Newton and One Night arrived at the town rumored to have two Dragon Slayer Mages. However, to Newton's surprise, there weren't many people around; he only saw Xianglian and Ivan, whom he had met once before.
Newton looked at One Night with amusement.
"Is it okay for you to tell me this news like that?"
It was clear that One Night had learned about the two Dragon Slayer Mages through Ernight and hadn't shared this information with anyone else.
"It's fine, it's fine. Consider it a favor for you."
One Night was indeed a decent person. After greeting the three members of the Azure Wind Antelope, Newton and One Night headed toward where the two rumored Dragon Slayer Mages were located.
"One Night, do you know why those two haven't revealed themselves?"
Newton was curious about this. It was definitely not easy for idle Mages; they usually chose to join a Guild. But judging by One Night's demeanor, it seemed these two Dragon Slayer Mages had no intention of joining a Guild, and their identities as Dragon Slayer Mages hadn't been exposed yet.
"I don't know, but it's not right for you to remain undisclosed either."
One Night shook his head.
"According to Ernight, they've actually been adventuring for some time now. However, it seems they have no plans to join a Guild. One idolizes Natsu, while the other admires Gajeel. Originally, they intended to join Natsu's and Gajeel's Guilds—Fairy Tail and Specter—but you know how things were back then."
One Night didn't elaborate further. Indeed, since Specter rose to power, they had been eyeing Fairy Tail closely; anyone with a bit of sense could see that these two Guilds were at odds. With the two Dragon Slayer Mages together, they seemed to be good friends. If one joined Fairy Tail and the other Specter, conflict was inevitable; perhaps they just didn't want to fight each other.
After Specter's downfall, it became even clearer. Although Gajeel joined Fairy Tail, the members of Fairy Tail were initially distrustful of him. There must have been plenty of rumors circulating from Specter’s side as well, making it even more awkward for those two Dragon Slayer Mages to join.
Now… with Gajeel and Natsu both gone, it seemed there was even less reason for them to join Fairy Tail.
As Newton realized this, he found himself unable to recruit these two Dragon Slayer Mages after all; this time he really just came to take a look.
"One Night, you're not being very fair."
One Night was a delight.
"You know what, you can't just recruit those two."
Newton was momentarily speechless, then burst into laughter.
"Alright, alright, you win. But are you sure that my going over there won't drag you down?"
"What could possibly drag me down? Natsu and Gajeel aren't dead; they'll definitely come back. You don't really think those two would be angry, do you? Like they believe you killed Natsu and Gajeel?"
Newton thought about it and realized the logic made sense. While it was unlikely that they would join Fairy Tail, maintaining a good relationship was still feasible.
"We've arrived. This is the inn where Ernight and I are staying; they are here as well."
The two stood in front of an inn.
"What are their names?"
"Sting Eucliffe and Rogue Cheney."
They entered the inn and knocked on a door.
"Who is it?"
Inside, there was a flurry of sounds, followed by what seemed like something being knocked over, and then a series of strange cries.
"Should we just barge in?"
Newton raised an eyebrow.
"Shouldn't be any trouble, right?"
One Night also felt a bit uncertain.
Then Newton opened the door, and less than a second later, he closed it again.
"Sorry to interrupt, please continue."
After saying that, he pulled One Night into the hall.
"What's wrong?"
Newton had opened and closed the door so quickly that One Night barely had time to react and almost got hit in the nose.
"Nothing, nothing at all."
Newton smirked slightly and then put on a thoughtful expression.
"I think I understand why those two don't want to be apart."
"Huh?"
One Night was completely caught off guard. What exactly did Newton see when he opened the door? Curiosity stirred within One Night, who really wanted to find out what had happened in the room. But just then, Sting and Rogue rushed down, frantically searching for something in the hall.
Meanwhile, Newton took this opportunity to observe the two of them.
Both boys were quite handsome; one had bright Blonde hair that looked very sunny, while the other had dark hair that covered half of his face. They seemed like light and shadow.
At that moment, Sting and Rogue noticed Newton smiling as he scrutinized them and immediately rushed over.
"You..."
The golden-haired one, Sting, had just opened his mouth to say something, but was interrupted by Newton.
"It's fine, I didn't see anything just now."
"No, we..."
On the other side, the black-haired one, Rogue, also anxiously tried to speak, but was cut off by Newton again.
"Really, it's okay. The world is very open now; there are many ways to fall in love. I won't look at your relationship through colored glasses."
Newton continued to smile, but at that moment, both Sting and Rogue felt like they were about to spit blood. The way people around them were looking at them had changed. Especially at that moment, One Night was giving them an "oh~ so that's how it is" look.
"Is there an affair?"
Just then, a group of onlookers, the Transcenders, were enjoying the drama. Rekt, dressed in a blue vest, covered his mouth as he watched.
Meanwhile, Frosy, wearing a frog costume, added to the chaos.
"I never would have guessed that Sting and Rogue had this kind of relationship~"
"We're not in that kind of relationship!"
Sting and Rogue were truly going crazy. This was bullying! The most frustrating part was that the more they tried to explain, the more unclear it became.
"Alright, alright. Young people are quicker to accept new things than us old folks. It's fine, it's fine."
Newton struck again with his comments.
"That's right, we really don't mind your View on Love!"
One Night chimed in with a sharp remark.
"View on Love~"
These were two Transcenders.
"You..."
Sting was completely agitated, his magical energy beginning to flow. Newton raised an eyebrow; it indeed felt like Dragon Slayer Magic. Although the intensity was somewhat weaker than that of Natsu Dragneel, there was a different sensation. It wasn't about the attribute, but rather the essence of the magic. If it were to rise, it would be somewhat excessive, reminiscent of when Natsu consumed Laxus's magic.
"Do you also have Magic Crystal in your body?"
Newton suddenly exclaimed.
"How do you know?"
Sting abruptly calmed down, furrowing his brow, while Rogue also grew wary.
"Don't get agitated; let's find a place to talk properly."
