The Second Magic Source had finally been activated, and Newton looked at the group on the ground, drenched in sweat.
"How does it feel?"
Everyone instinctively tapped into their magical power, and a wave of surprise washed over them as they realized their magic had nearly doubled.
"Newton, let's fight—"
Natsu was sent flying by a single punch from Newton.
"Although your magic power is impressive now, the combat experience I've accumulated over the past seven years is no joke."
Newton smirked.
"Next, Ginger, you train them to use the armor."
Ginger nodded, and an armor piece flew over.
"Is this all there is to it?"
Natsu recovered quickly; Newton hadn't hit him hard, and he immediately stood up, his eyes shining with excitement as he gazed at the approaching armor.
"Fire Dragon's Iron Fist!"
Buzz!
A gust of azure wind swirled around one arm of the armored figure, surprisingly blowing away Natsu's flames. In this confrontation, Natsu was not at an advantage against the armored opponent.
"Buzz!"
A patch of earthy yellow on the armor began to glow, and then a rock pillar shot up from the ground. Natsu rolled backward, but before he could regain his footing, a large water sphere came crashing down toward him.
"Is all of this from the Magic Crystal?"
Everyone was somewhat astonished, then noticed that each time a different color lit up on the armor, it released a different type of attack.
"That's right, everyone. Don't just stand there; let's train together."
Several armored figures flew over, perfectly matching the number of people present.
"Wait a minute, Wendy, you don't need to train."
Newton suddenly spoke up.
"I have some matters to discuss with you."
Although everyone was curious, at that moment, the armor had already begun to move under Jiang's control, and each person immediately tensed up to face their respective opponents.
However, at that moment, Ultia also called out to Gray.
"Hold on, Newton. Leave Gray to me. After all, I have inherited my mother's bloodline; I should be able to provide some guidance to Gray regarding ice-type magic."
"Alright, then I'll leave it to you."
Newton had no objections to this, allowing the armor to leave for the battle against Gray. Along the way, Zhubian repeatedly tried to join Gray, but was ruthlessly suppressed by the armor.
Newton then took Wendy out of the training ground and into his laboratory, which was empty except for three cats. Indeed, Newton had not allowed the Transcenders to participate in the opening of the Second Magic Source.
"Mr. Newton, is there something you need?" Wendy asked, curious about why Newton had called her.
"Well, you know Ms. Poluchika..."
Newton proceeded to share Poluchika's words with Wendy.
"A dragon?"
Wendy felt quite incredulous, and a hint of longing appeared in her eyes.
"Then, Mr. Newton, will I be able to see Ms. Poluchika when the time comes?"
"Of course. Don't be fooled by how Ms. Poluchika claims to hate humans; she's actually a warm-hearted person beneath that cold exterior. If you want to go, you can visit her anytime."
Newton ruffled Wendy's hair and handed her two books of magic notes before calling over the three Transcenders.
"I believe you've already witnessed the power of the armor on Wolf Island. The reason I haven't added the Second Magic Source to you is that we haven't experimented with it on Transcenders yet, so I can't guarantee that the current situation will suit you. What I mean is that you should still rely on the armor as your combat strength."
The last battle between Wolf Island and Demon Heart was largely thanks to the efforts of these three Transcenders. If they hadn't destroyed Hades' Demon Heart, cutting off his infinite supply of magical power, the outcome could have been dire.
"Hey, Newton, are we getting new armor this time?"
Haru expressed his excitement. As a boy, he also had thoughts of confronting enemies directly, but he was too weak and could only serve as Natsu's support in battle. However, the last encounter at Wolf Island had given him a taste of what it felt like to face an enemy head-on.
"I won't need it."
Sharlulu didn't refuse, but Lily's refusal was expected by Newton. This Transcender had a remarkably noble character, perhaps even better than most people, and she likely didn't want to accept external gifts. That was fine; after all, Lily was already quite powerful on her own, with swordsmanship that could rival Erza.
"Alright then, Lily, you can go find them. They're outside on the beach practicing with their armor. You should join them for some training."
Lily nodded and left with the large sword she had collected from Demon Heart, which could change size at will.
"Okay, now I'll take you two to see the armor. Although I've already built the main structure, I haven't equipped it with weapons yet. Take a look at what you need and let me know so I can help you modify it."
Newton had considered filling a warehouse with armor for these two as well, but he didn't quite understand how Transcenders fought. It was better to let them choose for themselves; he would adjust it for them later. Plus, having one sample meant that he could easily tweak the rest of the various armors.
When Haru and Sharlulu entered Newton's warehouse, they were immediately stunned by the sight of the armor inside.
"Wow! Newton, this..."
Haru stared in amazement at one piece of armor. Was that really armor? It seemed almost too...
"What do you think? Impressive, right?"
Newton was quite pleased. He knew that if the contents of this warehouse were to be exposed, it would be a world-shattering discovery. However, he had no intention of letting them out; if possible, he would prefer to never use these items in his lifetime.
"Alright, let's take a look at your armor now."
The Transcender was essentially a large cat-like figure, so the armor resembled oversized figurines. But that didn't mean it was simple; Newton had polished the details of these two sets of armor to a considerable extent.
Haru and Sharlulu were naturally very satisfied and quickly began making requests to Newton. He diligently recorded each one, preparing to equip the two armors with weapons and systems later that night.
However, just as Newton was about to get started in the evening, he received a message from Jin.
"The king summons you?"
Newton frowned, unsure why the king wanted to see him at this time. Could it be regarding the people from Wolf Island? That seemed unlikely; the king had already sent someone during the banquet. Perhaps it was about the upcoming Great Magic Games? But that didn’t make sense either; it had been several years since it started. Aside from causing trouble at the beginning, he hadn’t been involved in any significant issues in the subsequent events.
"Forget it, I'll go see what it's about tomorrow."
Newton replied to Jin and then immersed himself in the urgent modifications of the armor.
