"Where is this place?"
Frenzied Blossom felt as if her mind had exploded. Looking around, she realized she was in a completely unfamiliar environment, with walls gleaming like metal, furniture made of an unknown white material, and a mysterious man sitting right in the center.
"Isn't your spell working?"
Frenzied Blossom had already tried using her spell, but it had no effect whatsoever.
"Well, I suggest you take a look at your current situation first."
Newton seemed quite helpless. She couldn't even feel what she was wearing; could it be that demons had some sort of dull characteristic?
At that moment, Frenzied Blossom noticed she was clad in armor. Her entire body was encased in it. Although she didn't feel suffocated for some reason, she also sensed not a trace of magic power.
"Don't bother; that armor is specifically designed to serve as a prison. It completely isolates magic power, and I've already expelled all the magic from your body. So right now, you're probably just like an ordinary person—though perhaps a bit better than an average human."
Newton looked at the body examination report for Frenzied Blossom. It was vastly different from that of a human. Although her appearance was similar to that of a human, the internal differences were significant.
"I just tested it; your body's recovery ability is much stronger than that of an average person. So does this mean I can do whatever I want to you without worrying about you dying easily?"
"You'd better kill me; otherwise, I will make you regret it."
The armor not only isolated Frenzied Blossom from magic but also controlled her actions. She could feel that while her movements appeared unrestricted, whenever she tried to exert herself, there was always a sense of resistance.
"Killing you? I think if I just killed you like that, I'd be the one regretting it..."
Newton shrugged.
"See? If you can tell me something about the Underworld Gate, like detailed information on the Nine Ghosts Gate or something similar, I'd be more than happy to send you off to die."
"Hmph..."
Frenzied Blossom turned her head away with a cold smile.
"I forgot to tell you, what you've done actually heightens sensitivity. I developed a corresponding potion a long time ago, but I thought it was rather inhumane, so I never used it."
Newton snapped his fingers, and a metallic tube extended down from the ceiling, directly connecting to the back of Frenzied Blossom's armor. It injected some liquid into her.
"Ugh..."
Frenzied Blossom's expression immediately turned tense. Suddenly, her eyes bulged out like a goldfish, and she opened her mouth as if to scream. However, Newton had already disabled the armor's sound function; he wasn't a sadist. Using the potion was merely a means to gather information, and he had no interest in hearing any wails.
Watching as Frenzied Blossom's gaze gradually lost focus, Newton noted that she was losing the strength to support her own body. He snapped his fingers again, and the liquid inside the armor began to drain out while another type of liquid started to flow in through the tube.
"Ha... Ha..."
Frenzied Blossom's expression gradually cleared up, though she was completely drenched, as if she had just been pulled out of water. Her eyes looked at Newton with fury, as if she wanted to tear him apart.
"Ugh..."
She made another sound, this time filled with relief, and involuntarily closed her eyes.
"How about now? Can you tell me something?"
Upon hearing Newton's voice, Frenzied Blossom immediately opened her eyes wide and stared at him intently, her entire demeanor brimming with vigilance.
"Still not willing to speak..."
Newton chuckled.
"Then let's do this again..."
Like Reincarnation, there was once again pain, followed by the relief that comes after suffering.
"Hah... Hahahahaha... Useless! I've already gotten used to it. Is this all the pain you can inflict? This level of suffering cannot make me submit!"
Frenzied Blossom laughed heartily. Although she had fallen into the hands of her enemies, they would never make her yield.
"Well, you have to admit..."
Newton nodded. He never thought much of pain; on the contrary, it was often joy that led people astray.
"So, you're quite happy now, aren't you? But even if you're happy, don't you think your laughter is a bit excessive?"
Newton held up a mirror and presented it to Frenzied Blossom. Only then did she notice that the corners of her mouth were inexplicably turned up. Although she felt happy at the moment, she didn't want to smile.
"Wait, what else have you done to me?"
"So it turns out demons are just Idiots, huh? Did you not consider that after such terrifying pain, it wouldn't be possible to feel comfortable so quickly? Naturally, I added some things to the mix. The harm it does to humans is quite significant, and the amount I gave you would have been lethal for an ordinary person. Yet here you are, looking perfectly fine. But by now, your mind should be under Influence, right?"
Newton stretched lazily. It was worth his wait here; now he was eager to see whether this terrifying thing could truly fulfill its intended purpose.
"I will absolutely not submit!"
Frenzied Blossom gritted her teeth, but her body felt weak and limp, lacking any strength.
"Oh really? I'm looking forward to you voluntarily revealing everything."
Newton stood up and turned to leave.
"Keep an eye on this one. Don't let her die. Give her the best nutrients, but don't provide anything else."
Newton ignored the shouting of Frenzied Blossom behind him and walked away, while Ginger and Miraj waited outside.
"How did it go?"
Miraj looked at Newton, noting that he wasn't covered in blood. It seemed he hadn't used any overly gruesome methods, which made her breathe a sigh of relief.
"I didn't get anything out of them. We'll have to try again this afternoon. What about Erza and the others?"
Newton couldn't just drug the other party himself; that method was a bit too dirty, and it wouldn't be good to lead his friends astray.
"They haven't returned yet. Apparently, they were left in Sun Village. The flames there are actually from the fire dragon summoned by Eclipse Gate. It seems to know Natsu, and through Natsu's flames, it was completely revived. Then Wendy used her magic to retrieve its soul. That Freya seems to indeed be from Sun Village..."
Miraj briefly explained the situation regarding Sun Village.
"Oh, and that village seems to have been affected by a Demon Slayer's magic, which is why it ended up like that. But that Demon Slayer appears to be from Underworld Gate..."
"Demon Slayer..."
Newton curled his lips in disdain. Slaying demons, dragons, gods—was there anything magic couldn't handle? He sighed; if Underworld Gate was indeed filled with demons, it seemed he would need to look into Demon Extermination Magic after all.
