was adorned with colorful flowers and birds fluttered about; everything felt like a dream.
Everyone was dressed in suits, even Gray was not in his usual attire. Newton wore a fitted white suit with minimal decoration, accented by simple golden patterns that highlighted the suit's elegance. A smile he could not suppress graced his face as he stood beside his groomsmen, including Natsu Dragneel and Gajeel. Although these guys could be troublesome at times, if it came to choosing groomsmen, the members of Azure Wind Antelope would have been more suitable than those from Fairy Tail. But who could blame him? They were his guildmates after all. Besides, it seemed these guys were on their best behavior today, so having them as groomsmen was no issue.
Marriage was significant for women, but it was equally important for men. Newton hoped that during such an important moment in his life, he would be surrounded by his companions.
The host of the ceremony was Jin. Newton had invited him to be one of the groomsmen, but Jin declined. After asking who the groomsmen would be and learning that Newton planned to choose members from his guild, Jin decided against it. Although he trusted that Newton wouldn't cause trouble today, he had complete faith in the mischief-making abilities of Fairy Tail. Being around them might lead to complications; it was better to stay as the host and keep his distance from them. On the other hand, Ginger happily accepted the invitation to be a bridesmaid, although at that moment, the bride had yet to appear.
First came some idle chatter from the host before the bride made her entrance.
In a pure white wedding dress and holding a bouquet of flowers, she looked like something out of a fairy tale.
Two stunning figures adorned in immaculate wedding gowns left everyone speechless. Even among the all-female Mermaid's Heel, there were few as beautiful as they were. Leading the way were Biska's daughter Asuka and Makao's son Romeo. Although Romeo was getting older, Newton had still pulled him into service as an attendant. Following closely behind were Wendy and Sherria, both sweet and lovely girls blushing as they held up the train of the wedding dress.
"Sister..."
Tears streamed down Elfman's face. He and Lisanna had always been cared for by their sister; he felt a maternal bond towards her. Now seeing her in a wedding dress about to marry someone she loved filled him with genuine happiness.
"Your smile looks terrible."
Though Lisanna said this, her own smile was mixed with tears.
The two brides were led onto the stage and stood before Newton. After confirming with Jin, Newton placed rings on their fingers once more, causing an explosion of cheers and applause throughout the venue. Colorful confetti flew through the air as everyone sincerely offered their blessings.
"Thank you..."
Newton embraced both women in his arms, feeling an unreal sensation wash over him. Was this really marriage? Yet feeling their warmth confirmed it—he had indeed married; he had started a family in this world...
"What nonsense are you talking about..."
Miraj smiled at Newton.
"You've taken care of us more than we have of you."
"Yes, so please continue to look after us..."
Their words echoed like those from their first meeting; only this time, the care they promised would last a lifetime.
"Hahaha, this is youth! When are you going to find me a girlfriend? I can't wait to have four generations under one roof!"
Makarov looked at Laxus, whose face turned completely green.
"UFO!"
"Huh?"
By the time Makarov turned back, Laxus had already vanished into the vast crowd.
"Hey, you slackers from the Thunder God Clan, go catch him and make sure he finds a girlfriend for me at the wedding!"
Makarov skillfully issued his orders to the Thunder God Clan.
"Sorry, I will absolutely not betray Lord Laxus!"
Sting, being a loyal follower of Laxus, didn't hesitate to stand up even against the President.
"I don't really care."
In contrast, Bigusro was indifferent but thought of something quite interesting.
"But I am really curious about what kind of girlfriend Laxus would choose."
Although Laxus had a bit of a tsundere personality, it was undeniable that he was tall, rich, and handsome with formidable strength. He would make an excellent boyfriend, provided one could tolerate his proud nature.
However, Bigusro's comment made Sting feel like he might one day help Laxus raise children. Just imagining a kid resembling Laxus by seven or eight points was thrilling.
"Alright, I agree."
In the end, Sting couldn't resist the temptation of his own desires and agreed to the long-winded plan of capturing Laxus and finding him a girlfriend.
"Oh, are we going to catch Laxus?"
Natsu appeared out of nowhere.
"You reminded me before not to disturb Newton and Erza. Since that's the case, then catching Laxus shouldn't be a problem, right?"
Natsu clenched his fists tightly.
"I'm fired up!"
"Then count me in too!" Gray said, his hands balled into fists.
"Lord Gray, please marry me!" Zhubian rushed over.
"Oh, this seems interesting!" Gajeel chimed in, equally spirited.
"Alright, let's see who can catch Laxus first!"
Then chaos erupted among everyone.
"I knew it..." Jin sighed, fully aware that this would happen.
"Haha, it's fine. Let everyone go wild; we’re all used to it by now, right?"
Yeah, for now, let them have a good rest...
