However, just as Eser and Sera were preparing to watch the show, a sharp blade seemed to cross space and appeared directly behind Sera. Sera had no reaction at all, and a deep wound that could be seen to the bone appeared on her back.
Newton reacted quickly as well; Minerva manipulated space to bring Erza directly behind Sera, delivering a devastating blow to the opponent. Meanwhile, Miraj charged towards Eser, the burly demon, and had already begun the process of absorption.
"Why do I smell the scent of a demon on you, and it feels so familiar?"
Eser immediately sensed why the other felt familiar. However, his movements were swift. As one of the Nine Ghosts Gate, his spell was called Demon Blade, which essentially allowed his body to become as sharp as a blade, enabling him to unleash powerful slashes or engage in close combat—quite terrifying.
Unfortunately for him, this time Miraj was absorbing the abilities of the Wolf Demon, whose power was explosive in nature. As the saying goes, explosions are art; the Wolf had easily destroyed the entire Magic Council with his explosive curse and had even managed to hold off Natsu for a while. If it weren't for the fire dragon's magic being particularly effective against the Wolf's spells, he would have been a very difficult opponent.

"Unfortunately, Silver has already taken people over there. Although I only heard that you took away that useless Crawford, and Gerard seems to have gone over to your side as well. You should be the strongest fighting force of that Guild. Even if you come over and kill the three of us, what difference would it make? Your Guild will definitely be wiped out by those guys."
Newton felt no sense of provocation from Eser. It was not that he was dismissive; although the three of them had come out, Makarov, Natsu, and Gray were still back at their Guild. Besides, he had heard that the Thunder God Clan had nearly recovered from their injuries. Laxus was also rapidly healing under Jang's treatment. As long as they expelled the Demon Particles, recovery would be instantaneous. If this fighting strength wasn't enough, there were also the people from Witch's Sin. Moreover, Newton's earlier call was not made in vain. If so many of them were wiped out by Underworld Gate, then Newton would truly have nothing left to say.
On the other side, Sera was enduring the pain in her back.
"Minerva, do you dare betray us?"
Sera had brought Minerva and Eser along with the idea of having one control, one output, and one mobility—three people forming a rather perfect combination. However, she never expected that there would be a traitor among them, especially one responsible for mobility. She couldn't believe that the other side trusted someone who had been modified by demons without worrying about betrayal. If Minerva truly betrayed them, she would definitely inform Underworld Gate about Newton's relevant information. This wasn't Newton boasting; facing an enemy with potentially endless tactics, such a small force either meant Underworld Gate was overly arrogant or Minerva was leading these people over as a gift. Furthermore, after Minerva appeared and made a gesture towards their side—a simple gesture for communication—Newton understood immediately that Minerva was fine, leading to a remarkably tacit cooperation that severely injured Sera.
"Betrayal? What a pity; I never intended to join Underworld Gate from the very beginning..."
Minerva peeled away a piece of skin from her body. Surprisingly, there was no gory scene; it resembled a facial mask instead.
"Thanks to Newton's bionic skin, it's indistinguishable from real skin. Otherwise, I would really have to think about how to remove such an unsightly mark in the future."
Minerva looked disdainfully at the mark on the piece of skin she had removed—it was indeed the emblem of Underworld Gate.
"Minerva, kill yourself!"
Sera issued the command to Minerva.
"How ridiculous! Sera, have you forgotten? I warned you countless times. I endured so much pain just to resist your command, Spell!"
Minerva's powerful magic surged forth, her body taking on a slightly inhuman form. This was one of the prices she paid for her newfound strength. In an instant, she teleported behind Sera and plunged her hand directly into Sera's wound.
"Ahhhhh!"
Sera let out a cry of agony.
"Self-breakthrough!"
Immediately, Minerva vanished from her spot, only to reappear in another location. Sera was already there, and with what seemed like a light punch, she struck Minerva on the shoulder. Minerva was sent crashing to the ground, creating spiderweb-like cracks on the surface. She instantly lost consciousness.
Sera then turned her gaze toward Erza. With just a look, Erza felt a tangible sense of impact.
On the other side, Eser also unleashed his power. His limbs transformed into blades, and his body shimmered with a metallic sheen.
"Demon Blade: Crescent Moon!"
In an instant, it felt as if the entire forest had been cleaved in half. The scene left Erza and Miraj at a disadvantage, putting them in immediate peril.
