Ginger's strength was formidable; in fact, during normal times, she could easily match Erza. However, if magic was the essence of a Mage, then the mind was the essence of magic itself. Erza's mental fortitude and resilience were not something an ordinary person could compare to. Yet, Frenzied Blossom was unaware of this; facing Erza, she thought Erza was merely another existence like Ginger.
Erza immediately changed her armor, donning a fierce-looking set of battle gear that transformed her presence into that of a war goddess.
"How ridiculous..."
Frenzied Blossom snapped her fingers arrogantly, waiting with a smile for Erza to collapse in despair. To her surprise, Erza charged forward and swung a massive sword at Frenzied Blossom, resembling a cleaver.
Frenzied Blossom sidestepped the attack, but Erza used her sword as a pivot and executed a downward kick in mid-air. Frenzied Blossom found herself pinned to the ground by Erza, who swiftly changed her armor again. Countless swords rained down from above, but Erza suddenly felt an immense force beneath her, and she was sent flying. Although the swords remained embedded in the ground, Frenzied Blossom had already vacated the spot.
"I'm quite surprised. I thought I had made your senses countless times more sensitive. Even a gentle breeze should feel like a knife cutting through you. Why do you seem completely unaffected by my influence?"
Frenzied Blossom expressed her astonishment.
"Could it be that you and this fellow are actually Magical Puppets?"
"No, my senses have indeed been heightened by you, but how could such minor pain possibly bring me down?"
Erza's gaze was sharp; even if it hurt, so what? She was no ordinary person. From being sold as a slave to losing an eye and awakening her magic, she had earned the title of Fairy Queen through countless battles. What could pain from one hundred opponents in the Great Magic Games do to her?
"Hah, I want to see just how strong you really are."
Feeling provoked, Frenzied Blossom instantly vanished from sight. Even Erza couldn't track her movement, and suddenly she felt as if she had been cleaved in two.
"Ugh!"
Erza collapsed to the ground, her armor soaked with sweat as she trembled uncontrollably.
"Ha, as a human, how could you possibly endure such a thing?"
Frenzied Blossom looked down at Erza.
"Just a mere human, and yet you dare to challenge me?"
Frenzied Blossom reached out and grabbed Erza's hair, the tearing pain causing Erza to feel faint at any moment.
"Truly beautiful. But your beauty only piques my interest further. Let me take you back and play with you slowly."
"Swish!"
A cold glint flashed past Frenzied Blossom's back as Jiang wielded Erza's sword. Although her mouth had not yet recovered, her body was already moving without much hindrance. A line of blood appeared on Frenzied Blossom's back, and with an expressionless face, she tossed Erza aside.
"You puppet, do you really think I won't dismantle you?"
Frenzied Blossom vanished once more, reappearing in front of Jiang in the next instant. Her claw-like hand seemed capable of tearing through space as it slashed toward Jiang's neck.
Jiang kicked out, but Frenzied Blossom easily caught his foot. The claws above were blocked by Jiang's sword, but Frenzied Blossom simply seized Jiang's leg and hurled him like a sack of flour, sending him crashing into five or six large trees before coming to a stop.
"Creak..."
Jiang's body felt like an old door that hadn't been oiled in ages; even the slightest movement produced a loud noise. Yet he held tightly onto the sword in his hand.
"Quite sturdy indeed. I wonder how many fine materials your creator used. It's a pity your strength is only this much."
Frenzied Blossom approached Ginger, extending her hand as magic gathered at her fingertips. A magical orb formed, ready to obliterate Ginger with a single strike.
"Don't even think about self-destructing, or I can't guarantee that the girl over there won't be caught in your blast."
Frenzied Blossom's eyes reflected her boredom before she launched the magic orb. However, once again, she was interrupted. Erza had somehow changed into a new outfit, which was essentially just a chest wrap on top and fiery-colored fabric below, wielding a katana in her hands.
At that moment, Erza appeared behind Frenzied Blossom, mirroring Ginger's earlier attack as she swung her katana toward Frenzied Blossom's back.
"Hah, that same trick won't work on me."
Frenzied Blossom's magic was still active, leaving her curious as to how this woman could still move. But curiosity aside, now was not the time for research; capturing this woman would provide plenty of opportunities for that later.
Turning around, Frenzied Blossom aimed to punch Erza. Yet despite possibly being younger than Frenzied Blossom, Erza's combat instincts were sharper than many others. She twisted mid-air and dodged Frenzied Blossom's attack, swinging her blade back at her opponent.
"Interesting."
Frenzied Blossom raised one arm to block Erza's strike, but mid-air, Erza's sword suddenly transformed into a short blade. It sliced past Frenzied Blossom's arm before shifting back into a long sword, slashing upward and embedding itself halfway into Frenzied Blossom's arms while leaving two deep gashes across her chest.
"Ugh!"
Frenzied Blossom staggered backward, attempting to use the momentum to lessen the damage from Erza's attack. However, she seemed to have forgotten about Ginger behind her. Though Ginger could only do so much at that moment, even a slight obstruction was enough; all it took was a small movement for Frenzied Blossom to trip over and fall backward.
"Damn!"
Frenzied Blossom immediately realized her oversight. She hadn't expected the Puppet she had dispatched so easily would cause her such trouble. Had she known, she would have preferred to eliminate it in an instant. But Erza wasn't going to let Frenzied Blossom dwell on that; she swung her dual swords once more toward Frenzied Blossom.
"Such a hassle."
Frenzied Blossom suddenly closed her eyes, then opened them again. The magical energy around her erupted in geometric forms, and the sudden burst of power blew both Erza and Ginger away.
"I didn't expect that just a single Puppet could force me to use my full strength. Tell me, which Guild do you belong to?"
Frenzied Blossom seemed to be giving Erza and Ginger a lot of face, but at that moment, she felt incredibly strong—much stronger than before.
"Fairy Tail... Erza!"
Then Erza remembered that Ginger wasn't speaking at the moment and added another line.
"Fairy Tail... Ginger!"
"Is that so?"
Frenzied Blossom suddenly laughed.
"Fairy Tail, huh? In that case, it's even more necessary to capture you both..."
