The capital city, even at night, was still bustling with people. With the Great Magic Games taking place, the attention of the entire nation was focused here, making it exceptionally lively. 0

Marlon strolled down the street like an ordinary person attending a festival, accompanied by Ginger. 0

"Is it really okay to bring me out? Won't Miraj and Erza get angry?" Ginger asked, holding nothing in her hands while Marlon carried an assortment of snacks: Takoyaki, Taiyaki, candied apples, fried noodles, grilled squid, and cotton candy. He looked quite happy, but Ginger hadn’t even taken off her mask. 0

"It's fine. They should still be worrying about tomorrow's competition anyway, and..." 0

Marlon glanced at Ginger. 0

"Can't you help me carry some of this?" 0

"No way. I can't eat any of that," Ginger replied without hesitation, refusing Marlon's request. 0

"But aren't we supposed to be gathering some information? Is it really okay to just wander around here?" 0

"This isn't just wandering. The vendors have already given me quite a bit of information," Marlon said as he picked up a piece of Takoyaki. 0

"Sisi, it's so hot! Ah, delicious~" 0

"Don't think I'm just eating; the stalls here have basically been taken over by our people. At least I've seen this guy who makes Takoyaki at a Dark Guild gathering. It looks like we've really integrated ourselves into this place." 0

Marlon continued to eat without a care, and he looked less like someone gathering information and more like someone simply enjoying good food. 0

"And besides, I have an appointment." 0

Marlon finished the last piece of Takoyaki and headed toward a quieter area, gradually making his way with Jiang to the entrance of the inn where Raven Tail was staying. 0

"Sir, if you're just here to cause trouble for Raven Tail, it could easily raise suspicions about you." 0

Although Jiang was also quite displeased with some of Raven Tail's tactics, acting recklessly would likely expose them. 0

"Don't worry; it's just a casual visit." 0

Marlon handed his snacks to Jiang. 0

"Hold these for me; I'll be right back." 0

With that, Newton vanished from sight, leaving Jiang with no choice but to helplessly tidy up the snacks Marlon had dropped and wait quietly outside for his return. 0

Sneaking around might seem cool, but in reality, it was quite simple. To those who didn't know you, you were just an ordinary person; as long as you acted normally, everything would be fine. 0

Marlon went straight to the back door, took a server's uniform off a drying rack, put it on, and entered the kitchen. 0

"Room 40's meal—hurry up and deliver it!" 0

After all, it was a guild, so they rented the entire inn. Marlon didn’t need to worry about who was in which room; he just had to sneak in. 0

“I’ll take care of this.” 0

Marlon approached, pushing the food cart toward Room 40. 0

“Ding ding ding, hello, I’m your server, here’s the meal for Room 40.” 0

“Got it. Why did it take you so long?” 0

The door was opened by a man who looked quite intimidating. Marlon couldn’t help but think that Ivan Dolea really had no standards; this guy looked like a villain with no future at all. 0

“Sorry, sorry.” 0

Marlon smiled humbly. 0

“Hmph, get lost. That smile is really off-putting; it’s ruining my appetite.” 0

The man turned to leave, but Marlon quickly jabbed a syringe into the back of his neck and supported him as he slumped. 0

“What’s wrong, Teach? You…” 0

A room couldn’t possibly hold just one person, but before anyone inside could react, several tranquilizer darts had already taken down everyone present. 0

Marlon ensured that these guys wouldn’t wake up for at least a short while before slowly making his way out. He returned the cart to the kitchen and, seeing that no one was paying attention, slipped back into the room once more. 0

"Wow!" 0

The original occupant of the room suddenly woke up, only to realize that everyone was tied up and had cloth stuffed in their mouths. 0

"Mmm mmm mmm!" 0

Several people glared at Marlon with fierce eyes, looking as if they wanted to devour him alive. 0

"Don't look at me like that. I just want to ask you a few questions." 0

Marlon pulled out a scalpel from his hand. 0

"Do you know that while human life is fragile, it can also be remarkably resilient? People can survive for three days without food or water, and even suffocation only leads to unconsciousness due to lack of oxygen in the brain; it doesn’t mean you will die immediately. So, would you like to know how many pieces you would need to be cut into while still alive before you actually die? And I have quite a bit of knowledge about anatomy. There are many different ways to dissect." 0

Marlon approached one person, leaving the cloth in their mouth untouched as they lay bound on the bed. Anyone unaware would think Marlon was about to do something terrible. His demeanor certainly suggested so, as he used the scalpel to slice open the person's clothing. No one found it suggestive; instead, they were filled with terror. 0

The scalpel glided across the man's chest, and the bound individual could feel the sharp blade cutting through his skin. 0

"Don't move. If you shift, the blade could easily cause irreversible damage to your internal organs, and that would ruin the perfection of the dissection." 0

Marlon spoke as if addressing a lover. 0

"Starting from the collarbone, slowly make a V-shaped incision, then gradually cut down the middle, around the navel, and use forceps to open the chest cavity. Then you'll be able to see your heart—beating beautifully." 0

"Thud!" 0

“Waaah!” 0

The person lying on the bed was already in tears, not only that, but also had lost control of their bowels. 0

“How disgusting.” 0

Marlon got off the bed in disgust. The one on the bed had been thoroughly broken by him, but in doing so, they had also opened up their inner defenses. 0

“Now, I will ask, and you will answer. If I haven't asked you, don't say a word, understood?” 0

Although Marlon smiled gently, this state was even more terrifying in the eyes of the other captives. 0

Several people quickly nodded, and then Marlon began to question them one by one. Of course, he kept them separated; he wouldn’t let them share their testimonies. 0

“Is it over?” 0

Ginger was waiting outside and was quite bored. 0

“Yeah, let’s go. Just treat Raven Tail as an accident; it has nothing to do with Eclipse Gate. Besides, I’ve given them the necessary punishment.” 0

Marlon shrugged and returned to the clinic with Ginger. 0
