The longer time dragged on, the less apparent the advantages of Eser and Sera became, gradually turning into disadvantages, making their eventual capture unsurprising. In fact, during the battle, as Miraj's strength continued to grow, she directly absorbed Sera's existence, swiftly ending the fight. Newton didn't mind much; after all, he had already studied these demons extensively through Frenzied Blossom, so letting Miraj absorb Sera was fine. 0

On the other hand, Eser was not directly absorbed by Miraj but was instead pinned down by Erza and subjected to various forms of humiliation. 0

"What are you planning to do next?" 0

Newton looked at Minerva. With both of them dead, it wouldn't be easy to explain if he just let Minerva return. If questioned by Underworld Gate about how she planned to go back without an explanation, it could lead to trouble. 0

"I don't know. But even if I returned now, it wouldn't mean much. From your expression, I can tell you've learned quite a bit about Underworld Gate. My going back wouldn't serve any purpose. What troubles me more is that I seem to have found a trace of my father there..." 0

After Geman was dealt with by Minerva and the Twin Dragons, Minerva initially thought it best to let him live out his days in peace. However, after the Eclipse Gate incident occurred nearby the palace, most of the area was destroyed, and many lives were lost in that disaster. Geman also vanished during this catastrophe; Minerva had assumed he was dead until she unexpectedly encountered him at Underworld Gate, where he had been transformed. 0

"If possible, I'd like to go see him. After all, I know my father's character well. Once transformed, he would definitely come back to cause us trouble." 0

Minerva still hoped for a chance to return and check on things. 0

"Well, I can't do much now. There's only Eser left, and Sera has already been absorbed by Miraj. If you want to go back, then Miraj will have to impersonate Sera and accompany you. As for Eser, let's hold off on killing him for now. We'll head back first and extract information from him about who else knows about this visit so we can avoid exposing ourselves." 0

Minerva nodded and then joined Newton and the others as they led Eser back. They didn't return directly to Fairy Tail but went straight to Newton's base to confine Eser first. However, upon their return, Jiang brought some unsettling news. 0

"The Guild has been attacked." 0

Jiang said this with a remarkably calm expression. Newton initially wondered why he hadn't been informed sooner but seeing Jiang's demeanor suggested that perhaps the situation wasn't as dire as it seemed? 0

"What happened?" 0

Newton let the armored figure take Eser to the interrogation room before he began to ask Jiang what had transpired. 0

"It was like this. Shortly after you left, the Guild was attacked. Fortunately, the damage wasn't severe, but a few people were hurt quite badly..." 0

Jiang then recounted the scene from that day, revealing that one man bore a striking resemblance to Gray. Through their conversation, Newton learned that this man was actually Gray's father... Silver... but according to the other party, he was not Gray's father at all; he was a demon named Edirio. Years ago, Edirio had been sealed by Gray's master, Uru, and his soul had escaped into Silver's body, allowing him to resurrect through Silver. 0

There were also other members of Nine Ghosts Gate involved, some using water spells and others capable of absorbing or even utilizing others' magic. However, the most troubling aspect was Gray's emotional connection to the situation; everyone could see how much he cared for his father and no one wanted him to kill him. Although Gray eventually made up his mind, his resolution was to use Absolute Ice to seal away his father. 0

Seeing this left Newton utterly helpless. Why did Gray always resort to this magic when it came to Edirio? It seemed like he had a personal vendetta against both the demon and the magic itself. 0

Fortunately, this incident occurred within the Guild where many people were present. Makarov quickly intervened; otherwise, who knew what Gray might have done? It had to be noted that Silver was incredibly powerful. Although he used a form of Ice Magic similar to Gray's, it was actually Ice Devil Slayer Magic—essentially a higher-tier magic specifically designed for battling demons. Even if Gray's father had once been a Mage, which remained uncertain, his current strength would be terrifying. Having been deprived of his body since Gray's time and training until now only amplified that power. 0

However, Newton found himself puzzled: why did they send so few people for an ambush? Did they really think three individuals could successfully attack a Guild? 0

In truth, Newton was overthinking it. With Frenzied Blossom captured and the Wolf captured as well, Nine Ghosts Gate had lost two members right off the bat. Sending two to attack him and three against the Guild accounted for seven people total. The remaining two included Kis, a Necromancer, and another individual who was still recovering from self-detonation. This meant they had already mobilized their maximum available combatants; while there were lesser demons than Nine Ghosts Gate, they weren't worth mentioning. 0

Attacking Fairy Tail with just a few people wouldn't work; although these three were formidable fighters—Gray had been completely suppressed by Silver without showing any combat ability—Natsu had no concept of mercy. Having fought Gray for years, Natsu had nearly maxed out his skills against ice magic and held an advantage against Silver. 0

As for the one using absorption spells, he faced off against Witch's Sin members; Twisted Magic of the Night prevented him from even touching them while they controlled and overwhelmed him. 0

Regarding the water spell user—did you remember Zhubian? When faced with Zhubian, who was in love with Gray, she exploded with rage at the thought of someone invading her beloved's father's body. Seeing Gray in such distress pushed Zhubian over the edge as she unleashed her water magic to crush her opponent. 0

The most crucial moment was when Laxus woke up, although no one knew exactly when. He then brought the battle to its final conclusion, but none of the three remained. 0
