“What are you?” 0

Jiang immediately looked at the other person with caution. 0

“I’m even more curious as to why my magic has no effect on you,” the burly man said, staring at Jiang. His name was Delyate, a member of the Dark Guild known as Dream Demon Eye. He wielded a type of magic called Devolution Magic, which could revert a person’s magical power and physical attributes back to a previous state. Coupled with his own formidable physique, he could easily dominate others. 0

“Sorry, I have no obligation to answer you. Besides, if I defeat you, they should be able to return to normal, right?” 0

Jiang assumed a fighting stance, keeping a wary eye on Delyate. Although it seemed that the magic he cast had no effect on her mechanical body, she couldn't dismiss the possibility that he had other spells up his sleeve. It was better to deal with him quickly. 0

Jiang's body was crafted from the finest materials by Newton himself. To ensure she possessed nearly limitless energy, Newton had even embedded a piece of the Philosopher's Stone within her. With access to various combat data in her database, Jiang's combat abilities were undoubtedly on par with any S-Class Mage. 0

Delyate, unaware of why his magic had no effect on Jiang, was still fully confident in his strength. He swung his massive hand and charged at her, the sound of rushing wind accompanying his movement, resembling a humanoid beast. 0

However, Jiang remained calm and took off into the air. After all, she was a robot; flying was incredibly easy for her. As she ascended, Natsu and the others would have to face Delyate head-on. In the past, they might have been fine after being hit by him—he would sustain injuries instead—but now, if they were struck, it would feel like certain doom. 0

Jiang frowned slightly and then suddenly disassembled her right hand. It was surprising to see such a beautiful girl’s hand break apart and reassemble onto her arm, transforming what should have been bone into a cannon barrel. 0

“Boom!” 0

The simplest direct attack—a blue energy sphere exploded against Delyate’s body as if it had no flight time at all. However, all that happened was that a layer of black appeared on his skin and his clothes became tattered; he seemed hardly harmed at all. This moment revealed Delyate’s true appearance: around his mouth were tufts of blue fur, and his teeth resembled those of a shark. Was this what demons looked like? Clearly, this wasn’t over yet; Delyate’s body began to change suddenly. His aura turned chaotic and sinister as his skin changed to an odd color. His upper limbs grew bulkier, making him appear somewhat deformed. 0

“Roar!” 0

"Warning, unknown magical fluctuations detected." 0

Newton and Miraj's armor immediately sounded the alarm. 0

"Is this the demon?" 0

Newton glanced at Miraj. Although he had gathered a lot of information related to demons, he had never encountered the essence of a demon or their combat style firsthand. This time, observing the battle between Jiang and Delyate would surely provide him with a wealth of useful data. 0

"Well, after all, there are significant differences even among demons. Just like the demons that Erza and the others faced in Curse Song, and the one that destroyed Gray's hometown. However, this magical fluctuation cannot be mistaken." 0

After all, the demon race was something Jelf had created, so there must be distinctions. If they were identical, one would have to admire Jelf's aesthetic sense, though his current taste was quite something. 0

After transforming, Delyate clearly experienced a substantial boost in both power and speed. Although Jiang was currently airborne, Delyate reached his height with just a single leap. However, it seemed that transformation came with consequences; Delyate appeared to have completely lost his rationality. The chaos of his magic was the best proof of this—his attacks became erratic. He jumped beside Jiang, attempting a close-quarters attack, but Jiang kicked him back effortlessly. 0

Jiang then descended rapidly, following Delyate closely. He struck Delyate's chest with both fists, causing Delyate to spit out a mouthful of blood. Yet this punch seemed to bring Delyate back to his senses; realizing he was no match for Jiang, he quickly scrambled to his feet and charged toward a group of nearby 'ghosts.' 0

"Haha, let me take care of this guy! Fire Dragon's Iron Fist!" 0

A small flame appeared in Natsu's hand, resembling something that could light birthday candles. Erza grabbed Natsu and began to run backward. 0

"What are you doing, idiot? Not only have our bodies shrunk, but our magic has also reverted! You're just making things harder for Jiang!" 0

"Not quite, Erza. While using magic has indeed become more challenging, our wits haven't changed..." 0

Gray chuckled mischievously. Meanwhile, Delyate noticed that the few kids who had been on the ground were now nowhere to be seen, as if they had turned invisible. What he failed to notice was that several ice flowers had appeared in front of him without him realizing it. 0

“Fire Dragon's Iron Fist!” 0

Although the flames had lost much of their power, when they struck a certain spot, the impact was still formidable—at least for the male Delyate. When Natsu appeared below him with a mischievous grin, a few ice flowers behind him sighed in resignation. Then Erza threw her ‘Flying Sword’, but Delyate dodged it effortlessly. 0

“Damn ghost!” 0

“Don’t underestimate ghosts. You should know that the most essential element of transformation magic is imagination. Fortunately, a child's heart and imagination are incredibly rich,” Gray said proudly. 0

“And besides, can you really ignore another person?” 0

Only then did Delyate realize he had forgotten someone. At some point, Jiang had seized the sword that Erza had thrown and swung it toward Delyate's vital points, but it was blocked by either a person or a demon. 0

“Ha! It seems you are also worthless, not worth my enhancement.” 0

With that, Delyate turned into a paper-thin figure, while the others returned to their original forms. 0

“What about you? Are you worth being transformed into soldiers?” 0
